Lune made it home fine and happy. That is, was until he stepped inside. IT was quiet and there was a soft chill that was noticable, but not threatening. Lune sighed heavily. Here we go...

{It's okay.}

Lune put his things away and entered the dinning room where dinner was awaiting him, along with his wife, who was already sitting down. "I'm home."

Lune's wife looked up with a smile. "Dear, you've finally returned from work. Dinner is ready! Come eat! Oh, and don't worry about Tezuka, he's spending the night at the dojo with you father~." Her smile was icy.

{I know! I based her off of Chichi from DBZ. Somewhat. That woman scared me, a lot.}

Lune sat at the table and the two of the ate. When it was getting close to the end, his wife spoke up. "You've changed, dear."
He looked up slight startled. "Changed how?"
She gave him a wry smile. "You know how animals track their own?"
He blinked, trying to understand the topic change. "By scent and mannerisms."
She smiled. "Your scent and mannerisms have changed dramatically since your return. Care to tell me why?"

Lune blinked and held his worry in. "I've undergone a dramatical change, huh? If you're saying it, it must be true."
"I know I'm right. You smile more. Your eyes have become kind. And, if I dare say it, you have a bit of 'pep' in your step when you leave for work." For a moment, her eyes flickered sadly. "Did...did something happen between you and that co-worker of yours?"

Lune fell silent for a while before he asnwered. "Yes. Yes, you could say that. In a business where it is each man for his own, we were bitter enemies. Always scowling and avoiding each other... But you already know that much..." He looked at her. "On the island, it was my knowledge that kept us alive. But it was each other's company that kept us sane." Hiw eyes became warm for a moment.
"I-I see... So, this...Alex-san... is he dear to you?" She asked in a shrinking voice.
"...I will not lie. He's the first of few that I'd admit to be quite upset to lose."

Lune's wife was becoming more worried. "So, is he a friend or..."
Lune sighed. "'Friend' is too weak a word for him. But he poses no treat to my family." He stated calmly. I, myself, have held that position since birth. But she would disagree and then this conversation will never end...
Lune's wife seemed to accept that and relaxed greatly. "Oh! I see! Well, I guess it's to be expected since you both seem so similar!"
"Hm...I guess we are..." And that was the end of that.

Lune's wife went to sleep as Lune himself trained for an hour before going to sleep.

The next morning, Lune got up early as usual and headed to work.

"Hm? Oh, morning Alex!" Lune smiled warmly. "My wife took it well. So I'm good right now. And seeing your face makes it even better." He finished gently.
