Naito walked out beside the others. He was begining to wonder what was going on, but nonetheless kept his cool quiet attitude.
Balto was trying to figure out things out. "I wonder who could be helping Cheshire. I mean, one moonlit can't do it alone, can they?"

Journey trotted out and smiled up at the sun. "So good to get out again." She said softly, taking a moment to stretch out and roll in the grass, and taking a sneaky peek to see how the mysterious necklace shone in the sunlight.
She looked over at Balto. "Well, there's at least two naow. Who knows how many it'd take."
**from the sitting room**
Coming around the corner of the house, Garaden was speedwalking and throwing looks back at Ivan, who was dragging behind a bit, lost in thought. "Gosh, stop thinking Ivan! It slows you down!" He whined, then barking happily when he saw the knights outside. "Oh good. I tried to hurry. We didn't want to keep you waiting."
Ivan padded behind Garaden, ignoring his young friend's grumbling. He still couldn't believe his children were already interested in coming on missions. His daughter least of all! He didn't know what to think. Precious Ginny on an unknown quest... And Kay. Was he anywhere near ready for a mission? They were children! His children! He tried to think back to Garaden's first mission. It wasn't a very different feeling back then... but it didn't seem so harsh and sharp as this.

A figure was standing in the woods studying the knights. His eyes were narrowed as he watched them come out. He figured that they would be on a mission going after the two moonlits from earlier. "So here are the knights........." He muttered grinning suddenly, "Let's play. I still need to get that info for her." He wasn't ready to reveal himself quite yet. He needed to figure out what to do in order to get that info. So he stayed in the shadows and waited for the knights to come closer.

((And so mr. mysterious moonlit enters the scene ninja ))
Atreyu glanced back at the door and the porch where the pawprints where and groaned when he noticed that the paw prints ended and disappeared into the grass. Hearing Journey, he looked up at her and barked at her.
"The prints end here but... did you see or hear anything of where Cheshire may be heading when you went back?" He asked her. His ears twitched as he heard Kai readying himself to pounce. "Don't you dare Kai. Concentrate..."
Ignoring the pink male's groan of defeat, he nodded his head at Garaden and Ivan as they joined the group and shook his head at Garaden.
"We weren't waiting here long Garaden. You're right on time actually. It seems you didn't have to drag Ivan along with you. Did you get him catch him up on everything that's been going on?"
Kai had jumped out from his hiding spot and was about to pounce on Ivan for being too caught up in his thoughts. He had been excited to be able to mess with his old friend again but at Atreyu's reprimand, he groaned and settled for bopping Ivan on the head and grumbling a greeting to him. At Journey and Balto's words, Kai managed to center his attention on that and groaned.
"Don't even make it seem like there are more wolves out there that could be plotting things like that. Don't you think two is enough?"

Naito sighed a bit. "I guess you're right Kai. Even I hate admitting that, but I guess some things can't be helped." He looked a bit sad for an instant almost like he really didn't want to have to battle, especially after looking so foolish from the last battle he attempted and angering almost the whole group.
Balto looked at Naito. "Look. Don't worry. It's not like we are going to the slaughterhouse. All we have to do is figure out what is going on." He was used to be scolding or being made fun of because of his appearance so he didn't give a hoot if these pranksters were going to make fun of him or not.

Journey shook her head at Kai and smiled bravely. "But won't it be a relief when you're considering the possibility of moah wolves involved and find out it really is juz two?" She looked at Atryeu and frowned in thought. "I think they said something about pinecones... Yes! At least one was goin' inta the woods for pinecones. What they want them for I don't know."
Garaden nodded. "Yup. I told him everything. I'm just not sure he listened." He rolled his eyes and padded over to whisper to Atreyu. "Kay and Guinevere asked if they could come on the quest with us. I don't think Ivan was ready to hear that." He said with a slight smirk.
Ivan was still off in his world when he was suddenly hit on the head. He yelped and growled before realizing it was just Kai. So he growled again, a bit more playfully than before, and swatted Kai's shoulder. "You know better than to sneak up on a guy in thought." He said, turning to see who all was there. Having just returned to 'real life' he caught an odd end of Balto's phrase. "What? Slaughterhouse? Are there more?!" He asked in confusion.

The figured watched the knights and growled impatiently. "Come on come on. Get a move on you idiots." He whispered under his breath. His ears perked up when he caught a bit of what Garaden was saying. "Who's Kay and Guinevere?" He asked himself, "Perhaps they are what she's looking for." He wanted to pace around so badly but he made himself stay still while he waited for the knights to draw near.

"Yeah yeah yeah big guy, it's nice to see you again as well." Kai said, rolling his eyes at Ivan before turning back to Naito, Balto and Journey. "As much as I don't want to admit to thinking like that, I guess ol' Journey has a point. Think big...think big...hm" He paused and began to laugh. "I don't know if its working. Imagining a large army of kung fu trained wolves seems a bit much. Anyway," He turned to Naito and laughed nervously. "It seems things can't be helped but oh well, gotta prepare yourself to go in it valiantly. We are knights anyway and well, I don't know about you guys but I'm prepared to get this over with."
Kai took a deep breath and trotted off towards the woods, his nose to the ground to try and find Cheshire's scent.
"It was bound to happen sooner or later. I think they're a little older than what Ivan himself was when he joined up. I think this is entertaining watching him struggle with parenthood." Ateryu laughed and glanced at Journey and nodded his head. "So they're looking for pinecones? Alright then everyone, it seems we going to go for a little walk in the woods. Are you guys prepared?" He noticed Kai already setting off towards the trees and he shook his head. "He's surprisingly eager."

Balto nodded his head. "yep, definately more than one." He then looked at Atreyu while heading off. "Right behind you."
Naito looked at Kai. "Well do you mind if I stick around you? That way I won't feel so nervous?"

Journey nodded knowingly. "Of course I have a point Sir Kai! Don't I always?" She tried to keep a straight face and her nose up as she trotted after him to the woods.
Garaden tilted his head at Atreyu and smirked. He wanted to ask more about when Ivan had joined, but getting the dirt on his mentor would apparently have to wait.
"Pinecones? What the heck for?" He asked, bounding after the others.
Ivan blinked a bit and shook his head roughly. 'Slaughterhouse' had caught him off guard, but he was back on track.
Pushing thoughts of his kids back, he looked over at Atreyu. "We've apparently got all the information we can get. So.. Ready as I'll ever be." He said as a tingle went up his spine. He frowned and glared into the woods. It felt like... someone was watching them... He started toward them hesitantly, trying to see what was making his fur itch. No one else seemed to notice it... Was it just him feeling false things? Still, he continued looking as he walked.

As the knights made their way to the woods, the mysterious figure grinned. It was about time. He listened more to what they were saying and picked up that they were after someone or rather someones. He took a deep breath before stepping out to the knights. "Um...... excuse me but did I hear you correctly? That you are searching for someone who's after pinecones?" He asked fully stepping out of the shadows and allowing the light to hit his white fur.

Kai heard Garaden and turned to look back at him.
"Pinecones? Maybe they're making a christmas tree. If they are, I don't see why we're chasing them down. I would love to celebrate Christmas in the summer." Kai glanced at Naito and nodded his head. "That's fine with me. We can stick together like glue. Lady Journey, you're free to join us if you want." He laughed and put his nose back down on the ground and continued to sniff and walk until a voice caught his attention. He yelped and jumped back, his fur bristling as he growled at the newcomer.
Atreyu followed after the others silently; observing everything around him. He could catch faint traces of Cheshire's scent here and there but it seemed the crazy wolf was going to be elusive as ever. A slight feeling of unease suddenly gripped him and he paused in his steps and looked up just as Kai yelped and fell back at the sound of a voice. Atreyu's eyes narrowed slightly and he stepped towards Garaden and Ivan. He lowered his voice for only them to hear as he spoke to them.
"Be careful... he could be the other prankster." The moment he caught full sight of the wolf that spoke, Atreyu frowned slightly and was somewhat hit with the feeling that he had seen a similar wolf before. Lifting his head, he managed a smile to the wolf.
"Hello there and yes, we are looking for someone after pinecones."

Naito noticed that it was Akamaru's son, but didn't know what to say. He hadn't seen him since he was never really around to see and neither was Akamaru. Akamaru was mainly training his daughter Rayna on the ninja dog ways, but things might have changed since the owner left the shop due to problems.
Balto nodded his head at Atreyu's comment, but remained his cool composure. He really didn't show that much aggression towards anyone unless if they insulted or attacked him.
(I just put down the info of why Akamaru has been away from what Shii said last time...feel free to change it if you wish afterwards)

Journey stared at Kai. "Christmas in da summer!? Jimeny, it's already a near three month celebration, why on earth wouldja want ta extend it?" ((because decorations seem to start coming out in November, nearly October, and don't go away until well into January >< ))When the new wolf stepped out, she mearly paused and tilted her head. "Hi!" She yipped, wagging her tail in greeting.
Garaden shook his head. "Hey, you never know. It would be confusing for some to wake in summer and find a Christmas tree inside..." He started chuckling at the thought, but a new voice and Kai's growls reached his ears and his head snapped up, lowered quickly and growled in reaction. He cut his growl short though and relaxed a bit, when no attack seemed iminent. He kept his head down though, his eyes on the strange male after hearing Atreyu's suggestion. He rolled his eyes at Journey, repressing a smirk. Why was she so perky?
Ivan stopped short, ears back. There had been someone out there! But was he dangerous? He nodded slightly back to Atreyu, then frowned. Like Atreyu, he felt a sense of deja vu. This wolf seemed familiar, yet not. His body was tensed and his calculating eyes gave off a less than welcoming vibe, but not neccessarily intentional. He remained behind everyone, simply watching and trying to figure out why the wolf ticked the back of his mind as he did.

Katsuo winced as he noticed that some of the knights acted strangely at the sight of him. He pondered about that for a second before something clicked. He was once told that he looked liked his good for nothing father. He shook his head and took a deep breath, trying to focus on the task at hand. "Well I've been out here wandering around for a while now...... My mate...... she's ....... well...... she'sbeenfedupwithme. ....... And I needed to get away from her before she ...... snapped...." He said realizing he had just blurted out part of the truth to the knights. Hai was furious..... no furious didn't even cover how Hai was about him helping out Agrona. They had been fighting for the past couple of days and he finally grew tired of it and left. "Well anyways. ......." He said pausing nervously, "I was out here trying to calm down and give her time to calm down when I heard a couple of guys pass by talking about pinecones. Then I heard you guys mention something about pinecones and a couple of wolves so I thought you might be looking for them." He stopped wondering how in the world he was going to pull this off.
