 The girl straightened up, shaking her head as she caught her breath and reaching out to grip his hand in hers. 'I-I do know...i-it's not where I want to be either...b-but...just let me go get our stuff...' Goosie tried, feeling another pang of guilt at the thought of well and truly abandoning everyone but pushing it aside. Bristan looked so desperate to leave...

The girl let go of his hand, frowning at him. He wasn't being reasonable at all. 'W-we've managed this far--I'm not leaving my stuff--j-just wait, okay?' Not giving him a chance to argue, Goosie hastily opened a portal and slipped through.

Bristan scowled. Why didn't she see how dangerous that place was? It was almost falling down! He sighed instead, waiting for her return.

A DRK portal opened up nearby and Goosie hastily trekked back, a few things in hand. As she nearly lost her footing on a root, the book she'd had under her arm slipped and hit the ground with a gentle thump. The blonde hastily righted herself and picked it up, hesitating before holding it out to him, 'U-um...well...I-I was going to give this to you for your birthday...I guess now it doesn't matter as much but...'

'I--um...I did it when I thought you were gonna be trapped a while longer but I guess you're free now...so...' Goosie said, feeling a little sheepish. The book was a small album, crammed full of pictures of various places, some out in nature, some from rooftops, standing on cliffs, even some of her favorite places in Gambino had made their way in. There were a few that seemed recognizable but the majority must have been taken in remote locations on Gaia. A small piece of paper was attached to the first page and it read: One day when all of this is through

His look of initial confusion soon broke into a little smile, before a full on grin."You took all these...?" He asked quietly, before he got to the poem. His eyes swiveled over the words as he read, and for a second, he may have had a tear in his eye. He blinked it away quickly before she saw, before tackling her into a hug.

Goosie stumbled back but caught his hug all the same and embraced him. She smiled and closed her eyes, resting her head against his shoulder. 'I'm really glad you're free.' The blonde told him, nuzzling into his neck.

Keeping her arms around him, Goosie nodded as she listened, smiling a little. It faltered at the mention of Tenshi...she was sure Nalini had said something about that but she felt like it was the wrong time to bring it up. Instead she quietly said '...Bristan...? I wanna do all of those things...but...' Her stomach did a flip flop and she buried her face in his shoulder, saying a muffled 'Ph-phyx is back there, Bristan, a-and the other techs...' she opted to leave out Koth, or even Sam, whom she still wished she could save in some small way.

She drew back a little, her arms still around him but now able to look at his face. Goosie's eyes searched for his sadly through his sunglasses before she averted them, 'Sam wants to end the world...running won't help if she succeeds...'
