Kessaris eyes widened, the feeling of somnolence fleeing his mind as the news was broke. Without words or any wasted time, he jolts up the steps knocking Decia over. "What's wrong she asks, regaining herself after almost falling over the banister. "I'm going to check on a friend." Kess simply responds.
He reaches the infirmary on the upper levels and brushes past the guards and doctors giving them a golden eyed glare. He nears Riko, sadness etched into his face and asks,"What---what's wrong? I heard you were sick and I can as soon as I could. What's going on Riko?"

Riko was playing with a sand ball and looked at Kessaris, making it disappear. "The doctors said my powers were basically eating away at me... they said I lose them every so often like Alyss... but they said every time I used them I got worse and worse." She sat up slowly, showing bruises on her arms. "I still want to go with you on that trip, Kessaris..." Riko closed her eyes and her wings appeared, knowing it was best if she didn't hide them anymore. "It's been to long that I've kept my wings a secret from people..." She spread them out, showing that they were molting, lacking the nutrients. "I'm so sick, Kessaris..."

Kessaris watched as feather fell and a tear hit the ground before it did. "Your powers...are doing this to you?" He looked away at the door, then back to her. "Is there an easier way? Like, using them less?" Kess was still speechless, thinking only of ideas to help her.

Kendal hadn't even tried to sleep that night there was too much on his mind to sleep. He had been walking around Shale prolonging his return to Alloy. He walked by the infirmary and saw Kessaris and Riko. He saw the wings and frowned he walked in "I hate to intrude but is everything alright?" He asked.

Shin looked at the little girl and chuckled. "I'll be back for her when she's.. older.." He said to them both. "I don't get why this little thing means so much to you, such a precious thing to kill..." He whispered then laughing, holding the little girl up he then dropped her to the ground, making her land with a bang on the ground, hoping to hurt her. "Maybe she'll learn her lesson next time.." He said, looking at the other two, suddenly, a black portal opened up behind him and he smirked. "Now is not the time to be taking this girl..." He said, quickly disappearing into the portal, leaving everything silent and the way it was.

Nephilis sighs heavily as he brings the unconscious Lunia to him. He hadn't the power of thought manipulation so convincing her it was dream would be difficult. "Let's just go home...." He said before teleporting back. He rests Lunia in her correct place and retreats to his room. Unfortunately, such a long time as a Celestial taught him never to require sleep.

Plague looked at the house and walked through it. He had let his needles vanish into the void from were they came from. He placed his hand on the wall and released a small amount of his shadows into it. " Now This place will never be out of my reach I can only wonder what such a strange man wanted with a small child...idiot. " Plague said as he walked from the house and blew away into mist each step a little more of him vanished.

Riko sighed. "I can try Kessaris..." She looked at Kendal and coughed. "I'm just really sick... Alyss is in her room looking somethings up if you want her." She was looking at Kessaris. "Kendal I need to talk to Kess a lone..." She watched as a nurse escorted him out and shut the door. "I'm trying my best, Kessaris... very... sorry."

Kessaris set back in the chair beside Riko's bed and looked at her unblinking. "Well...if you're sick, you don't have to go." he said with sadness. "Besides, the last thing I want to do is put you in danger. In any danger at all Riko. I guess this would be in your best interest.

Riko's shoulders slumped, her silver hair fell over them slowly. "I didn't want to see you forget me, Kessaris. You just wanted to go on this trip and... and I just want to be with you because we didn't get to spend time at the festival..." She sighed, watching another feather fall to the floor. The black feather disappeared into a pile of sand. "I don't want to wither away..." She starts to cry, her wings grew even longer, folding to where they touched the floor from the tall bed.

"Maybe Alastor can help." he said, still moapingly. "I mean, he woke me up when I was out after what happened. Maybe he can fix you up tomorrow. I mean, we're not leaving for a while I'm sure." Kess sits up in his chair, then sits forward placing his arms over his legs. "It's up to you though."

"Thats all it's going to be about isn't it? Alastor this? Alastor that? You know Alyss was going to tell you the whole story. Alastor isn't in any books of citizens in Shale." Riko sat up, her back straight and carrying the air of annoyance. "Have it your way... I won't go... you don't seem to want me too.." She looked away, the pile of sand became a feather again, reattaching it's self to her wing. "Maybe all you need is Keliah and Morganna... not your girlfriend." She said softly, closing her eyes and sighing. She felt useless.

Kessaris looked at her, confused and dazed as his eyes widened. "If I didn't want you to join me, then do you think I would've suggested his help?" he was caught off guard by her statement and sat back again. "Listen, that's not true. It's just if there is anything I can do to help you, I will. I want you to see the world with me. I don't want to be alone."

Riko got up, a little uneasy and hugged him. "Thank you, Kessaris... can you walk me to my room, I don't want to stay in this hospital bed." She grabbed her shoes and smiled at Kessaris, her wings disappearing soon after. "I'm sorry... I just feel so useless now that Keliah is around. She has all her powers and I die from mine..." She took his hand, starting to walk down to her room.

"I didn't want you to stay in that hospital bed either. And there's something I should tell you, but don't tell anyone else okay?" Kessaris smiles at her in confidence and opens his free hand revealing a flicker of fire that he manipulates to dance around like revolving planets around a bright star. "Keliah's power and Morganna's power." He closes his hand fizzling out the fire and opens it again. There was a diamond. "Your power and my own." He does it once more, creating a small breeze that he needed to relax. "Ricky's power. I'm sure I've told you, but Neph told me a long time ago that I was something like an Aura Sponge or other. I can absorb powers just by standing near someone. Maybe if I can find a healer, I can heal you."
