Jordan sighed and sat down, his back against the wall. I should probably wait for Orion and Shikyo. Damn this is just getting worse. Jordan looked around bored, he hoped they would get to him soon.

Shikyo left the study. A tennis ball-sized, bright-orange beetle approach Jordan and experimentally nibbled at his boot.

Many possibilities ran through Orion's head. Maybe death wasn't the only possibility...
He noticed his body's chest moving slightly with shallow breaths.

Jordan looked down and gasped. The only beetles known be this big were only found in Egypt, and they weren't this colour either. They could be running experiments in this place. That might be why they invited people, I'll bet they use the people for their sick studies. Jordan knew better than to touch an unknown lifeform, he still stayed sitting but made no movement to touch it.

Orion calmed down and watch himself breathing. “Maybe I'm not dead. Maybe I'm in an coma. Might as well wait till I wake up or until someone comes to get me.” Orion reached for his laptop when he realized it wasn't there. “Oops. Physical object don't come with ghosts or whatever I am.”

Henry nodded in agreement.
Shepard sighed. "I suppose. Let's get going, OK?" With that, he set off down the path. He walked quickly.

Jordan put his flashlight in front of the beetle to redirect it's path. If the beetle tried to get anywhere above his knees he would try to redirect it's path. Ugh it's revolting, why did it have to be a bug?

Shepard realized that he had somewhere to be and left without warning.

The bug couldn't find purchase on the flashlight and fell to the floor, landing on it's back.

Jordan flipped it back on it's feet with his flashlight. Bugs may have disgusted him but they also interested him. He couldn't stop looking at it.

The beetle investigated the flashlight briefly with it's antennae. It seemed grateful for the help and to have taken a liking to Jordan.
