C.J. aimed his pistol at the sword. "Naw. I'm just gonna ask ya reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal kindly-like t' put that oversized toothpick down and open the door." he growled. He really didn't want to do this but this may be the fight he was gonna wind up in.

"I don't wanna fight you, but frankly, t'day ain't exactly been a picnic . . . an' my writer has told me to inform you that if it comes down to it, I'll start firin'. Your choice."

I DID NOT SAY THAT!!! He didn't mean it, he's a nice guy, could charm a bird on your shoulder, honest! Please, Sapph, back me up here, he's a good guy. He HATES violence. Hell, I hate violence! Can't we just sort this out like rational people?!

"Writer, the time for rational thought ended when she pulled out that big pig-sticker."

Crap . . . I might be writing for a dead guy! C'mon, Misty!! Wake up!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

Typhoid grinned back at him and licked her lips. "Go right ahead there, babe. I'll let you boys play first." she purred.

With that, the remaining men aimed their guns at CJ and opened fire again.

The noise...along with her ever useful ability to heal herself...was enough to finally wake Misty out of the knock out gas that Yuriko had used on her. Not that it did her much good with how strapped down she was. The amount of guns and sharp objects in the room. And the fact that she still couldn't do very much moving with her "little problem".

"Oh ya gotta be shitting me." C.J. groaned, barely dodging two of the bullets. The other hitting the gun itself, which fell to the ground, broken.

"Why the HELL didn't I get Crystal to come with me- Heeeeeey! THAT'S an idea!!!!" What, wait, Oh NO . . . listen, doc. I think she's a little preoccupied with the fluffy thing and the Yakuza. I mean it's not like the calvary's gonna come for you, is it?

"At this rate, bud. I'm gonna die either way."

Look, we might be able to get around this. Wait. I got a better idea. Get Aiden.

"WHAT?!? ARE YOU NUTS?!? He's in NEW YORK! By the time he gets here, I'll be DEAD!!!"

C.J., calm down. Since WHEN have I lead you wrong?

"That may take a while. Want me to make you a list?"

Okay okay okay, that was supposed to be RHETORICAL. Look, those gadgets Misty's tied up near. Try to distract the gunmen long enough to get them to run out of bullets, then work the machinery to take 'em out!

"Doc, you're CRAZY."

If you don't you're gonna DIE. Either by those three mooks or Malaria Terri.

"TYPHOID MARY."

Whatever!!!

C.J. threw the butt end of the gun towards the light switch, taking the whole room into total darkness. Which would be helpful if C.J. could see in the da- wait, did he . . . ?

"I found these in the Batmobile." he said and activated his nightvision goggles.

That has Soooooo got to be godmodding. I mean I can see the frying pan, but really? Night vision goggles?

"Art of survival, writer."

C.J. slid up to another one of the guards, being as sneaky as he could, he gave the guy a mondo wedgie.

/// Sorry, was busy ////

The guard yelped at the sudden....discomfort in his pants. Typhoid looked in their direction and smirked. "Burn..." she whispered quietly.

In the next moment, any bit of scrap cloth lying about the room became lit with flames. That took care of the whole black room problem. And made it rather easy for Mary and the others to see the little hero.

((No problem. Just take your time. biggrin ))

C.J.?

"I know, she lit the room on fire . . . maybe Misty, and possibly my a**, too."

You're good aren't you?

"Now if you don't mind . . ." "GAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! HOLY s**t MY a** IS ON FIRE!!!!!" he screamed, leaping into the air and landing on top of the second mook.

Aaaand ya know the funny part? He's not even on fire!!! HAHAHAHA OW!!! What th'?! Night-vision goggles?! Who THROWS NIGHT VISION GOGGLES?!?

"I DO, YA JERK!!!"

He darted around and ran over to Misty just as the sprinklers went off. "Just hang in there, darlin'. I'll get us out of this." he said with a wink, using the heat generated from the fire to cut the leather straps away . . . but wasn't able to do much for the cuffs . . . especially when he realized the THIRD mook was loose.

"Why didn't we just take the car to Canada? Great healthcare, no villains, only problem is that it's cold!!"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2012 1:52 pm

Misty groaned and looked over at him. She could smell smoke, the fire in the corner of the room, CJ beside her, and what....looked like a hospital room. They were still in the hospital, right? She just....passed out again apparently.

"Whats...what's going on?" she asked gently.

The third "mook" aimed his gun at both the man and woman strapped down to the table. "Last chance!" he barked. "Give it up or I'll put a hole in both of you."

C.J. looked nervous. "To put it in the sparknotes version, some person dressed as a nurse kidnapped you and took you to Fisk Towers . . . which is kinda where we are now. I came here to rescue you, and these mooks and senorita psychopath over there kinda want to not do very good things right now." he said. Then faced the big guy. Wait, I swear, I lose track. Is that a wrench?

"Take this a*****e. He's got a GUN! Who would be so dishonorable as to pull a gun on a nice lady, especially if we were in a hospital?" he swung the wrench at the man. "Dishonorable b*****d, it's me you want! HAVE AT THEE!!" he growled and dove at the man.

Wait, WHAT?!? Hold the phone. Benoit, did you JUST DIVE at a man with a GUN?!?

"Hey, do I sit around and make comments and snide remarks at YOU, Typewriter-boy?! Perhaps if you were down here to HELP me I wouldn't HAVE to do this alone!"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:12 pm

The man ducked just in time to miss the wrench, but didn't have enough time to get out of CJ's way. As the two scuffled, Typhoid smiled and slowly made her way over to Misty's bed. She kept her eyes on CJ, and carefully twirled her sword around in her hand.

Misty had tried to struggle as much as she could with the cuffs without straining herself too much. If she was in Fisk's place, then she was in big trouble. They both were.

She stopped when Mary stopped beside her bed and looked up at the woman. Typhoid grinned and leaned against the side of the table beside the bed.

The fight bounced around the room like a bouncy ball out of control with C.J. and the Mook in heated battle . . . which eventually got a little too close to Mary and . . .

THWACK!

C.J. grinned as he walked out of the way of the battle, he now held the wrench towards Typhoid Mary. "It's between you and me, Pneumonia Larry." he growled. Then paused in surprised. "D'oh! I mean Malaria Terri . . . great, now it's on the tip of my tongue . . . some disease and rhymes with Scary . . . it's gotta be . . .

I REMEMBER NOW!!! TYPHOID MARY!!! ENGARDE!!!"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:27 pm

Mary, who'd been knocked to the floor, just looked up at him with the same smug little smirk.

Right as a flower pot flew out of the corner of the room and smashed into the hand that was holding the wrench. Then a first aid kit flew in from another corner of the room and smacked him.

"You're move then, baby.." Mary purred.

"OW!!! Writer, who's side are you on, anyways?!"

Hey, I didn't do it. Must be senorita psychopath doing that!

"Uh-huh, and Arell's joining Alcoholics Anonymous."

C.J. still had the wrench in his hands, switching from his left (which got hurt from the flower pot) into his right, which happened to be his dominant hand. He smiled and stood there.

"Get up, Mary. I refuse to fight someone already on the ground. Much less fight a woman." he said. Seeming cold and brave. Oddly enough not the tornado of Slapstick comedy and radiating with what seemed to be light and happy. This was a man of honor.

"Well that's no fun." Typhoid purred, moving into a crouched position on the ground. "No fun fighting if the other person doesn't so much as move."

With that she lept at him, both of her swords drawn and ready to slice.

"This would be a LOT easier if you just let her go!" he yelped and dove to the left, revealing the rest of the support beam that he was behind. Wait, that can't be right. How'd you know about that?

"I said I wasn't gonna fight her. I NEVER said anything about setting up accidents to fight for me!"

You've been taking lessons from the Robins and other guys, haven't you?

"Is it MY fault I'm teamed up with a genius ditz and a gun-packing hooligan?"

Fair enough.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 17, 2012 11:45 am

Typhoid hit the support beam, but was fortunate enough to not swing her swords. She gently bounced off the beam and spun around to take another swing at CJ.

"Oh, now where's the fun in that, Baby?" she purred, taking another swing at his head. Before the blade could get very far, it was ensnared in a web of blue, crystal-like webbing hanging from the ceiling behind her.

Misty was still strapped down to the bed, but her focus was on the two fighting. Her eyes glowing a deep blue. She might not be able to physically do anything to help...but she could mentally control her sapphire strands to help.

C.J. was now leaning up against a wall, grinning merrily.

"Seeing the fact that the person very important to me just blocked you from turning me into a shish kebab? Probably one of the better things I've seen all day, Baby." he said before taking the picture of her snared up, snickering. Wait, what are you doing?

"Psycho got snared by love interest's superpowers. To be honest, I'm putting THIS on Faceplace!"

Wait, did you just rip off Myspace and Facebook at the same time?!

"I don't want to get SUED, moron."

Well, he didn't put it up on facebook, but the guy did smile as he walked over to Misty, gently getting close to the bed.

"Thanks for saving my life, hon." he said as he got to work on alleviating that little problem of her being chained to the bed. He looked at her for a quick beat.

"Say, you got a hairpin on you, hon?" he asked.
