Kimmi grunted as she helped move something out of the way of the main door to the room she needed. She touched the key pad and got nothing. "Damn. No power in this one, it must be shorted out." She moved to a console and started typing quickly. "Bingo! The air shaft in the room above this one leads right down into. Looks like we are on the move boys." She hit her mic. "Hit a snag in getting into the room K. We're switching to plan B, there is a room above this with an air shaft I can use to get into the main grid. We're headed that way."

"Roger. Maintain radio chatter." Kay answered, not sire how to answer but deciding to go with military like. She looked around the lab. It looked familar somehow.... Kay walked around one of the tables, getting to the end of her second cigarette. As she rounded the corner of the table she spotted something.... Records of some kind. Might be useful, Kay thought as she headed over to them. She radioed Pinky, "Hey, P. I think I've found the research labs record files...There might be something useful in here, or at the very least something to give us an idea of what they were doing here." she said bending down to pick up a file from the top of the pile.

Pinky hit the switch to open the mics and motioned for Milo and Otis to do the same as they entered the room they needed. "Open mikes are on, you and everyone else can hear whatever is going on now. There are more labs on the lowest floor of the building and even more in one of the other buildings." She commented as she pulled the grate off of the vent system. She popped her head in and ignored the worry twins as they started freaking out at her lack of precaution. "I swear you two are worse than Bubbles." She muttered. "Its not overly wide. I should have enough room to keep myself from sliding down. You two head back to the room and I'll open the door as soon as I get the power back on." She said to them.

Kimmi pulled herself into the vent and moving slow she made her way down to the next vent opening. "Why does it smell like vanilla?" She wondered out loud as she kicked at the vent. The vent gave and she slipped in, pulling her flashlight from her pouch. "Aha! Just what I was looking for, come to momma." She cracked her knuckles and in minutes had the vents open and in minutes few seconds had the power back on. "Bingo! We have power and air!" She said and turned around to open the door. Her eyes widened as she came face to face with some kind of cat looking thing that was hanging from the ceiling. She stood there for a second and with it moved towards her she let out a scream that would make even the undead's blood run cold.

Milo and Otis waited by the door, staring at the cieling or the floor "Fill is going to be pretty pissed if anything happ-" Kimmi's scream cut Otis off. They looked at each other and started to try and pry open the door.

The beast dropped from the ceiling at the sound of Kimmi's scream, its ears attuned to the quiet of the long inactive facility. It had six legs, and almost black fur. It was sleeker than a normal cat, but also bigger, about the size of a German Shepard.
Two of its paws, the most forward ones, clamped over its ears. It cringed away, but it still stared at Kimmi with white eyes. The beast's lip was curled back, the teeth showing brightly in the low light. It hissed like a house-cat, but there was a strange inflection to it.

Kimmi just stared wide eyed at the creature. "I think I just lost 5 more years of my life." She muttered shakily reffering to scare of the thing just appearing in front of her like that. She was poised so that she was looking around Kay's arm. She sniffed the air. "It smells like vanilla.......you smell like vanilla. You were in here when I came in?" She studied it's fur. "All I had was a flash light, I guess I wouldn't have seen you. You scared the crap out of me." She said watching it carefully she moved a bit around Kay and crouched down to it's level. "I hurt your ears? I'm sorry, but you startled me." She shrugged off Kay's hand when she moved forward a bit, keeping her crouch. "It would have hurt by now if it was planning it." She said hoping she was right as she smiled at the creature.

Kimmi smiled brightly and held out her hand. "No I didn't see you. You scared me and that's why I hurt your ears. I didn't mean to." She moved forward a bit. "I don't mean you any harm. I was just getting the power turned on and some fresh air into the base." She ignored Milo and Otis and concentrated on not making an enemy of something that could easily kill her.

Kay's weapon followed after the creatures attack and destroyed the zombie. Camly moving to the door she flicked the blood off of her sword as she pried the door open with one hand and let the others in. She kept her sword out and lit a caigrette, taking a long draw on it she turned to the cat creature and cocked her head to one side. "There wouldn't happen to more of your kind around here, would they?" she asked curious.

The cat-beast purred as Kimmi rubbed it's head "Yes, morrrrrrrrre kind...." it ignored Milo and Otis as they came in, and nearly wet themselves at the sight of the 'monster'.
"Wha-what is that!?" Milo asked, his hand going momentarily to the pistol he carried. Otis's hand was on his own, though it shoke considerably more.

Fillup and the others looked around the main area of the building, noticing an open door here and there "They must have moved on..." Sarg puffed on his cigar still, a nausiating smell coming from it.
Fillup waved a hand in front of his face and spoke into the comm "Kimmi, Kay, Milo, Otis, where are you?" he asked, somewhat worridly. The scream, the moan, all of it was severly nerve-wracking. He was glad he chewed gum, otherwise he'd probably have gone insane.
