[Sorry bout the wait. Band kills all my free time >.<
But I dissipated the smoke with my last move *cough*]
Smirking as he could see the arrow flying at him since the smoke had dissipated, Asuma's right hand went out, making a line towards his sword, that was still planted in the tree. He had a quick plan. "Sho!" Reiatsu flying from his hand, Asuma was propelled sideways, spinning on the ground as the arrow flew past him. His right hand flying out again, Asuma pointed it at his sword, gathering reiatsu once more. "Hainawa!" A red rope flying from his hand, it made a beeline towards his sword, wrapping around it's white hilt, and then pulling as Asuma's hand went backwards. Catching his sword as it flew to him, Asuma planted both his feet, bending his knees and then jumping forward at Kasen as soon as his sword was in his hand. Since he didn't have a zanpaktou, stopping one would be hard. Flying forward, Asuma's sword flew down, trying to slice Kasen in half.

Asuma didn't know something Kasen knew as he would soon learn. Kasen grabbed down as his waist and pulled out a blade that he soon brought up using both hands to counter the falling blade. This blade was different as it was a pure blade and not a zanpakuto, gladly made by Kiba. "I told you, I wasn't going easy on you! BakudÅ #9, Geki!" A red light transferred from Kasen's blade to around Asuma which should be able to paralyze at him. Kasen then began transferring reiatsu in his left hand as he tried to kick upward with his right leg to kick Asuma away.

Pushing his own blade against Kasen's, Asuma just let out a soft laugh. "Looks like it to me. Sho." Reiatsu bursting from his blade, the quick burst of reiatsu and wind pushed back the red haze, one of the very few spells that could be avoided so easily. Since it was a slow moving red haze, as long as you could blow the kido away, it was useless. Moving with Kasen's kick, Asuma gathered his reiatsu into his side, quickly making a thin coating of metal beneath his clothes, as he was kicked and pushed upwards. Spinning in mid-air, Asuma let his blade fly to the ground, as he landed. His own blade stabbed into the ground between himself and Kasen, as Asuma just looked forward.
"If you refuse to use your blade, so will I." Moving his right arm out, Asuma gathered his reiatsu in his arm, making a blade that came from his wrist to his elbow, a simple blade pointing out, like a scythe blade along his arm, but then connecting around his arm. If Kasen was going to us a weapon other than his zanpaktou, Asuma would do the same.
"Your move."

Kasen grinned and threw his second blade into his sheath and threw it away next to his zanpakuto. "Kasen...." The shinigami did not say his name, but a different name as the reiatsu that gathered in his hand became a burning red flame that began to expand and rise in size. The attack was a reflection of his zanpakuto's spiritual power, as it was a special attack granted by Sasori. "Behold, Kasen the Flame Arrow." He said as the flame became an arrow that was in the same shape as the arrow before, but was glowing red and was continue to grow in size. The arrow was reiatsu manipulation and he extended it to the form of a spear. Kasen sighed and simply didn't like the weapon due to one weakness, he had no experience with pole-arm weaponry. Kasen then decided it would have to do as he began spinning the spear creating red circles in the air. "Let's rock."
Kasen ran forward and use the spear first as a extending pole which he used to strike the ground and gain air as he brought the spear around his head and pointed it downward at Asuma.

Simply standing there, Asuma moved his right arm up, reiatsu flaring through his arm. "If you won't come here, I'll make you." Reiatsu shooting from his fingers in the form of crimson wires, Asuma manipulated the thin wires to shoot into the air, seemingly aimed at Kasen. Though, as they came close, they did a quick turn, going around him instead of towards him. Quickly coming beside him, Asuma just smirked. "Shakkaho." As quickly as the wires were made, they exploded, causing a large cloud of smoke to form around where the wires had exploded. Using all the force and focusing it on the one area in the middle-Kasen-Asuma hoped that it had landed. If it did, it wouldn't be pretty, to say the least.

The explosion hit, however something had imploded inside before being hit by the explosion itself. Kasen appeared out of a cloud of smoke, however his spear was now gone leaving the flaming point and half the length of the original pole remaining, making it an arrow once more. "Hado #4, Byakurai!" Kasen said bursting lightning from his fingertips at Asuma as Kasen threw the arrow to create a shocking explosion if landed.

Moving his right arm upwards, Asuma's hand glowed with crimson energy, as a red orb gathered in front of his palm. Closing his eyes, Asuma reached inside himself, going to where he knew his zanpaktou would reside. While he hadn't yet learned the spirit's name, he still knew what he could do. Whatever your name is...whatever you are...lend me your power. Quickly opening his eyes, the red orb was suddenly filled with a black liquid-like substance in the middle of the orb. Quickly firing it forward, the orb quickly met with the two energies fired at him, exploding in a wide explosion of reiatsu. Panting slightly, Asuma's right hand flew outwards towards his zanpaktou, without even using a hainawa to shoot at the sword. Controlling the metal of his own blade was easy, but he just had to get the grasp of it first. The sword quickly started to shake, as it flew from the ground, flipping as it went towards Asuma, catching it in his right hand. Holding the blade backwards, Asuma held it in front of him, in a defensive stance.
"Stop with the tricks. Get serious and fight me."

Kasen landed and shunpo to his blades and picked them up and replaced them on his waist once more as he looked at the blade of Asuma return to its master. Thoughts were rushing in his head ,"That's impossible, to call one's blade and use an ability...." Kasen then pointed his blade at Asuma and asked ,"Serious, the word is meaningless without any force, or meaning. What do you want me to do, release my shikai, use shunpo, do everything you can't! Then let me show you!" Kasen shouted as he placed the sheath by his waist and he ran at Asuma and leaned downward as he kept the pace of his feet at Asuma, and in a breath he swung at his legs. "Tell me older one!"

Snarling, Asuma stabbed his blade downwards, the end of the blade hitting against the ground. Since it was unable to stab unless enough force was used in it, Asuma's blade was able to stop Kasen's own, as the two blade scraped against each other, causing sparks to fly where they touched. "Fight me as an equal, not like someone lower than you. Lesson number one, never underestimate your opponent, even if he doesn't have all the abilities you do." Giving Kasen a cold look, Asuma opened his mouth wide. Reiatsu formed a tight ball inside his jaws, just like a Cero would for a Hollow. Instead, however, this was going to be a kido. "SHAKKAHO!" Unable to move his mouth much to say the name of the kido, the word came out halfway, just as the kido fired at point blank range, exploding after it got a few inches from Asuma's face. Blown backwards, Asuma flipped in the air, landing on the branch of a tree. Over the front of his body, pieces of metal were placed, to try and absorb enough of the kido to only knock him back. It was a close explosion, though, so Asuma was only able to block some of the power. Burn on his face and upper body, Asuma panted, holding his blade even tighter in his hand now. "Come out...come out and fight me as an equal."

Kyo watched the fight closely, He was intrigued by Asuma's tactics and abilities considering his handicap. He had known better than to underestimate him and was glad he hadnt, he could tell Asuma was a fierce warrior and would continue to fight Kasen until he was utterly defeated, if not dead.

Kasen grinned and smiled, for that was the resolve he was looking for from the former legend. "Then let the true begin!" He said as he jumped back and clashed with the kido creating a large explosion of flames. His clothing in his upper body was burned down to his upper torso now a ragged jacket like form. "Sting and Blaze, Kaosu Sasori!" Reiatsu surrounded Kasen as a burst of black and red reiatsu warped around his body and blades that he suddenly jammed together at the hilts. The reaitsu surrounded him until he swished it away with now dual-bladed zanpakuto in his hands. One side had the kanji for darkness, the other had the kanji for flames, both were held by a single hilt and both curved in opposite directions. "Let's begin." He said as he brought his hand back and summoned 4 flaming arrows that he fired quickly sending the piercing flames at Asuma.

Concentrating his reiatsu on his hilt, Asuma made a quick circle on the edge of his hilt, putting his middle finger through it and spinning the blade, bringing it in front of him. Just like his old blade that could spin like a saw, while this one wasn't able to cut as well, it could still block if used correctly. As the arrows flew at him, all four hit against the blade as it spun, deflected onto the trees and ground around him, igniting the trees and scorching the ground. Slowing the spinning, Asuma quickly let go of the blade, catching the hilt once again in his hand, the metal circle disappearing from the end of the hilt. "The same moves won't work twice on me." Blasting forward, Asuma flew at Kasen, his right arm behind him, pointing his clenched hand behind him, Asuma grinned. "Sho." Reiatsu blasting from his fist, Asuma was thrown forward, the final few feet between him and Kasen quickly closed, Asuma spinning as he went past Kasen, aiming a slice at his chest. But...there was something else.
"Tsumenoza Kurohyou."
Blasting reiatsu through his arm, Asuma ha made three quick and powerful slashes, even faster than the regular move it was derived from, Oto Ken. The slashes seemed to happen all at once, and if you missed seeing the slashes, they were bound to hit. There was a drawback to it's speed, though. Landing on the ground, Asuma slid along the ground, quickly turning around, his jaw clenching. His arm was screaming in pain now. It was the second time he had used that move now, the first being on the boulder when he first tried it. Dammit. One more at best, if that. Hopefully it ha landed, though. A few more minutes was all Asuma had left with the amount of reiatsu he had left.

Kasen watched Asuma come closer with even a kido giving him a push. Suddenly an attack's name was heard as he saw the arrow's disappearing into tree's and now three slashes were coming at him. Kasen brought the dark blade up and struck the attack, but it was pushed away as he was slashing and felt blood gushing out and brought the blade back to take the impact of the last attack. Kasen coughed up blood as he was beginning to not feel well, so he had to finish this quick. Kasen shunpo upward and was now at least a few stories up. Kasen held the blades out and spun quickly gathering flaming reiatsu around to create his attack.

Spinning his blade in his hand, Asuma held the blade backwards once more, putting it in front of him in a defensive stance. One arm...barely any reiatsu left...no shikai or shunpo...at least it'll be interesting to see how I'll get outa this one His reiatsu once again rising, Asuma was covered in a crimson aura, his blade shining brightly in the sunlight. Looking forward, Asuma's eyes seemed to turn more cat-like, as he watched Kasen's movements from below, readying himself. Whatever Kasen was planning on doing, it was going to be impossible for Asuma to escape it without shunpo, or at least be fast enough to trap him. He would need to give it everything he had if he was going to get out of it. He would find a way.
"Bring it."
