"About time you showed up, I was wondering if I was going to have to drag him back myself" Azurai said, flipping upside down out of a tree near Sin and Zaid "Sorry for not showing myself sooner, but I thought it was best you two took care of things yourselves" The Sandelf said before coming out of the tree and crouching slightly upon his landing "Sorry I haven't been around, but I knew Mr. Tall Dark and steely would rather have my head on a plater then on my shoulders...besides I hate this town...can't exactly like the place were you got arrested for the first time in a decades" Azurai said before sneezing loudly "Gah, I miss the desert" He muttered before standing up "Here, take this" He said, pulling a wool cloak out from the tree and putting it around Sintariun's shoulders, before tossing another on Zaid "You'll need those, least till you get to the temple, you may want to dress light under all your gear, else wise the heat'll kill you" The rogue said before sneezing again and walking off into the snow "See you back at the Inn" He called back, waving slightly.
back at the Inn, a pile of books suddenly moved in the lobby. After a moment, a hand shot out, clearing away the rest of the books, to reveal a half asleep Falon, the pages of a book half imprinted on his left cheek. He let out a yawn, acting like this was actually quite normal for him.
Ramiel yawned slightly as he walked through a door behind the Inn counter. Why he'd been back there was anyones guess. He scratched his head slightly before swinging himself over the counter "Alright, we're going to retrieve the fire orb today, so dress light underneath your cloaks cause we're walking into a live volcano....oh, and I should probably tel you, we've got 7 hours until the Volcano erupts and we all get fried, unless we remove the orb that is" Ramiel said, sounding rather casual about all this.
((Heh, sorry Dark, your a wee bit late unfortunately, congrats on the apartment though))

Zaid spun on his heel hearing out both Sin and Azurai. All of a sudden, he felt a cloak over top of him. Glancing at his ward and then the rogue, the male elf sighed. When Azurai tried to walk away it took every ounce of restraint from Zaid to not attack him but instead grabbed the back of the elf's neck and pulling him back. "You're coming with us, you'll worry Sin if you don't." Zaid waited for Azurai's response and looked over his shoulder to see Sin wrapped up in the cloak and mounting Damon.
Sintariun petted Damon on the head and hugged him. "Thank you." Looking to the two guys, the elf maiden waited patiently knowing something was going on and that she shouldn't interfere.

Although Damon was rather impassive by nature, he had to try and maintain it when Azurai appeared. He couldn't forget what the Sandelf had done in the Springs earlier. Anyone who violated any type of woman in any way was on his black list. A deep rumble came from within him which wasn't particularly friendly. "Make sure you are as close to my head as possible, and that your friend Zaid is behind you." He muttered to the girl, making sure it couldn't be heard by the other two elves. "This might be interesting." He grinned, showing his teeth uncharacteristically.
Asteria knew exactly what Damon was planning on doing. Before the other two could mount him, she flew over and landed on his muzzle. Ignoring his objections, she dug her talons into his nose as a warning. Whatever you think you're going to do, she advised, using their mind link so that no one else could hear. Don't. She watched as Damon chuckled, fully aware that he wouldn't heed her words. Fine she sighed, But don't come to me when your actions have consequences. With that, she took off in the direction of the Inn, hoping he wouldn't get too out of hand.

Seirei had been trying to understand the conversation taking place next to him, though his inability to speak elven wasn't exactly making that easy. When she ran off he had a vague understanding of what was going but he didn't really comment on it. Seirei had lifted his head, his embarrassment finally passed and he noticed that Liah was sitting by herself now. He was about to head over to her, in fact he was just turning when Ramiel announced where they would be going.
"Vol...ca...no..." his voice said with a quiver, a distinct fear in his voice. A forest of undead was nothing, was nothing new to him but a place filled with such destructive power, a force he was easily susceptible to, not the greatest of plans. He leaned against the wall and slid down to his knees and then sat on his ankles, staring off into space as he thought about all the ways he could easily die there. He was string towards Liah but his mind was elsewhere.

Liah had watched as Damon carried Sintariun away into the snow covered forest. She knew why he was doing it and it warmed her heart to see her friend communicating his true self to other humans, or elves, rather. As she stared off into space, she noticed a movement and a small noise close by. She turned and realized it was Seirei. He didn't look well. His posture and the expression on his face told her he was dismayed.
"Seirei?" She said softly, getting up and walking over to him. She knelt in front of him, waving a hand in front of his face as he stared. Her concerned expression grew more worried when she realized he was spacing out. "Seirei, what's wrong?"

With the sound of her voice Seirei zoned back into the real world, still scared at what awaited them. "Yeah?" he said in response, still somewhat dazed by the fear and not quite back to his self yet. He blinked a few times, seeing that Liah was rather close and her hand was near his face. He realized what he'd been doing and what she'd been doing because of that.
"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to worry you," he said, his voice only quivering ever so slightly as he spoke. He was glad she was here though, having her nearby was nice. He tried to regain some composure, brought his arms in front of him instead of limp by his sides and leaned forward slightly instead of slumped against the wall. "Sleep well?" he asked, not wanting her to worry about him too much. He'd be at great risk where they were going and she'd probably find out anyway. Well... maybe I should just tell her then... he thought, not sure whether he wanted to or not.

Liah saw past Seirei's attempts at hiding his distress. She shifted herself so that she was next to him and she sat down. If the night before hadn't happened, she would have made sure there was some distance between them, but Liah felt much closer to him than she had before and she sat so that their sides were touching. "I slept fine." Her voice was kind and somewhat soothing. Being a beast master made her more sensitive to other peoples moods. Once, she had been told that her voice even had a calming affect, as if the animal inside humans was touched in some way by her power. However, she wasn't sure if she believed that.
"There's something on your mind." She continued, "Want to talk about it?"

"That's good," he said kindly, pleased to know her sleep was better than not. Her question however, brought his little mental debate to an end. She knew he was thinking about something, probably even knew it was worrying him, so he had no reason not to tell her. He stumbled over his thoughts for a while, trying to find the right word for it. "Well... the things is..." he started, looking at her with a slightly confounded expression on his face.
"I'm... well..." he was getting closer to what he needed to say but he wasn't quite getting it out. His voice stopped working as he tried to finish his sentence, partially from embarrassment and partly out of fear. After that he closed his eyes and leaned forward, resting his head on her shoulder gently and he spoke quietly. "I'm flammable," he said, his voice quiet and, though the fear was present, it was more calm than before, most likely because he was so close to Liah now. It was comforting and he was fairly sure she wouldn't mind.

Liah sat for a moment, thinking. It felt nice to have Seirei's head on her shoulder, the contact was welcomed. But, she was also concerned about how distressed he was. Going into a Volcano and being flammable wasn't exactly the easiest thing. "It'll be ok." She soothed as she leaned her head lightly on his. This show of affection was very new to her, but somehow it felt right to be doing it. "I'll be there with you." Her voice was soft; no one else would be able to hear their conversation. "I promise I won't leave you alone." She wasn't sure how comforting that fact would be, but at least it meant that she could help him fight without him having to phase and risk spontaneously combusting.

"Its sweet to hear she'd be worried about me, but I'm the last guy anyone needs to worry about. I may have lost an eye, and carry these around " He said holding up his arms in a fashion to show off several deep scars and brands "But I didn't survive all this to get killed off yet...heck I managed to live in an undead forest for 10 years....." He said before looking away "Alright so my sense of direction isn't the best in most locations..."He muttered.
He scratched his head "Anyways, no worries, besides I'm heading to the same place you are. Ole Fire Tongue wants me to take care of locks and keep an eye out for any none fire related traps"He said, speaking of this person as if they were old friends. Suddenly Azurai laughed slightly "Sorry, suppose you wouldn't know any of his other names, anyways Ramiel's dragged me into the group the second he knew I was around. I've been hear since you got to the village, though I guess you didn't recognize me as a 75 year old gypsy women" He said with a wink and a broad grin.
"A volcano! Eeeh gads no! Think of my books!" Falon exclaimed, more to himself then anyone else. He really did seem to love his books. He then suddenly developed an after thought "Not to mention I'd be useless in a place like that. I specialize in plants and herbs, few of which would last long in that heat...accept maybe fire weed, but I can't imagine that'll be much help against anything we find in there" Falon still seemed to be mostly talking to himself before he began to mutter to himself, jotting things down in a book like he was doing calculations.
Ramiel sighed slightly, placing his hand to his forehead, eventually moving it up to brush his hair back with his fingers "Well if there are no further objections I'd like to get going, before the town and surrounding area go up in flames. I'm betting not a lot of you can survive the temperature of boiling lava, well accept maybe Mr.Secretive depending on what type he is...and don't think you can hide it from everyone, I can smell it on you, and everyone that knows the scent of your kind can probably do the same" The chimera said before heading to the door and leaning on it slightly "When your all actually ready for a trip inside the Volcano form a line here in front of me."

Sintariun patted Damon on the nose seeing some of the talon marks on it and whispered something so they would heal over. Glancing at the two men, Sintariun watched as they spoke, seeing the tension as well as protection Zaid held and Azurai's carefree attitude.
Managing to hear the conversation in pieces, the elven maiden decided to take the situation in her own hands. "Azurai," she said softly to get his attention. Extending her hand to the rogue it was meant as a gesture of welcome and forgiveness for what happened at the inn. "Come with us, please. You say you are going to the same place we are, we might miss the group you'll have to be our guide."
Zaid glanced at Sin and heard her words understanding them and then looked to Azurai and released the back of the elf's neck but didn't move, waiting for Azurai to make his decision.

"A volcano in this freezing place? Wierd." Zen said to himself as he listened to Ramiel. So we have seven hours to reach the volcano, find the orb, fight whatever monsters are there, because I know there will be some, and get the orb before the thing erupts and we all burn. Seems simple enough. he thought. "Well," he said as he stood up to go get in line for the trip to the volcano, "I'm ready for a field trip. Never been inside a live volcano before. Should be a warm experience." he said. He already had everything he needed with him.

His fearful expression softened to a more comfortable one as she spoke to him. She may not realize how much those words meant to someone like him. He wasn't exactly a very welcomed species and his presence normally scared people away or had them come after him with exorcists to try to get rid of him. Affection was new to him so her words really helped.
"Thanks," he said in a voice just above a whisper. As he was lifting his head from her shoulder he rubbed his head against hers in a somewhat playful way. He leaned back a bit, so he could see her face but he couldn't quite see her eyes. He nuzzled his nose against her cheek gently, clearly not playful like he'd been just moments ago. "That means a lot to me," he breathed to her before leaning back a little more to see her expression.

"A volcano? Should have guessed that was coming." Tori muttered, placing her feet back on the ground and pushing herself up. She was pretty excited to get going, having never even seen a volcano before let alone been in one. "Why are we getting in a line?" Tori asked as she walked over to join the line.

"Hmm...I suppose you have a point there Sin, alright I'll come...oh, and sorry about yesterday. I sorta fell off the roof, things a fair bit icier then it was 10 years ago" He said, rubbing the back of his neck, more do to a kink he'd had since his fall then from Zaid grabbing him by the back of it. "Anyways I suggest we get going before they really do leave without us"
Falon sighed slightly "Well at least it'll be warm..." He muttered before grabbing his bag of books, getting into the line as he continued to jot things down in a red covered book, the front marked with a blazing emblem of fire.
"Just making sure I know who's actually continuing on our little venture. If you haven't noticed some of the original group have gone missing since we first began this little journey...besides, I want to see which one of you looks like the most likely one to burst into flames" He said, smirking slightly afterwards. Was that a joke? A joke from a the mouth of Ramiel!?
