"They just really want to see a gym leader's daughter in action," Keegan whispered to Kasiya as they walked, giving her hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze. It really wasn't a lie, he just couldn't tell her the real reason behind them tagging along. A few times he looked back to make sure they were still following them, and each time he made eye contact his mother would smile, wave and giggle like a schoolgirl while his father remained stoic and expressionless.
The walk to the gym was rather short, although even after he heard Kasiya's exclamation he didn't really clue in until he spotted Mike. Oh, this is awesome, he thought, rolling his eyes. "Mike, Flannery," he stated simply, nodding at each of them. "Lovely day." Helios twitched an ear in confusion, wondering why his trainer had gone from perfectly cheerful to rather gloomy in a matter of moments.
"Flannery! Mike! You two are looking rather well!" Maggie exclaimed quite happily, first hugging Flannery and then Mike in succession. It seemed that whatever fallout the boys may have had in the past were unknown to her, and she still continued to treat him like nothing had changed.
"Maggie, dear, they probably would like to get started soon," Todd spoke up, acknowledging Mike and Flannery with a nod. It seemed he sensed something was up but wasn't about to bring it up now. He took his wife gently by the arm and lead her over to the bleachers, casting a long glance at their son before the two took their seats.
Keegan watched them for a moment before sighing and taking Kasiya by the elbow. "Go get her, eh? Show her what my Kanto girl is made of." He kissed her then, adopting Kasiya's attitude of not caring what anyone else around thought, regardless of who they were, before going to find a seat in the stands. ===== Roxanne's lips were set in a tight line as she saw the Beldum materialize in front of her, and it took her a moment or two to figure out why it looked different - Beldum were normally a steely blue colour and this one was silver. It was of little consequence though, and she thought for a moment that perhaps she'd given this trainer too much credit as she watched it fly towards her Geodude. There was little it could do to even scratch her rock-hard Pokemon.
"Geodude, use Defense Curl," she told it quickly. The rock type was quick to curl its powerful arms around its body, concealing as many weak spots as it could in order to boost its defense. The boost couldn't have come any sooner though as a second later, the Beldum slammed into it, causing the loud ringing of steel hitting rock to echo through the gym. Roxanne grit her teeth and sighed. She hated that noise. "Counter it with Rock Smash," she stated simply. Geodude uncurled from its ball-like state and raised one of its rocky fists high in the air, bringing it down quickly while Beldum was still close.

Look for the rainbow in every storm. Find out for certain, love's gonna be there for you. You'll always be someone's baby. Goodbye, my friend. I know you're gone, you said you're gone, but I can still feel you here. It's not the end. You gotta keep it strong before the pain turns into fear...
The song continued to play through Whitney's small headphones, which sat comfortably on her ears. The Gym Leader's eyes were closed as she rested up against her seat on the train. She couldn't block out the visions of what had happened on that fateful day, not so very long ago. All of the memories plagued her like a virus ever since she departed Viridian City. She could still see the shock and anger on everyone's faces when Raimundo revealed his true intentions. She saw Maorde escaping on his Salamence after Anna transformed into Alakazam, unleashing a fraction of its pure, unadulterated, evil power. And she saw the hurt on Nina's face, in her eyes, in her tears.
Whitney had been searching nearly twenty-four hours a day since she promised her sister that she would recover her stolen Pokemon. She slept only to prevent herself from collapsing of exhaustion, and only for about an hour or so at a time. She would then resume her search, and she had since combed over every town and city in Kanto, yielding no results whatsoever. She was now bound toward Hoenn, to try her luck there. The train ride was quite long, but she didn't mind-- she was able to sleep longer on the train than she did in the recent days.
One thought that hadn't crossed the girl's mind was what exactly she would do if she happened to come across Anna or Maorde, or even Raimundo for that matter. She expected the former two to be with one another, as Anna was now a reborn version of Maorde's most powerful Pokemon. Maybe Whitney was just expecting everything to go smoothly. She could say something like, "Anna, I'm taking you back to Nina now. Let's go. Maorde, stop wreaking havoc. Raimundo, stuff yourself into a sack and bury yourself in a ditch." There was a brief pause; she snorted a little. Yeah right, she thought, as if that would ever work. Keep dreaming, Whit.
She could act the part of the brave sister all that she wanted, but in reality, Whitney needed help if she was to accomplish her goal. She knew it, too. But, she had no idea where anyone was at the moment-- where was Mike? Where was Kilik? What about that Kasiya girl? Did any of them have a friend or two that could lend a hand? Would this problem ever be solved? What if she couldn't--
"No!" Whitney hollered aloud, her eyes snapping open. The sudden and sharp tone of her voice startled the hell out of her, along with the nearby passengers. Embarrassed, as people were now staring at her and throwing her odd facial expressions, she slinked down against her seat, looking out the window to hide her face from the others.
I can't think about failure, she thought. That is not even an option to be considered. I'm totally setting my mind to this, and I will not rest until I get Anna back. There was a pause in Whitney's train of thought. ...Actually. Sleep wouldn't hurt me, I suppose. I can't achieve that feat if I can't keep my eyes open... Heh. But, first and foremost, I must find allies. That's gotta be what I do first.
Closing her eyes, a new song was playing through her headphones. Whitney adjusted herself so she was comfortable, and waited for glorious sleep to come to her.

"Lairon, use another Take Down. Finish Tangela off!" He swiped the air with his arm and laughed triumphantly. It seemed his prediction would come to fruition. Kilik stuffed his hands into his pockets and closed his eyes. He didn't even want to watch the victory that would come to him. The smirk never left his lips. The iron beast began to charge forward to his foe. The small blue creature was right in front of him, and it was impossible for him to miss. This fight was over before he even really got warmed up. Way to go, Kilik. Why would his trainer put him against such a subpar opponent? Lairon lowered his head and crashed right into Tangela.
Once more, the vines went flying as Tangela went careening through the air. Rebecca sighed and recalled her Pokemon before it crashed into the building a second time. She growled and turned her head at Kilik. Her eyes were almost on fire and her teeth were grit tightly together. "You jerk!" she snapped, "Let's see how you stand up to this!" Rebecca let loose another Pokemon. It was covered in hair, a native to the Kanto region. Its hands were just boxing gloves and its feet seemed to have busted shackles around its ankles. "Primeape!" she barked, "Ready to go?" The ape screeched and pounded his chest.
"We'll see! The counter's been reset! Here goes the second round!"

George righted himself and gave a look at the Geodude that was looking a little ticked off that the little pokemon was able to land an attack. It shook it’s arm and growled once again.
“Tackle the little sucker. Don’t let him think he’s gotten you.” The other trainer yelled out. The Geodude pulled it’s arms in and went flying at the Mudkip.
“Get out of the way George!” Sere yelled. George watched as the rock pokemon came barreling at him and in the last possible minute tumbled out of the way. “Woo! Okay now use your mud-slap!”
The Mudkip watched as the Geodude tried to get it’s self back into position, and just as it turned around George flung a well aimed ball of earth at it. The attack seemed to knock the Geodude right to the ground creating a cloud of dust around himself from the impact. George was cautious though, he didn’t want to think that this battle was going to be so easy. Sure enough the rock pokemon leapt from the dust and landed a tackle on the ground type. George was able to sit himself back up with little to no problems. He wish he didn’t have the better sense to not mock the fellow pokemon but he did think the attack was rather week.

“Alright George, he’s rather week you could finish him off with a bite I believe.” Sere said. George gave a quick nod to his trainer and then lunged again at the Geodude. He had to give the rock credit, he wasn’t going to be as easily faked out this time around. The rock moved to the other side but, George was quicker and landed another bit on the other arm. He didn’t let go this time until the rock stopped moving completely and the two were on the ground. When George backed away he really did hope that there wasn’t any permanent damage done to the pokemon.
“Well done George.” Sere said when the Mudkip returned to her side. She patted him on the head and watched as the other trainer recalled his pokemon.
“Well done to you both.” The boy said. He looked sad but not upset which let Serenity breathe a bit easier. “You guys were really good.”
Sere blushed when he said that. “That’s not entirely true. We had type advantage. Your geodude seemed to be just as well trained.” She nodded. She had to think about each word before she said it so that they didn’t all run together and create a sentence that her new friend wouldn’t understand.
He smiled at her. “You’re a bit of a shy one aren’t you? Ah no matter on the battle anyway. I’ll get more and we’ll meet again.”
“I hope so, although I’m leaving this region soon.” She said. “Heading over to the new one for my family.”
The boy came up to her and handed her a piece of paper. “My number then. In case you want a rematch when you get back.” She took it from him and smiled when she saw that his name was George.
“I’m Serenity.” She said. “I’ll give you a call when we both get more training in. I’m sure we wont be gone for too, too long.”
He took her hand and kissed it softly. She was sure her face was now a bright red. “Not a problem. Train well Serenity.” He rushed back into the bushes.
Serenity looked down at her George who was staring off after the trainer that had just disappeared. “Well that was interesting.” The mudkip looked up at her and she could see the few scratches that he had on his body from where the geodude actually managed to hit. “Are you going to be okay to make it to the next town? It shouldn’t be too far. If not I can put you back in the ball and let you out as soon as we get to a poke-center.” The mudkip thought for a moment then started bouncing up and down. He didn’t feel as though he needed to be sent to his room just yet. He was sure he could make it to the center with no other problems. Or he hoped anyway.

"Huh..." Kasiya murmured quietly to herself, watching the two boys interact, if one could call that. She frowned, remembering last time they'd seen each other they'd stormed off in opposite directions for no reason Kasiya could figure out. She shrugged though and nodded to Flannery. "Yeah, I think I'm ready."
She was glad Keegan had taken her aside to wish her luck, and for a moment she almost didn't want to let him go. "Don't worry, I'll give 'em all a show," she told him, winking as she made her way to the challenger's box. She wasn't quite sure if Flannery's strategy would be the same as yesterday's or not, but either way she was read. I wonder if Levi could handle her Slugma, she thought, lightly touching the Marshtomp's Pokeball. It wouldn't hurt to give her a try, as she always had Seto and Casimir for backup. "Whenever you're ready," she called out to her friend, giving her hands a shake to loosen up her fingers. The familiar feeling of pre-battle adrenalin surged through her veins and her nervous butterflies all but vanished. She was ready.
Flannery watched her two childhood friends exchange a quick passing glance and sighed. She recalled all her own Pokemon, with the exception of Houndoom and waited for the rest of the trainers to clear the area. Her mind kept going back to Mike and Keegan though, and she shook her head. Whatever their problems were with each other they certainly didn't go about hiding it, and she silently wondered if they would ever be friends again. "Yeah, give me a sec," she called out to Kasiya, having almost forgotten why they were here. Smiling, she turned to Mike. "Well dearest, I've got to get to work. She's not getting my badge that easily," she said playfully, gently prodding him in the chest with a slender finger. She looked over Mike's shoulder at Keegan before looking back to her love once more. "And play nice. If you two so much as glare at each other I'll have Houndoom tear you both a new one, got it?" She'd raised her voice so that it was loud enough for Keegan to hear as well, letting him know that she wasn't about to tolerate any sort of nonsense from either of them.
After giving Mike one last little kiss (for now), she made her way over to her end of the battlefield and looked up at the scoreboard on the wall. It lit up after a moment or two, showing Flannery's picture on the red side, and Kasiya's on the blue. After the referee had taken position, she gestured to the younger girl. "Okay, remember the spiel from last night? Well it's the same thing. This Heat Badge will only be yours if you can beat me." She cleared her throat and took a Pokeball from her belt. "Three on three, no healing items, no time limit." The ref raised both flags, signaling the start of the battle. "And to lead off, I choose you, Megu!" The small, fiery slug reappeared on the ground, looking a bit confused as to why he had been called out again so soon. He spied the blonde girl opposite him then, and nodded. Another day, another challenger!
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan winced as Beldum slammed up against the hardy Geodude, the sound ringing out throughout the gym. When the Geodude raised its arm for a counterattack, Jaeshan called out for Beldum to get out of the way, but the Steel-type wasn't fast enough and took a rough blow to the side of its body. The force of it sent Beldum spinning back a few feet, and it took a moment to stabilize itself. This isn't going to work, Jaeshan thought, figuring that if he ordered Beldum to attack again, Roxanne would probably just follow up with the same type of counterstrike. He scratched his chin and glanced at Ryka. "Beldum, stay on the defensive," he told the Pokemon. "Try to avoid whatever Geodude throws at you." With any luck, maybe they could get the floating lump of rock to tire itself out a bit.
Liking this new strategy, Beldum hovered up a little higher in the air, keeping its only eye fixed on its opponent below and hoping it would be able to predict what it might do next.

"A Kecleon, huh," M.A. murmured to herself, rummaging in her backpack for a second before producing her orange PokeNav+Dex. The screen flickered on, showing an image of said Pokemon. 'KECLEON is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings. There is one exception - this POKéMON can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly.," the Pokedex said, although Sae must have tinkered with it 'cause the voice was no longer monotone. Instead, it sang with a heavy unidentifiable accent (if Asia existed in this world, it would be categorized under that ethnicity). M.A. gasped, not sure whether that was offensive or not... but she couldn't suppress a little laugh anyways.
It turned out her Pokedex had been turned up to obnoxiously loud levels, too, for Yumi heard and giggled. "Nice tunes," she said, cocking her head to one side with a wide smile. The Kecleon blinked. Battles he'd seen before usually didn't stop to have both sides chortle over something... Silly girls, the Pokemon thought, shrugging. "Oh! But let's keep going, yes?" To which the Kecleon sighed audibly. He just wanted to sleep.
"Yeah," M.A. smiled. She noted that Ulani was tiring, so -- "Sing, 'Lani!" The bird opened its beak and let loose a thrilling little melody that softened into a lullaby.
See? Someone besides himself wanted himself to sleep, the Kecleon figured. But it seemed Miss Yumi behind him requested otherwise; she'd better give him some more of those crackers later, that's for sure. With amazing suddenness, the Kecleon spit out its tongue, which flew forward like a rubber band suddenly let go. It flew right past Ulani, too, to M.A.'s surprise, but suddenly curled around and wrapped Ulani up in a little cocoon.
Poor Ulani was muted in this manner. She tried to whimper, but no sound could come with this guy's nasty tongue all over her! Ew ew ew. "'Lani, try to get out of there!" M.A. called urgently. "Fury Attack!"
But with the little bird more than half encompassed by the Kecleon's impossibly long tongue, her movement was severely limited and the attack hardly dealt any damage. The Kecleon lazily wrapped his tongue tighter, soothing the discomfort of the bird's jabs by applying pressure to it.
"Ah, that's enough, 'Lani," M.A. said. The Swablu gave her a grateful eye (since the other eye was being smothered at the moment). She didn't like this position at all! And she was getting pretty tired too. "Return!"
The Kecleon was a bit surprised when his quarry disappeared from his grip and reluctantly re-rolled his tongue back in. Ah well then. He looked back at his trainer, clearly expressing his intent to stop battling now. But Yumi shook her head with a broad grin. "Oh, c'mon, Kecky! You just got started!" To this, the Swap Color Pokemon gave a loooong sigh.
"Next up is you, Tora!" The Long Nose Pokemon materialized onto the scene, stamping her feet eagerly. Hurrah, a battle! She eagerly looked at her opponent, who ... well, had the exact opposite opinion of battling in general. "Why not start if off with somethin' hard! Take down!" One of her favorite attacks! Tora grinned as she charged forwards.

Keegan's eyes went wide when Flannery practically yelled at both him and Mike, and he nodded quickly. If Flannery yelled at you it was probably best to listen to her. Not only that, but the sight of her Houndoom alone was enough to make his arm feel as though it were on fire again. He rubbed at the area gently as though hoping he could make the pain go away just with that simple action. He glanced at Mike once again, this time taking note of the Magby at his side. He always did want one of those, he thought, suddenly wishing for a chance to look over the baby. Perhaps he was more of a Pokemon Breeder than he liked to admit, as he never could resist the chance to study newly-hatched Pokemon. Helios climbed down from his shoulder and took up residence in the seat next to him, looking very eager to witness another match. "Sorry you missed out on the match with Flannery," Keegan told the Vulpix a bit sadly, scratching him behind the ears. "But I'll need you when we take on Norman." He looked up in time to see Flannery send out her Slugma. It was time. ===== Roxanne smiled when she saw her Geodude's attack hit, and she also could sense that this challenger and his Beldum hadn't been together long. She looked to her Pokemon and smiled. She would always remember how she met them all. But now wasn't the time for remembering. "Geodude, give it your Rock Throw," she shouted, knowing that having the rock use Magnitude would be useless so long as the Beldum was so high up off of the ground.
Giving a grunt, Geodude made a fist and punched into a large boulder, causing it to break int much smaller ones. It then grabbed a rock in each hand and hurled them at Beldum, its stony face twisted into a harsh glare.

Mag turned from his position on the hammock to see who was making the fuss. It was obvious from the tone that it was none other than Lenalee. “Eh. What brings you all the way up here?” Mag asked as he sat up. His pokemon all glanced at the two. It was strange how these two got along. Flareon could only wonder how things would develop between these two friends.
“Well I came up here to challenge you to a battle!” Lenalee stated as she pointed at Mag. “I’m heading out on my own after that. I’m not going to wait around here while I can get my own adventure going. So let’s get this started! A two on two double battle.” Lenalee released her Barboach, Cisashwi, to join her Slugma, Cagomarg.
Mag was a bit surprised by the sudden challenge. “Whoa. Um… Okay. Well I guess if that is how you want to depart I’ll be happy to battle you. Shining, Shadow, you guys are up!” The two pokemon nodded and quickly jumped up into the clearing. Lenalee had already moved to the opposite side of the area and was quietly talking to her pokemon. Mag knew that his were of a slightly higher level but Lenalee was resourceful and she wouldn’t go down without a fight. But he couldn’t go easy on her just because she was his friend.
“Okay guys. Those two are a bit higher level than you. But I need you two to work as a team. We need to show Mag that we can take care of ourselves and that he doesn’t have to worry about us all the time. Okay Slugma, you’re going to be the defensive one and keep hitting them with status conditions through Yawn. Cisashwi, you’ll be the offensive side and keep up the pressure with Water Pulse and Surf. Lenalee stood up after quickly hugging her pokemon. “Okay Mag, let’s get things started! Cagomarg, use Yawn on Shining!”

Mike's eyes closed slightly as he got yet another smooch. Boy could he get used to that. "Sure thing love." He replied. "I'll try." As he stepped back to give the gal's some space, Mike caught Keegan's attentive glance out of the corner of his eye. At least he knows a good Pokemon when he sees one. He took an inquisitive look of his own at Keegan's Vulpix. It had a pretty nice coat, not that he was surprised. For a moment as they both surveyed each other's Pokemon the two made eye contact. It was only the briefest of moments, but still. s**t, that means I've got to say something now, doesn't it? Mike sighed lightly, crossing his arms, hoping the tougher pose would somehow make it an easier conversation. Maybe it would scare Keegan into being more friendly? Or something, whatever! He didn't know!
"So," Mike began, tilting his head lightly towards the red head without taking his eyes off the battle. "You and Kasiya huh? Just how did that work out?" Right after adding the imaginary period to the end of the statement, the boy realized it was much more hostile than he meant it to be. After all, he was trying not to be a jerk this time. "Wait. I mean, um..." Mike broke his 'protective' posture and began twirling his hair nervously with his now free right pointer finger. "What I meant was, how did that happen?" Not much better. "Yeah, she's pretty hot. Wait, fu-!" Way to hit on his girlfriend, Casanova. "Ah damn it you know what I mean! How's that working out for you?! Yeah, thats it!" He practically shouted, throwing his arms in the air. He might as well just shut up, seeing as he just royally dissed him and accidentally hit on his girlfriend in a record breaking four seconds. Sheesh, talk about a royal fumble.
The small Magby only looked at his trainer in confusion. He wasn't used to seeing Mike having this much difficulty talking to people. Shrugging it off, Napalm waved happily to the Vulpix, maybe another friend?

Kasiya eyed the Slugma a bit warily; she'd never fought one before. However, she had seen it battle yesterday and she had an idea that it wouldn't be good to touch Megu. Taking a moment she pulled her PokeDex from her pocket and scanned the little slug, wondering why she hadn't bothered to do so before.
"Slugma, the Lava Pokemon. Molten lava courses through this Pokemon's circulatory system instead of blood, carrying vital oxygen and nutrients throughout its body. Because it is made of lava, it must keep in constant motion, or else its body could cool and harden, causing chunks to fall off and reduce its size. Touching this Pokemon can sometimes result in a burn."
"Yep, don't wanna touch it," Kasiya murmured, snapping the device shut and putting it back in her pocket. She didn't think it would have been a problem if Hiro was here, but he wasn't. She hoped the Arcanine was recovering well as she reached for her first Pokeball. We have an advantage here, we can do this, she thought to herself. With a click she enlarged the sphere, giving it one last look before she threw it. With a flash, Leviathan materialized in front of her, whiskers and fins twitching as she took in the situation. Wait, what? What was she doing out here? Kasiya had told her yesterday that she wouldn't be facing Flannery. However, there she was, staring down at that... slug thing. Her eyes narrowed and she let out little growl, ready to show her trainer that she could handle this.
"Go get, 'em Levi! Start off with your Water Gun!" Kasiya shouted. Rearing back, Levi opened her mouth and sprayed a blast of water towards the Slugma. In the back of her mind Kasiya couldn't help but think just how cute the little slug was. Show me what you can do, Levi! she thought.
Flannery watched Mike venture over towards Keegan out of the corner of her eye, and she secretly prayed that she wouldn't have to maim the two later. Upon hearing Kasiya's command for Water Gun her attention snapped back to the battle. Marshtomp. she thought a bit bitterly. Stupid-a** Water-types always ruining my fun! Well try this one on for size! Her inner monologue seemed to go off on a tangent of its own as she looked at Megu. "Megu, throw up a Light Screen!" she commanded, authority in her voice. Megu seemed to be more experienced than Levi, however, and somehow the lava slug was able to comply quickly. Megu's body seemed to give off a bit of extra heat shimmer as a glimmering wall suddenly materialized in front of him, just in time for the Water Gun to strike it. The wall of light didn't block all of the water, however, and the Slugma's body hissed and gave off bits of steam as some water struck it. "While we're on the defensive we might as well stay there! Megu, now use Harden!" Flannery shouted. Megu allowed its body to cool a little, making the outer layer of lava surrounding it a little thicker and tougher to penetrate. "Your move, Kasi," Flannery stated with a grin.
=-=-=-=-= "Watch out, Beldum!" Jaeshan shouted, flinching as the rocks flew towards the Steel-type. Since it had already been preparing to be attacked, Beldum was able to dodge fairly swiftly to the left to avoid the first rock, then upwards to avoid the second, but just barely. The second rock scraped the underside of Beldum's body, and though not very effective it still left a bit of a mark. "Keep it up, Beldum!" Jaeshan shouted. "Just keep dodging!"
The flaw in Jaeshan's plan, however, was that he was expecting only Geodude to get tired, and not Beldum.

Yumi grinned. "Ya know what to do, Kecky!" What an irritating nickname, the Color Swap Pokemon thought to himself, rolling his eyes (both going opposite directions) before suddenly... disappearing. One moment he was there, the next he had blended into the scenery.
Tora didn't have time to stopped. Instead, she continued to charge onwards, stopping with the help of an unfortunate tree. M.A. cringed. That had got to hurt quite a bit. The Long Nose Pokemon, however, managed to shake it off, frowning now. Where had the bugger gone?
"Fury Swipes!" Yumi commanded, reading off her PokeDex since she wasn't too familiar with this guy's attacks yet. Someone had given her his Pokeball, simply saying 'do what you will with him.' People nowadays, who really understood them? The Kecleon suddenly re-materialized out of thin air, gave five hard hits to a stunned Tora, and disappeared again.
At this rate. . . M.A. thought, frowning a little. Wait... Wait! Something was hovering over there. How could she have missed it before! The Kecleon couldn't hide its stripe, the Pokedex had said. Oh, what a silly trainer she had just been. "Tora! Rollout time, girl! Aim for that zig-zag line; pretend it's a can!" The Phanpy scanned for that random red streak, zoning in. Compared to the cans that Sae had placed sporadically on the field, this target was cake! Granted, it was moving, but... simple. The little elephant smashed into it, sending the Kecleon staggering back.
From its surprise, it reverted back to normal colors. "Shake it off, Kecleon, and try not to get hit by that Phanpy! She'll get rougher everytime she does," Yumi said, knowing this attack. "Bind, again!" His tongue shot out, ready to wrap around Tora --
But by then, she was spinning so hard that it was impossible for the Kecleon to get a good grip on 'er, and she landed another, harder blow.
"Ay caramba!" Yumi cried, seeing that her Pokemon couldn't take another one of those. That little elephant had some brutal strength! "Oh! Try a Psybeam!"
In short, 'cause I'm tired of thinking and you're likely tired of reading, the tide of the battle was flipped after that move. Tora was confused, then paralyzed, then recalled in one fell swoop. Daemyn then finished up the Kecleon with some fiery attack, and Yumi sent out her last and final Pokemon, Wobuffet. To be continued.

Once in and out of the Pokemon Center with her newly healed Ivysaur Mitsu wandered about the city. Ebony hadn't seen the light of day in a while, not that a Ghost type would really want to, so Mitsu had sent him out. Of course, as usual, he was clining onto his favorite spot in the world: Mitsu's left shoulder. "I wonder why I named you Ebony. I mean you're clearly purple," Mitsu laughed as the Gengar hissed-laughed along with her. Most people around town found the trickster to be quite creepy and unsightly. Then again Ebony was making odd faces at nearly every person who passed by, Mitsu couldn't really blame them.
"Geng-GAR!" Ebony hissed upong spotting an ice cream cart. "Ice cream? Do you even need to eat Ebony?" Mitsu laughed before buying two cones. A chocolate for Ebony and a mango for Mitsu. Within seconds the ghostly Pokemon had gobbled up his ice cream cone while Mitsu was still licking hers. It was sweet and cold, perfect for a hot, summer day. "Wonder where M.A. went," Mitsu muttered to herself as she wandered aimlessly.

"Mmf!" Whitney exclaimed groggily as the train came to a very sudden stop, thrusting her forward and nearly onto the floor, rousing her from sleeping. How much time had passed? How long was she asleep for? The whistle blew once or twice as the girl rubbed her eyes and yawned, a voice blaring over the loudspeaker. "We have now arrived in Slateport City, Hoenn. All passengers bound for this destination, please depart from the train at this time. Repeating, all passengers bound for Slateport City, we have now arrived. Please depart. Thank you." Getting to her feet and brushing herself off, the Gym Leader gathered up her few belongings and walked down the aisle, exiting the train.
As she stepped out and walked off the platform, the girl looked around at her surroundings, taking in everything that was presented to her. This was Whitney's first visit to Hoenn, so she naturally had no idea where anything was. After a bit of searching around, she located the Pokemon Center, walking through the automatic doors. Approaching the front desk, she was greeted by the nurse, who asked if there was anything she could help her with. "Yes, in fact," Whitney replied. "I'm new to this area. I was wondering, do you by chance have a spare map of the region?" After walking into the back room, Nurse Joy returned a moment or two later, presenting the girl with a folded-up map. "Oh, excellent! Thank you very much." With a quick smile, the Leader turned around and headed back out into the city, pocketing the map. She'd look at it a little later, but for the time being, she wanted to explore the city.
Heading southward, another smile found its way onto the girl's face as she came across the beach. It was astonishingly beautiful, clean, relaxing. Taking her socks and shoes off and putting them into her backpack, she walked through the soft, white sand, eyes closed, feeling at ease for the first time in quite a while. She'd resume searching for Anna shortly, but for now... goodness, she just wanted to enjoy every moment of placidity. The sound of the sea gently crashing was music to her ears, and occasionally she heard the distant cries of Wingull and Pelipper. Whitney never realized how beautiful life could be if one were to look at it in a different light than usual; it could be truly perfect if viewed in the proper perspective. A light chuckle escaped from her lips as a gentle breeze wrapped its loving arms around her.
She wandered about the city, taking in the sights of this fine harbor.

For the third time now Crenu was leaving the gates of his home town, though this time id didn't seem quite as dramatic. He supposed that it had something to do with the fact that he didn't really consider it a home coming anyway, after all he was just passing through to get to Mt. Mortar. Or at least that's what he told himself. Unfortunately it seemed impossible to run through a city you lived in for so long without catching someones attention. Crenu shook his head from the conversation he just had, but he couldn't help remember parts of it anyway.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh my gosh, Crenu! When did you arrive? Hold on right there, I'll be right back." Nurse Joy grabbed Crenu by the coat and pulled him into the center. She ran into the room behind the counter without saying anything else and dissapeared from sight. Her steps could be heard echoing as she ran through some other corridors
Crenu didn't need any explanation, he already knew where Joy was going. Ayane should be in the back around now. She was probably helping out with the pokemon, calming them down and making them feel better about being in the center while their trainers were gone. She always did like to meddle. Crenu thought about turning around and leaving, but he never got a chance to even consider it.
"So....you came back home?" the voice of a girl came from the hall as Nurse Joy wheeled a young girl into view. She just sat in the same spot looking out at the blond haired boy and smiled. Her pink hair came down past her shoulders like always, the green boy in the corner for no apparent reason it seemed. She had remained more or less the same, but the boy was not. He had a new scar on his face and dressed in black, the air around him seemed different...colder even. But to her he was the same.
"Not really, just passing through. I was leaving actually when Joy caught me. Pulled me in by force actually." He spoke softly as he rubbed the back of his neck.
The vein on Nurse Joy's forehead pulsated as she came back around to grab him again. "And a good thing to. You were really gonna skip town again without stopping by. Do you know how worried we were!? You left without warning last time, not a single word or anything! Your lucky I don'-" She was cut off by a soft, yet clear voice.
"Please Aunt Joy, leave him alone. I'm sure Crenu had his reasons for leaving like that." She continued to smile sweetly, wheeling herself a little closer. "And I'm sure there was a reason he was going to leave without letting us know he had come back."
