Cale Arched an eyebrow."You...work for the Republic...." He said cautiously. "And they don't serve mead here. Beer or whisky. those are the options."

"I see," Mordranna sheepishly replied. "Beer, then," She then looked Cale over, wondering if he even liked anything about her. She merely shrugged. "They treat me well enough." Stifling a sigh, she pondered the man before her.
Definetely not dream guy material. 1. He doesn't care for the Empire. Well, you at least have that in common. 2. He really doesn't like Jedi. Better keep that saber tucked deep in the purse, sister! 3. And, it seems he has some sort of beef with the Republic, as well.
Well ... at least he likes music.

"ok...so what do you do for the republic?" He asked in an attempt to be nonchalant. Knowing my luck, she's probably the head investigator for Republic Intelligence, or a member of the Sector Rangers or BOSS. Confiscate my ship will they? not on this Corellian's watch.

And, thus, Cale had upped the stakes. To be sure, she couldn't tell him what she really did for the Republic. Or, at least not the part about being a Jedi. "I lead a fighter squadron of X-wings." She replied. Close enough to the truth. Let's see how he responds to that ... "A beautiful ship, yes?"

Cale was silent for a moment. then he laughed. "Oh, yeah. Real pretty. when they explode! You guys don't give up on those things do you?" He chuckled at the thought and then a distressing realization crossed his mind. "Didn't you say you were a stormie?"

Ztaph and his 2 teamates were taking cover, when a metallic ball came their way. Thinking it was a detonator, Ztaph knew there was only 1 option. He took the remaining detonators from his teamates, and activated them all as quickly as possible while staying strapped to him. He dived for the ball, activating the jump boosters in his armor to act a jetpack. " FOR THE FEDERATION! " he screamed, as he made a kamikaze charge using his boosters for the end of the corridor.

" Well, I've been wanting to know if maybe... you ever considered me as someone that's more than just your apprentice. I mean, have you ever thought about us being together... and not just as the Dark Lord and Lady of the Sith? " Angel asked. Her nerves were getting to her, her voice shaking a little in fear that he would reject her when he realized what she was getting at.

"That I did," Mordranna replied nonchalantly, enjoying the man's mirth. "Always wanted to try for the TIE squadrons. As you can see, the Republic has a better appreciation for women." She paused for a moment for effect, and then continued. "X-wings tend to be more durable than any TIE ever made. And, they even beat out the squint for elegance."

Gunny watched as the kamikazie tripped the cryoban grenade, followed by the second grenade. Caution was thrown to the wind. Though Gunny hated to lose both grenades at once.
"That isn't going to get you anywhere!" He shouted.

"Yeah, but why not an E-wing? He said. "the X-wing is ancient technology. It may have killed two deathstars, but that was more pilot than performance."

Mordranna couldn't help but giggle at Cale's question. "I'm just a romantic at heart. And besides, if they're good enough for Rogue Squadron, they're good enough for me." And, she gave him a heartfelt wink, "And, as you say, it's not the ship, it's the driver."

"I'll have a beer." said Cajin, placing his order..
"Me? I'm just an odd-job man, it seems." he said, shrugging. "I'm more of a freelancer who's been working for the Republic more and more."
He sipped at his drink, listening to their conversation on spaceships, and then chuckled and said, "I was just a grunt; the ships I was used to were ISDs and Assault Shuttles. Me, I just fly a re-rigged Lambda; it's a good ship."

"Yeah. I guess thats true. but skill alone won't save you when technology passes you by." He turned to Cajin and gave an odd look. "You live out of a Lambda? Get a Yt man. She will never let you down."

With only a few seconds on the timers, Ztaph gave a final command over his com. " All units, full attack on the shie-" Before he could finish, the detonators exploded right at the doorway, taking Ztaph's life in the brilliant flash caused by the lot of them. The rest of the team understood what the command was, and the 2 already inside held their position until the rest came in and joined them. They all continued down the corridor, picking up a few guard corpses to use as shields as they rained blaster fire everywhere.

Gunnie rolled a thermal down the hall, getting a blaster through his broomhead hair. Annoyed, he looked at the mirrors he had placed, and aimed blasterbolt after blasterbolt at the charging squads, without ever exposing himself.

Neb had seen what he needed to see, and had begun sprinting. the outer defenses would be safe, but the shields which held the base together were not. He sprinted, as fast as he could.
"Hold on Gunnie, I'mma comin'."
