Silvrendir shrugged one shoulder and grinned up at Lore. "Nobody," he replied softly, squatting next to it again. "Just people." And he reached down with one hand and wiped the pictures away, giggling. Then he reached his hands up to Lore to be picked up again.
Elnara smiled back at Aranhil and nodded. "It was good to see you again as well," she replied softly. "I only wish things might have gone a bit better. As it is ... well."
She gave his hand a small squeeze. "Until we meet again," she murmured, and turned to leave.

Aranhil nodded and smiled as well, and this time he didn't have to force it. "Until next time," he agreed.

Lore chuckled at that as he picked the little boy up, holding him in his arms along with Idhril. He looked over his shoulder to see if Elnara was ready to go, though he didn't ask.
Give the two time, it had been a long time for the both of them after all.

Elnara smiled and held her hands out to take one of the children from Lore, whichever he wanted to pass off to her.
"Ready to go?" she murmured softly.

Lore gave Idhril to Elnara, even though the little girl was often quite clingly to him, it would give him a chance to spend a little time with Slivrendir that way.
"Ready," he replied.

Elnara tucked Idhril comfortably against her shoulder and impulsively squeezed her in a tight hug.
"Let's go then, shall we?" she murmured, linking arms with Lore. She reached for the door and stepped outside, then held it with her foot so that Lore could follow.

"Yes," Lore murmured as he followed her back out glancing back for a moment to wave good bye.
He let her lead the way to the grandparents, which he was assuming where she was going to head to next. Unless there was somewhere else she had in mind.

As Elnara started leading the way down the street towards the next level of the city, she slipped her hand into Lore's and gave it a squeeze.
"I have to apologize for what happened in there," she murmured softly, eyes downcast. "I should have told you beforehand ... when I lived here in the city for those few brief months, he and I spent a lot of time together. Some said he was courting me ... I was oblivious to that. I thought that we were just good friends, but when I returned last, I discovered that, on his part at least, it was more. I thought he would have forgotten about it by now, but ... it seems, unfortunately, that he hasn't."
She looked up at him, her eyes cloudy and sorrowful. "I'm sorry ... I should have given you warning."

It clicked in then what had occured, though he kind of guessed. Though he had never thought of Elnara has the oblivious type, but then again he had been obilivious even when he was courting her at first. So he had been dependented on her to come forward with it.
Lore, since his one arm was free wrapped it around her shoulder, "It's okay," he murmured softly, "You didn't know how deep those feelings ran. Like you said... you were young, and when you left, you were sad. It wouldn't be the first thing on your mind."

Elnara leaned into his shoulder, taking comfort from his warmth and nearness.
"I had no idea it would be so awkward," she murmured. "I mean, I knew in my mind that he cared for me once ... but I never dreamed that he would still. It's been decades, after all, and he thought I would never return - especially to see him."
She rested her head on his shoulder. "We knew someone had seen me," she murmured. "Triton, my brother Gion and I had gone to visit the plantation, and on our way back we were attacked by humans ... freebooters, I believe. They were skilled ... very skilled ... I could hardly bring a weapon to bear ... I changed, and we managed to ... dispatch of them all, but ..."
She cleared her throat. "We saw tracks that led to the city. We had no idea who it might have been ... until now."

He nodded at that, since he probably had seemed like the last person to have told. There probably had been little point in finding out who at the time as well. Lore squeezed Elnara's shoulder reassuringly.
"At least..." he murmured, "That he had not meant to out of fear for you, but rather put out from being told about something special of a loved one. I'm worried though, he seemed... still upset over it, even though he didn't mean any harm by it."

Elnara licked her lips apprehensively. "I think it was more ... the fact that you were with me, rather than being upset over what happened then," she said softly. "Not that it was anything personal against you, I could tell that he did like you ... but I believe he was ... jealous."
She blushed deeply.

"Ah....." Lore replied softly thinking back on it.
He could see where the would occur, if he still loved her and then seeing her iwth something else.
"I guess it did not help that we also have two of the children with us."

Elnara blinked. "I hadn't really thought about it," she laughed. "I'm so used to everyone knowing they're all adopted ... though Idhril does look enough like me to be mine biologically, except for her size ..."
She giggled. "Oh dear."
Idhril blinked up at Elnara. "But I'm not a natural baby," she said seriously, her golden eyes wide. "I'm a Second!"
Silvrendir giggled and spread his wings wide, half blocking Lore's view.

Lore chuckled a bit as he tickled Silvrednir's out stretched wing thoughtfully, he wasn't sure what Aranhil made of Silvrendir, but Idhril was physically a lot like Elnara.
"Well, I do come from Gaia and he knows you went to another world, who knows? Maybe people assume just strange things happens in pairings such as these."
