"That's reassuring," Neko stated in response. It wasn't completely cold but it did give off the air that he was not pleased with how things had turned out, though he was sure that there was no helping it.

Returning to the task of tieing up the curtains as well to help speed the process along Neko kept his focus to the floor. "As long as we get out of here with no more trouble I'll be happy enough with that. Not like we'll stay in this town long enough for the guards to be a problem." Light conversation that didn't give much away, at least Neko hoped not anyway.

Securing the last bit of curtain with a tight knot Neko stood and stretched out his work giving it a once over. "I think I'm done, how's yours coming along?" The sooner they got out of there the better. The longer they stayed the more at risk they were.

Riyo watched the two for only a second before returning to her place at the door to keep watch for any more perver- I mean guards. She was definitely not in a good mood after being insulted. What had he wanted? Sure, getting a drink was innocent enough, but it was the way he put it. Oh well. She'd figure it out eventually...

"I'll probably have to be leaving town soon myself," mumbled the thief as he finished up the last of his knots. After doing a few more checks on how tight they were, he nodded to Neko.

"All done here. Let's go ahead and tie it to a good spot."

As he said this, he glanced around the window, trying to see what was around that would hold up well. There was the bar the curtains were originally draped off of. So getting up, he stood up on the window sill and grabbed the bar. He hopped down to let himself hang from the bar for a bit to test it. Satisfied with it, he went ahead and got back on the ground.

"The curtains' bars seem to hold up pretty good. Let's go ahead and use that."

Neko gave a nod handing Blade the make shift rope to secure as well. "One of us should go first before Riyo. To make sure the thing's not going to crumble under some weight."

Waving to Riyo to join them he moved closer to the window pushing it open to peer out to see if the coast was clear. As luck would have it, of course it wasn't. Two guards paced the grounds below keeping watch over the tower like faithful dogs. "Great," Neko hissed quietly backing away from the window. "We have two problems with this plan. My only hope that who ever goes down first has good aim when landing." His hint was more toward landing on the guards or at least landing on one and then taking out the other but it was more of a joke than anything. He was hoping Blade would have a plan of his own.

Hanse's torso came in contact with a fleshy mass as he entered the door of the tavern. Without looking, he used his arm to basically fling the useless creature from his path. He snorted lightly from the listless effort required to push whatever it was that decided to be where he was walking, and quickly scanned the tables for signs of Skye. His eyes quickly spotted the blonde playboy, and he spoke strongly in his general direction, knowing he would be heard by him. "Skye, we're leaving this place. There's nothing to do."

Skye's brow perked lightly at first with the sounds of the entrance of Hanse, at the same time Yuki was leaving, I bet that wasn't pleasant. He laughed lightly as he slowly stood up, after hearing Hanse's words. "If I didn't know any better, you're starting to act more like a leader than a loner." He looked around briefly for any sign of Yuki, and watched with amusement as the events unfolded before him.

Hitsu has rushed to catch up with Poke, and when she was offered food she looked at it in surprise. "You didn't have to pay for my food!" She protested, though slowly reached out for the skewered meat. It did look good, and if they were still hungry she'd be sure to offer to purchase at the next stop. She gave it a try, "Ohh, it's really good!" She shortly looked to Mitsu with amusement, who seemed intrigued by the meal that Poke was offering. "Just try some, Mitsu. I'll bet you'll like it if you do." She tried looking past Poke at the stand, "We should get some more, for the others." Of course, she was unaware that Neko and Riyo had already eaten. Or, tried to. Likely, they'd be ready for more after their little outing.

-----

No sooner had Yuki bumped into Hanse while trying to cross the threshold, purely by accident to top it off, he found himself back inside the tavern. Not by choice, either. He was practically tossed out of the dragon's path, backward and left to crash into the wooden floor in short succession. As quickly as he'd hit the ground, Yuki hoisted himself back up onto his feet. This time he wasn't intoxicated, and this time he was going to put a hurting on the over sized b*****d. Or, at least that was the plan.

Yuki could easily have shouted at Hanse, but he didn't. Instead, he leapt toward the dragon. Certainly patrons of the tavern looked upon him as a dim wit, for he clearly had not put enough force behind his jump to reach his opponent. However, once one foot had stomped the floor, his intention was made completely, and loudly obvious.

The sound of crackling and splintering wood temporarily drowned out the noise of the entire building, as the floor just before Yuki's point of landing erupted like the earth beneath the tavern was little more than water disturbed by a falling rock. Wood, stone and earth made a violent movement forward in a beeline toward the dragon. The disturbance barely rose over a foot from the floor, but striking him with the debris was not the goal. As swiftly as the damage neared Hanse, the wooden floor directly beneath his feet was torn away as the earth below jutted out in all directions and effectively created an open pitfall underneath him.

[If he actually falls into it, which I doubt, I'll leave the depth up to you. It's not meant to be anything extreme, though, so it wouldn't be over his head or shoulders.]

Hanse's brow quirked lightly as he noticed who he had thrown, and let out a small laugh as he watched the shattering floor boards speed towards him. He rotated his shoulders as his wings extended to the ceiling of the tavern, and two small hook-like appendages at the 'elbow' of the wings took hold. He lifted himself up from the floor as the shattering swept under him. He shook his head lightly while lowering himself to the undamaged section of flooring. "You'll have to do better than that boy, if you want to catch someone by surprise with that little technique." Hanse further ignored Yuki as he turned his gaze back to Skye, "You coming or not? You seem to prefer flying over walking now-a-days."

Skye shrugged a little, and crossed his arms and continued to watch, "I dunno, things just might get interesting here."

Doing as Hitsu had suggested Mitsu took hold of the noodles offered to her and gave them a try. At first she took a careful bite unsure what the outcome was going to be, but as soon as the noodles hit her tongue her eyes lit up with excitment as she began to down her treat. "This ish *munch munch* Sho good." Her words were slurred through mouthfuls of food as the manners Hitsu had tried so hard to teach her were currently forgotten.

Hitsu laughed lightly, clearly not too upset about the lack of manners. They had been without food all day, after all. So, it was understandable that Mitsu would be so hungry. She took the rest of her own meal to lighten Poke's load, offering her a smile. "Thank you, Poke. I'll have to buy us dessert in return."

It took only a few minutes for Hitsu to finish her own food, and once she had she walked over to the stand. Moments later she returned to Poke and Mitsu with a trio of small boxes in her arms. "Something sweet, and then we can head back?" She suggested.

-----

To say that Yuki was irritated might have been an understatement. He scowled at the dragon's ridicule, with a growl as his only response. There was no doubt that both patrons and employees were furious about the damage to the tavern. Yuki didn't need to be here any longer. In one last-ditch effort, he gave a hasty sweep of one arm. Large fragments of the risen earth and stone were swiftly dislodged and sent flying in Hanse's direction.

Yuki, however, didn't stick around to watch the result, as much as he'd have liked to. Risk of arrest was certainly already present, and he didn't want to give anyone time to show up. That, and he certainly had no intentions to pay for the damage. He slipped quickly out the door, took off down the street, quickly melting into the crowd.

It took little time for Mitsu to finish her food and she spent her free time licking at her fingers to get any last remains of the flavor from them. That was one of the best meals she had ever had. "Thank you, Poke." Mitsu nodded once she was done giving her hands a thorough cleaning.

After Hitsu bought three more containers of food, no doubt for the others, Mitsu gave a nod of enthusiasm. "Dessert!" She chimed happily. She wasn't sure what it was but was at least certain it meant more food. Getting ready to follow behind Hitsu and Poke, Mitsu noticed she felt a little wobbly on her feet. Stopping again she shook her head a bit as an odd feeling swept over her and then vanished. Once the feeling of sickness wavered she gave a shrug of confusion before trotting off after Hitsu and Poke.

After hitsu and mitsu took their sticks, she took a nice chunk out of her own food. At hitsu's protest she merely waved it off. "It's alright, my treat. And" she took another bite out, chewed and swallowed "I've been living off your expenses for a week so it's no biggie" After finishing, sehe followed hitsu and she grinned when she brought the three boxes "see what I mean?"

Riyo trotted over to the window as Neko signaled her. Though, when he seemed to grow upset at whatever might be outside the window, she just had to take a peek. Two of those... Men... She looked back at the unconscious one, then down at those two.

"Nyuuu..." She whispered under her breath, fingers twiddling. She moved her head back inside slowly when she was satisfied. Her eyes, for one split second, changed back to that of insanity. They of course, didn't stay that way long enough for anyone who hadn't been paying attention to notice. "Riyo could... Try and distract them." This was of course, referring back to her little "trick" she'd pulled back there only an hour or less before. It didn't matter to her either way. They had to get out of here somehow. Even if it meant loosing a little more of herself.

Blade went ahead and got on the window sill again so he could tie the curtain-rope to the bar. As Neko mentioned some problems down below, he glanced out to see the two guards. Frowning at this, he let out a sigh while finishing up with the rope.

"No Riyo, you've been through enough already I think."

Hopping back down, the thief took a moment to think of what should be done. Originally he wanted to be the last one to descend but now he wasn't so sure. As he thought, he peeked back out the window to get a better idea of how the ground below was laid out. It wasn't very likely that all three of them could successfully sneak past the guards, so they'd need to either pull their attention away or take them both out.

A part of him had the temptation to just try and drop stuff on their heads but that could really get messy. And everything else he could think of probably wouldn't buy enough time for all three to descend.

"You may be right Neko... how much confidence do you have to be able to do something like that?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 23, 2008 6:22 pm

"Uhh," Neko did a double take looking back at Blade. It had only been a joke but apparently he had been taken literally. "Well, I can't say that I have experience jumping out of a two story window to try and land on two guards and take them out without killing myself."

Looking out the window once more to gauge the situation, Neko started up on the window sill. "But I guess I'll never know how good I am at it until I try."

Been through enough? Riyo looked at Blade as if he'd just insulted her. Been through enough. She hadn't even done anything... At least, nothing productive.

When Neko got up on the window sill, Riyo's eyes widened. "Nyuuuuu!" She whined. Was that really a good idea in his condition?
