Salute to Freedom needs to be burned!!! It's so boring and they're all songs we've heard way too many times in our life.

I'd have to say Adagio for strings I would have to say burn it for anyone who's in high school and Jr. High but when you hear the Santa Clara Vanguard play it you just want to kiss them! heart

Two songs make me cringe to this very day, and I am two years out of high school:
1. Sawmill Creek - When I started playing in fifth grade, every single first-year band student was required to take Sawmill Creek as a solo to contest. After that it wasn't so bad; we still had to take songs from the back of the band book which was frustrating, but there was at least a little variety.
2. The stinking marching version of Jingle Bells that I had to play. Every year. In the Christmas parades. Made worse by the fact that my father, (a cop,) would stop directing traffic as the band marched past in order to go crazy about having his daughter playing in the band.
Small town. That's all I'm gonna say.

'Fantasia: Disney Princesses - Part II' burning_eyes
My oh my, I hate that song with passion. My Band had to play that for the Homecoming half-time show...8 times. stressed
I play the Clarinet, which made it worse, so I had all those 'happy' and 'up-beat' notes that will make anyone sick if they hear it.
I liked part I of Fantasia...not part II talk2hand

Um...Cornel(sp) Bogey March was one of my favs from last year.
As for our marching show this year, we should burn the score. There's too many pit parts for us! Where'd Hartmetz put his cloning device?

froggyfluf i HATE the song Circus Bee. i had to transpose it to play it, AND THE WHOLE THING WAS OOM-PAS!!!!!! (as in rest-quarter-rest-quarter forever and ever) i was close to burning that song by the end of last year. *twitch twitch* I had to play it also. I know what you mean. I'm a French Hornist, and that's all we EVER get in Marches. So we had a bit of fun. We added some trills and sixteenth notes. It actually was pretty sweet.

pretty much
every single mellophone part to every single flipping march i've ever played Right now. Give me the key signature for any parade march written, and i can probably give you a pretty exact improvisation of the horn part for that piece. it's like 3 notes and i might have a part in the opening and a couple transitions and oh the trio might change a little but it's UPBEATS!!! the WHOLE DAMN SONG!!!!!
yes. i hate parades.
