Jackie then stood up and walked out of the cave, away from the fire. She didn't want to get close enough to the hot springs, for she knew that both Strobe and Max were there to bath. She just sighed silently as she climbed a tree and sat down on a branch, leaning back against the tree itself. Her ears then perked up to when they mention her name. 'Why are they talking about me?' She thought in her mind as she shifted herself to try to hear more of their conversation.

Crow flipped the cover of his file back open, returning to the page he'd left his reading off. With Jackie in a tree and Kioko across the fire it was unlikely any of them would see what he was reading. He began reading again, moving past the text that had helped him recall an event, and into that which seemed to go into when the research started.

[[ haha! I've noticed that too...but 5 people is all we really need...right? ]]

Jackie then heard Strobe talk about killing some girl in the past. 'Does it relate to me? I heard them say my name once before. Did Strobe do something to a girl or even...me? Did he kill me?! But that can't be! I mean...I'm still alive...right?' She thought to herself as she kept listening to them quietly, seeing if they'll say anything about her.

"ive been through a lot of things too. in my cell i was chained spread eagled in a standing position." he rubbed his wrists as if he could still feel them. "i was tortured. they never used any anesthetic on me, nothing to dull the pain. i screamed for help but none ever came. when the fun of hearing me scream was over, they gagged me to muffle the sound. it hurt so much feeling everything change, my ears, my nose, my tail. that one hurt a lot because it wasnt there to begin with. and i was electrocuted until i was senseless. they always had me blindfolded during the experiments so i never knew what to expect. in between my experiments though, i saw a lot of things. terrible things. im just glad its over."

"Well, thanks for listening. That's a huge weight off my chest." Strobe said, smiling at the cat-boy.

Jackie was still in shock with what she had heard. So she climbed down the tree she was in very carefully, hoping not to make a sound. Once she was on the ground, she walked briskly over to Kioko as she saw her still reading the book. "Anything yet?" She asked as she sat down next to her, curious of the whole ordeal.

Crow was hearing what Kioko and Jackie said, storing it unconsciously, the war in particular sounded interesting. He continued reading his own report, enveloped completely by the information it held. His previous prediction was correct, they had indeed spent tremendous amounts of time on him, in fact in terms of finance and labor, he was the most expensive among them, though a considerable amount of the cost was probably due to the massive damage he caused to the facility when they'd underestimated his initial power. As he read on he began to find data on his incredible innate abilities, and those others given to him at the lab.
