Hi there Eagles, it's your sleepy-eyed Head of House. I had blood drawn today ::shudders:: and not in a romantic, sexy vampire way. However the lady naturopath doctor who facilitated is very nice, and we used Arnica oil after the draw, so I have no bruises. But I was so tired, I fell asleep at the computer and just woke up. Thought I'd finish up some things before bed.

To KitaAmaya, a warm welcome! Please list your wishes in our Erised thread here, so we can properly gift you! Anyway, we'll be apparating in a surprise rolleyes welcome gift to you soon. My supplier PMed her ok and hasn't been on Gaia and will hopefully back with her supplies shortly. If not , we have alternatives.

To everyone:

Let's urge all Ravenclaws to post their Eriseds- there are House Points for the House with the most members listing their desires. Hey, every Ravenclaw listens to reason, yes? Well, if they've been active on Gaia, but distracted from playing in Haven, they'll get 50 gold just for posting their desires--plus a chance at our Grand Prize! :::cough::: which we still aren't sure what...Dec 07 letter was winning when I last looked.

Also, let's see if we can get everyone to choose a Haven Holiday Banner to add to their signature. It has to be there through the Yule Ball (and better yet through January first), and they need to post in the ERISED thread or Secret Santa so we get 10 points for each one!! The Hufflepuffs are ahead of us in member posts at the moment. It would be great if you'all would split the member lists and contact all the Ravenclaws to come and play. They'd be
smart to.....!

Last, but not least,

*runs around knocking on doors and gathering everyone in the common room around the tables*

I completely agree with our Head of House - so I'm sharing this info again (it's on page 46/47 of our thread).

Officially, the Erised & Secret Santa threads are open.

Please visit (Holiday events in Haven, whee!) and be sure to read the first posts to get the information and learn what you need to do. If you haven't put together your "Erised" list, you'll definitely be wanting to do that soon! Also, while you're in the Events Subforums, swing by the Ravenclaw Holiday Common Room and pop back in here to tell me what you think. (So far only two Ravenclaws have told me what they think!!) The winning thread is worth 50 House points, so I want us to do great!

ALSO, please go and post your Erised list in the Erised thread - the more members of a house post, the more likely we'll get points (The house with the most users participating gets House points). Plus, it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
smile

I hope that everyone is having a FANTASTIC holiday season - come on back to the Haven and chat about it, I miss my fellow Ravenclaws!

Ahh!!! I am so sorry that I havent been on! My real life is gettting stressful...I have an essay to write tonight, so I have to go to the library and get my sources..thankfully I don't have to take a final for that class. I have so much math homework that I have been putting off, I have a 5 page paper to write also by Monday! And thats not all....I have finals next week. And my Japanese project is due tomorrow! We haven't even finished the editing process of the movie. So let's just say my first semester of college is freaking me out. Not to mention that last night I stayed over at my friends house and I sort of confessed my feelings to a guy I've liked for a while and he's my really good friend and I don't know how he is going to react to me when he sees me tomorrow. I hope I didn't ruin our friendship..even though he did call me sweet, funny and fun to be around with. heart Which I think its pretty cute and yeah I get all happy inside...I also have the new philosophy that men are idiots. For one he was telling my best friend Lexie yesterday (who happends to be SexyXloveXangel) that he wants a girl who one these are his exact words
" I have fun around with, I can talk to her about anything, I don't have to pretend to be something I'm not around her.." and here I am, when I heard that I looked at my friend and was like.."hello.....can't you see that I'm exactly how you said..." So yeah, men are idiots because they can't see that what they want is right in front of them. Now I really don't know what to do.
Anyways skipping my whole rant...I will post my wishes on Erised wish list
this weekend. I promise! I am sorry if my saying that men are idiots offended anyone. What I meant to say...are they all this ignorant or hard-headed. By the way Orna, the common room looks great! You did a wonderful job. biggrin

That's ok - we just miss you! smile

We look forward to hearing how this situation plays out (and we'll be hoping for the best!) and seeing your Erised list.

Good luck to getting everything done - I barely remember my first semester at college, so I understand!

Thanks Orna! I hope everything goes okay with Christian...and I just have a question. Does anybody know how to proofread essays? If so just contact me so you perhaps review my essay.

Wow, cool!

T.T

Yes, yes, we all know that homework is bad.

But we're Ravenclaw, right?

We are the intellects...

o.o

Which means that the other houses are quite stupid ('cause I'm not that bright)...jk... sweatdrop

Well, I think the only reason that people think homework is bad because it takes the time away from doing other fun things with our 'supposed free time.'

Well, it's not necessarily meant that we're the most intelligent - it's just that we tend to treasure knowledge and learning. smile

I love my new avi! biggrin I feel like a snow queen!

Lol, I love your cat. It's cool.

Well, it depends, I guess....

Some people enjoy doing homework, so to them...homework is their free time.

o.o

Like my brother. He has like a 3.8 on Johns Hopkins only because he does extra research. He actually enjoys his classes. I don't see that happening anytime with most of my classes...

For me, that didn't really start until college - because I knew what I wanted to do. Of course, my favorite class will always be "Wilderness Experience" because we actually went backpacking in the Colorado wilderness for 8 days. smile Some of my best memories are from there.

But once you find a passion for something and you take those classes, that's when you'll enjoy them.

I'm off to bed - throw some clothes in the laundry and SNOOZE!

Oh that's so cool...

I'm only in Middle School, and it's kinda...boring...

scream

Besides like Philosophy.

That's fun 'cause we get to talk and English.

And Video Production...I just don't like those really dreary classes that just seem to go on and on and on and teachers just lecture all day.

Like math.

And Biology (yes, we rarely do experiments and stuff like that), andddd umm...Chinese, and...*tries squeezing an idea from head*

*laughs* I know it's boring, but there are some things that you'll look fondly at when you're older. For me - it's mostly a blur, I moved so much! smile

Oh, I didn't say it in the earlier post - but thanks on the cat comment! That's my Kiki - I don't really wear her that often but she was one of the first items I tried really hard to get (back then she was only 50K or so!)
