Today I made onigiri for lunch again. This time I tried hand molding them for the first time, and made them fancy, like for a bento box. I made some filled with bonito flakes, some with scrambled eggs, and some with marinated pieces of Spam. I even cut the slices of Spam into little cherry blossom shaped pieces using a food cutter I bought at a Japanese dollar store.
It ended up being an epic, but delicious, failure, because the rice kept falling apart from me not being able to shape them properly.
My boyfriend happily ate them all anyway heart (hopefully I can get him to do the dishes in exchange for me cooking him dinner...)
I'm trying to get good at making onigiri, dongo, and bento box stuff so I can hold a cooking panel at the anime convention my friends started.
If anyone makes onigiri regularly and has advice, I'd gladly take it smile

Care_e ah yes! Boy Meets World.. Step by Step... Family Matters... Hanging with Mr. Cooper... I miss TGIF! gonk Vin: awe... babies! I would be happy to babysit XD but i understand that for a whole week it might get a little frustrating, especially during YOUR vacation time.
Well The plans changed slightly today. My sister cant take her out of daycare for a week without paying them to keep her spot. Evil people. So just the little one for now. Summer break is a different story. Oh well.
Boy Meets World! I love that show so much. And I think I know which episode your talking about BP. Is it the one where he gets shocked by the microwave and they go through the whole spudnik and 'Flash' thing?

Vin: ya, thats the only BMW episode that i can recall where they go back in time,, i think there was another one,but i haven't seen it in forever.
oh yes, another to add to the list.. Full House XD funny enough, i saw the very last episode and the very first episode, back to back, in that order rofl
