It was very likely that Samuel had passed the station many times in his travels. It hadn't even been that long since he last went to one, but still the exact location slipped his mind. He tried his best to play it off and get his boundaries. In his head he liked to think he knew how to get there from the club. Beside him, Micha soon teased him. Samuel lied, not wanting to admit his mistake. At the next light, Samuel turned left and continued to follow the road. Hearing the male speak again, Samuel felt his cheeks begin to burn. "I'm fine." he lied again. He could totally get them back on track, he knew this neighborhood like the back of his hand. He just needed to get away from his club first.

Samuel wasn't prone to lying, only when he didn't want to talk about something or he was in denial to some form of teasing. Right now, he was a bit in between. He didn't want to admit to being lost and he was definitely denying that they were going the wrong way. Right now they were just a few blocks away from the club. He could get his bearings, no problem. As Micha teased him, his cheeks began to heat up and he lied again. He didn't have much reason to lie and still he did. Beside him, Micha's tone turned more serious as he spoke again. Samuel glanced down at his lap as a hand brushed against his thigh then back at the road. "I am fine. Nothing is the matter." he replied. He glanced again towards the male to show that he wasn't mad. "See? Just got a little sidetracked...that's all." Looking back out at the road, they crossed yet another intersection. He was positive they were going the right way this time. If he remembered correctly, the station was in the direction of the city. The city was to the west, so that meant he needed to take another....right?

There wasn’t a problem, at least he didn’t think so. He might have been a little annoyed with himself, but that was it. Feeling a hand against his thigh, Samuel to his lap then the road then back to Micha. All the while assuring him that everything was fine. Having turned his attention back towards the road he didn’t see Micha nod but, he knew he ******** up when he pulled his hand away. Samuel continued on down the road until they reached the next red light. As they sat there he reached for the lighter and cigarettes in his pocket. Flipping back the box top with his thumb he pulled one out and slipped the filter between his lips. He set the remaining pack in a cup holder then brought the lighter to the tip. He flicked the wheel a couple of times before lighting the end. Samuel breathed deeply as the tip glowed. Setting the lighter in the holder as well the light changed. He continued down the road for half a block before turning right. He didn’t care if it was the wrong way, either he’d find it or run out gas trying.

Samuel knew that he was being stupid, and all over something like directions. Except it wasn't just the directions that irritated him. He didn't know what it was. He said nothing as he reached for his cigarettes. The car soon filled with smoke and he did Micha the curtesy by cracking his window. When the light changed he took what he knew was another wrong turn. He wasn't going to ask. If Micha wanted to get out and walk, that would only upset him more. He tried to calm himself by taking another pull as the silence settled between. Samuel continued for another two blocks down the road before pulling into a gas station. Turning on the emergency flashers, he put the car in park. "Sorry." he said softly. "I'm being an a**."

Driving around he had two choices; one, he could continue to drive aimlessly until they ran out of fuel. Or two, he could pull over, apologize, and pull up his GPS as he should have done originally. He chose the latter. Samuel continued to drive another two blocks before pulling them into a gas station. The lot was mostly empty with two cars parked in front of the store, and one facing away from them was parked at a pump. He sat there silently a moment while the lights flashed and smoke swirled around him. He was quiet as he apologized. Taking the filter from his lips, he tapped the cigarette against the ashtray. He could feel Micha watching him as he glanced over. When he spoke he was rightfully annoyed. <********, I don't know." he grumbled. "Maybe it's the same reason you're in a bad mood." Samuel was trying his best to be civil. But sarcasm came to him as naturally as breathing, and making him sound like an even bigger a**. He lift his hand once more for a quick puff, then blowing the smoke out of the side of his mouth.

His apology was s**t, it didn't surprise him that it didn't make Micha feel any better. His attitude certainly wasn't helping things either. Samuel didn't understand why he was so frustrated. It wasn't just the directions or their conversation earlier. When Micha questioned him, he admitted to not knowing and continued to smoke. He wasn't trying to blame Micha, or maybe he was. It was certainly easier to blame someone else than to sit there and try to rationalize his feelings. Hearing the male speak again, Samuel did not to answer. If he said the wrong thing he felt like Micha would just get out and leave. But he had to say something. "Cause you are, I know you are." he replied. "I made you talk about something you really didn't want to talk about. Now you're gonna go home, ignore me for the next however many hours, maybe the whole night, and we're probably not going see each other for days." Samuel glared down at his lap like a spoiled child as he spoke. It was the same song and dance over and over again. He thought talking should have helped but it only seemed to have made things worse and now he was about it. He didn't want to be, but he was. Why couldn't things ever end peacefully between them instead of in an argument or painful silence. Raising his cigarette, he took another long pull before letting the smoke out in a huff like an annoyed dragon.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • While he hated to talk about his near death experience, it was necessary. Micha didn't want to hide things from Samuel. Although he wished he had. He was feeling guilty about his experience now he was going through the consequences. Sitting in the car going in circles, hadn't bothered him. However something was bothering Samuel far more than being lost. Micha questioned Samuel, expecting him to continue to avoid the question. He figured if Samuel wasn't going to tell him, then what good was the car ride. Micha could easily find his own way back to his hotel.
Waiting for an answer, he watched as Samuel seemed to fume as he smoked on his cigarette. When Samuel did speak, he hated how well Samuel knew him. Indeed his thoughts did lie in such a direction. It was his natural reaction to flea instead of dealing with it. He hardly thought of Samuel as spoiled, only rational. Micha watched as Samuel seemed to huff out his smoke in anger.
He turned to glance out the window as he sighed, mostly to himself. Micha reached up as he ran a hand through his hair. ”I hate when you do that.” He responded as he glanced toward Samuel. Micha moved to unbuckle his seat belt. He turned in the car towards Samuel. ”You know me so well at times.” Micha commented as he looked away to gather his thoughts. ”I'm sorry…I'm sorry I'm a coward who would rather run away than face their problems…” He spoke, as he choked out his words. Micha was being selfish to his own feelings and not taking Samuel's into consideration. ”What do you want from me?” He questioned Samuel, figuring if he wanted to talk then so be it. Micha needed to stop running or he'd run so far and worried Samuel wouldn't wait.

Samuel had never been so low in his life, not once. He couldn't imagine the pain that entailed such a confession. To recall something like that in detail and walk away from it was a feat on its' own. Some were not so fortunate. He was grateful that Micha hadn't lied to him about it, or told him to leave it alone, that it wasn't his business to know. Still, he could see that knowing didn't help things, it didn't change anything. If anything it had made things worse and he could feel himself being pushed out again. He hated it. More than anything, he hated it.
When Micha questioned him again, he didn't hold back his answer. For the briefest moment he thought he should have. He worried if he said the wrong thing Micha would just jump out and walk away again. And who could blame him when he was like this. Smoking and in a bad mood, Samuel was no fun to be around. Still he called out the male. They had been together long enough that it was no secret that Micha would likely run away from him. And he definitely had a pattern of ignoring him for ever long he could stand it. Sometimes it was only hours, other times it was for days. It didn't really matter as it all hurt the same, being ignored like that. Samuel continued to stew and huff on his cigarette. Smoke billowed around him as he practically pouted.
Beside him he heard the man sigh, and Samuel glanced towards him only find Micha glancing out the window. He watched as Micha ran a hand through his hair and spoke. Samuel was about to take the filter from his lips and argue when the man then unbuckled his seat belt. He felt anxious. Either Micha was going to tell him to ******** off forever, or they were going to have a real conversation. He wasn't sure which. Removing the cigarette from his mouth, he set it down in the ash tray between them, not ready to stub out just yet. Micha continued to speak in that same time, commenting on his knowledge of him. It couldn't be helped, he was always watching, making notes. He had wanted nothing more than to make him happy and he couldn't even do that right.
An apology was the last thing he'd expected out of Micha, but he was given one anyway. Hearing him choking, the raw emotion, it dulled his anger. It made Samuel want to pull him into his lap and hold him like earlier. Though now he wasn't sure how much it would be wanted or even appreciated given the tight space. "You're not a coward." he said said softly. But Micha wasn't finished yet. Before Samuel could say more, he was raised another question. He wasn't sure how to answer him. There were a lot of things Samuel wanted concerning the male though he was not sure they actually correlated to this particular conversation.
"I want to feel like you want to be apart of this relationship." he said honestly. His heart pounded as he spoke the words and he waited a moment before continuing. "I know... that you love me, and that you're scared. But I worry that all this talk of a future and living together, or even marriage is just a fantasy...and and you're gonna leave again. A-and it's not gonna be just a year or a couple of days. You're going to be like gone gone, and I'm never going to see you again. Like ever, just poof, that's it we're over, and that's ******** terrifying." Samuel sat there a little surprised with himself. Micha had wanted the truth, and there it was.
