b-but i'm listening to my gooshy 80s music on youtube right now... gonk heart
aah, so OCs can be for creative writing (fiction) purposes as well 3nodding . *looks up OCs on wikipedia* well, it looks like my toons fit the oc description.
isn't it funny how the characters you create just take on a life of their own after a while? i created this small side character but once i started writing, he just came to life and now i consider him one of the leading men.
it feels like relationships between characters take on a life of their own as well. i remember how i thought about the relationship between one of the leading ladies and one of the leading men in my story for a long, long time. and i'm all like, "oh no! i have to write their story! the world must know their story! i owe it to them to make their story known! gonk " um... yeah...
sudden computer deaths hurt ;_;. whenever my computer melts down, i usually get into a mad rush to get it working again. "oh, i have to wipe my hard drive clean? no problem!" i miss that 400-page story.

this dog is a nutter... i swear, when it hits 9pm he thinks its playtime.. when its "relaxing /getting ready for bed time". Silly doggy rofl

Here's a tip for future computer deaths. sweatdrop Unless your harddrive is physically damaged or you intentionally wipe it, you'll be able to grab your data off of the harddrive, provided you have a) a second harddrive, or b) a second computer and an enclosure for the harddrive.
So much data is needlessly deleted all the time ;_;
Edit: And if any of you were to ever want to call my phone and have me walk you through it, I totally wouldn't mind. xd
Edit 2: Of course, this doesn't cover 100% of situations. You could corrupt a partition, etc. But for the majority of situations (especially those which happen upon the casual computer user), you can get your data back quite easily. 3nodding

My characters are my mind buddies. I create their personalities and they end up writing their own stories as I imagine them encountering other characters and situations. Sometimes I "role play" as them on my Gaia mules and such, but in those cases I pretend that they're using their own Gaia accounts instead of acting out stories for them in a forum.
The only RP OC's I have are for the FFVII Midgar sim on Second Life, which takes place before the start of Crisis Core. But all of my characters are hardly serious, because I only hang out there because my boyfriend does.
One of my characters is a 6 year old orphan girl named Carnelian Chalcedony, who's parents got "eated" by a Hellhouse. Now she wanders the slums, bothering people by asking awkward questions and trying to convince them to let her join ShinRa/AVALANCHE so she can get weapons and beat the Hellhouse into spitting her parents back up.
The other character is an 18 year old girl named Tourmaline Schorl who works at a coffee shop on the upper plate called The Chubby Chocobo. She gives people stupid nicknames and dances behind the counter as she listens to her "SHiNPod". She also has a crush on a female 2nd Class Soldier named Oni (played by my boyfriend) and puts extra whipped cream on her Cafe Mocha just so she gets to see it on her face.
I also play Random Encounters that I made. For Valentines day, we did a "Cupidberry" event where Tonberries dressed like cupids went around the city doinking people with arrows which cast charm. I ended up arrowing Rufus Shinra and he spent the night trying to get into the pants of everyone in the tower...
I don't RP my original story characters because I can't RP drama, only comedy.
