And I don't think that you see it as a straight or gay thing, but I'm not pissed at you. I'm pissed at the writer of the article, who felt the need to bring it up when it was completely unnecessary.

S/He doesn't blatantly say anything, but he doesn't have to. It's pretty clear why s/he thinks the movie's turned out this way.

You know, this may come across as racist/discriminatory as hell, but I dont care. Why is it that blacks and gays go out of their way to see everything as against them? Whites, Mexicans, straights, and my people could see MANY things against them, but it seems that blacks and gays make the most noise about any perceived slight. Why is that?

I'm done, I'm ******** done. Goodnight. ********. I hope you open your eyes at some point Kyle. I really do.

Oh dont hand me that simplistic bullshit. That might work in ED, but not on me. Its in human nature to be seperatist, and you know it as well as I do. From caste systems, to racism, to simple have vs have-not jealousy, discrimination is hard-wired.

Don't give me that weak willed defeatist s**t either. lol I'll be progressive until I die.

I don't see everything against me. I see the irrelevant pointing out of his sexuality as what it is--irrelevant. It has no bearing to the context of the article. He could make a chick flick about superheroes if he was straight, or gay, or anything. It just doesn't matter.

That they feel the need to point it out suggests that it's their explanation for why he made a chick flick.

What pisses me off most is that it was intentional. Take that one word out, and the article's tone about the movie doesn't change. But with it there, it spins the article into a suggestion.

It doesn't need to be there. Why put it unless they want to be inflammatory?

I try no to see everything as against me either. However, if every time I saw BET or NAACP, or Minutemen as a slight or inflamatory, Id have a heart attack every day.

It has no bearing, but its pointed out in the media just as much as race and country of origin.

Saying a defendent is black, gay, or foreign, its just as offensive, just as wrong, and it just keeps happening.

Doesnt change the message of the article, Superman Returns is good, but not great.

I'm not arguing with the message of the article. I'm arguing with its explanation. I'm arguing with the phrase, "the gay director..."

They didn't say, "the caucasian, middle-aged, brown-haired director..."

They didn't say, "the gay jewish director..."

They didn't say, "the director..."

None of those identifyers mean anything in regards to the movie, but they're using one of them anyway. Why?

Hey, I dont give a ******** about your labels. I am who I am, and the world is what it is. Doesnt mean I care to change it, or your opinion/stance. Doesnt change the fact the majority are seperatist at their roots.
