LOL HAY GUYS, MY SMALL SMALL CITY WAS MENTIONED IN THE GAIA ANNOUNCEMENT.
I'll be taking photos of Woonsocket, RI, for all of Gaia's enjoyment. 3nodding

Hmm... Roseburg isn't that small of a city. Rather pretty city. Should have picked Newport, much smaller just as pretty. Island City isn't even near the ocean, it is in Eastern Oregon! And I've never even heard of it. rofl

I've driven through at least four of those towns, and I've been through Olean, NY on many occasions.
The traveler in me is pissed at Gaia for making fun of small/obscure towns. What they fail to realize is that Walmarts, no matter WHERE they are, get tons of shopping traffic because people are willing to travel a long way to shop there.
And there's plenty of evidence that Moraine, Ohio exists. All you had to do was wiki it. Way to fail, Cindy. I'm even wondering if Moraine, Ohio was named after an actual moraine (a long pile of sediment that's formed by glaciers) since Ohio is a very glacially sculpted place.
Either way, I'm anti-Walmart and wouldn't go there for cash cards even if I was near one.

Malee Island City isn't even near the ocean, it is in Eastern Oregon! And I've never even heard of it. rofl Island City was once located on a real island in between a river and a slough/wetland area, until the water in the wetland was diverted and it dried up. If you look at the satellite view of the town on Google maps, you can tell where the wetland used to be.

there's a rumor that target will open a store in my city also... but that rumor's been around for over five years now, and we still don't have a target. rawr.
i don't like wal-mart myself, but it's unavoidable because it's really hard to buy certain stuff elsewhere. i do my shopping for clothes and shoes online though. i also buy as many other things online as possible, provided i can get free shipping.
yes, it's quite uncool of gaia to make fun of small towns. methinks the people who were involved with those announcements have not lived in small towns.

Psh, I'm more glad that Gaia (hell, anybody) put realization that the cities even exist though. xd Nobody knows where the heck I live when I say "Woonsocket" and sometimes are baffled at the mention of "Rhode Island."
Lots of times I get "Wait, you live on an ISLAND?!"
Over here we've got Target, Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, and CVS (the last of which has it's HQ in my city). I like Wal-Mart because they have lots of cheap (as in price) clothing there. I can get a whole mess of solid color tshirts and thick fuzzy socks for nice and low prices. :3
Saving money >>>>> higher quality items. ;3
