WoW was made to run on low end systems so Blizzard could get as many customers as possible. Pentium 4s were introduced late 2000, so I'm sure you've got one of those. I've been on your computer before, too, remember? It didn't seem like it had less that 512MB of RAM. If by some sliver of a chance you do have less than that, I'll eat my shorts. xd

If the game doesn't meet the minimum specs, it just won't install, and it'll tell you you don't meet the requirements.

You could also check how much RAM you have by right clicking on My Computer, and clicking Properties, and it'll show how much RAM you have. (This will also show processor information.)

Evey also doesn't seem to know what a crash actually is. xd If your computer freezes, that's considered a crash, and a simple reboot will have it working just fine again. Attempting to install and play WoW would have like a zero chance of rendering the computer unusable.
