Where I live we have a burn ban, but I think tomorrow the city is doing something this weekend.
The guys I watched did some Zeppelin, Rush...I can't remember the rest anymore. I had been drinking during XD

DarkKingJilly Went to a free, local concert. Band was called Hairball and they were a cover band as well. They covered Prince, Van Halen, Motely Crue, Guns N' Roses, Whitesnakes, QUEEN, Alice Cooper, Ozzy, and several more popular hair metal bands. The crowd didn't seem to energetic but damn, I was having a blast. Strolled downtown and got my drink on. Met up with some friends, did some dancing, met a couple of nice girls, met some of my customers, and got to know some co-workers better. Came home, apparently cooked dinner for myself then I crashed after eating. So my 4th was okay. ;D Sounds like... cool You got your Jilly on. YEAHHHHHH~!!!! LadyDraka Where I live we have a burn ban, but I think tomorrow the city is doing something this weekend. The guys I watched did some Zeppelin, Rush...I can't remember the rest anymore. I had been drinking during XD Drinking FTW~ So there's still a ban in that area? I think ours was lifted due to the sudden rains we got pummeled with for like..4 days.

The amount of fires that have been showing up is insane, though. Not gonna lie. It feels like there's at least one every year, and generally every other year there's two.
I think it was last year that the massive fire illuminated the mountains. Quite the sight.
There's only one explanation....

I'm sorry I keep flitting in and out. I've sort of lost interest and I'm tied up judging AND participating in this tournament. Plus my attention shifted Raven to Sigil to tie in the whole "find Lucas' book" plot, and she just survived a major a** beating. It's just bothersome to keep getting into this story, only for it to change or start over or whatever it is that keeps happening. We go for months and months and months of no action to suddenly being slung-shot forward and then people are lost in the confusion of sudden activity. It's getting too difficult to keep up with at the moment and I've generally drifted away from pretty much everyone but Kira anyway.
I dunno. Just tired of key people disappearing, reappearing, thus putting s**t on hold, thus things getting delayed, thus s**t starting over or rebooting. Kinda ruins it for the rest of us sitting around twiddling our thumbs wanting to get some action in when we can't, then when we finally find something to do elsewhere, s**t starts up again in a whole new way. Now I find myself having lost interest all over again because in a few months probably the same thing will happen again. Been with this Guild for...I 'unno...a year and a half? Two years or so. Vicious cycle. I'll eventually get back into the fray but. I'm burnt out for now.

Understandable.
Those issues you brought up are the very reason we've changed things up this time around. We won't be relying so much on "key players" to drive the plot forward for so many of us.
We're trying something new because as you pointed out this cycle keeps happening. Before the story gave us the option of going in any direction we wanted. Now it should be easier to engage or detach from anyone if someone becomes inactive. We'll see how it goes.
Regardless, do what you gotta do. *shrug*

Of course who is going to listen to me?
Trust me, stuff like this happens all the time, but I do understand. It's one of few reasons why I decided to leave a long time ago. But please don't give up on my dream of making this one of the longest lasting roleplays out there. I felt bad when I gave up. I had to rely on lead characters to drive the ship, but I didn't create this for that reason. I want everyone to help make this plot. I mean look at me, I'm the creator of this entire thing that I started when I was 14/15 years old. I'm about to turn 22.
It just takes time, and if leaving for a little bit helps get you driven to roleplay again, then so be it. I did the same thing. I got burned out. And tired of someone posting like they ran the show...

I agree with you, Draka.
Sometimes we need to get away from all of this...rather or not we intend to come back or not.
I'd rather have someone come in with renewed motivation and a fresh mind instead of pushing through after burning out.
Hell, if it weren't for this Guild I probably wouldn't be too motivated to roleplay. I haven't found another thread I genuinely want to participate in.
