Time had never been their friend when it came to talks like this. Sometimes the silence and awkwardness could last a few hours, then others days. While Samuel couldn't hold Micha captive, he worried about how long it would be before he saw him again. But if time and space were what Micha needed, who was he to deny him that right. Truth be told, Samuel probably needed some time as well. He could sit here and say he was fine with everything that he had just learned, but those were just words. He hadn't sat with it long enough to truly sink in and access what had been done.
Sitting beside the male, the minutes passed, and he was feeling a little antsy. He wanted to help, but was unsure how. And so, he offered something in the only way that he could. It wasn't much, but he was sure that Micha would appreciate the offer. As Micha accepted his offer, Samuel nodded. "I'll get right on that." he replied as he sat up in the bed. Slipping his legs down the side, he then stood and moved towards the door. He turned to leave but paused, glancing back at the male. "Just the coffee? I've got other stuff too if you want...maybe some snacks?"

Try as he might, he could not force him to stay. Deep down, Samuel knew it was for the best that they each take some time to collect themselves. So far, nothing was written in stone that this was a permanent situation, and he had to believe that Micha would eventually come back to him. Whether it would be hours, days, or weeks remained to be seen. It for the best that he not get too caught up in the what-ifs and focus on his routine. Tonight, there was work to done. He would go, he would talk, he would flatter, and with luck, he would make enough that they could do it all over again the next night. Getting up from the bed, Samuel walked towards the doorway only to soon pause. He glanced back and asked if there was anything else he might want. He watched as Micha smiled, and assured him that the coffee was enough. Nodding, he turned his back once more and moved into the hallway.
Moving through the house, Samuel took his time on the stairs. When he reached the ground floor, he walked in the all too familiar direction of the kitchen. Once in there, he flipped on the lights and grabbed two mugs from the cabinet. Samuel went through the motions of refilling the reservoir with water, taking out the used pod, and replacing it with another. After sticking one mug under the spout and hitting a few buttons, he left the machine to do it's thing. While he waited, he padded towards the laundry room, figuring the clothes he had washed earlier should be ready for the dryer. Flipping on another switch, he found the washer to be done as he expected. Samuel moved closer to the machine and opened the door to remove the wet bundle only to place it in the machine right next to it. Setting the clothes inside, he then tossed in a dryer sheet, and closed the door.
After setting the timer and hitting the start button, Samuel returned to the kitchen. The mug he had left under the Keurig was steaming and ready to be removed. Taking that one for himself, he set it aside and replaced the other mug in its place. Just as before, he removed the used pod and replaced it with another. After hitting a few buttons, Samuel moved to the fridge. He wasn't sure how much creamer Micha would want in his coffee, but surely he could pour enough to make it somewhat to his liking. Taking it to the counter, he set it down and traded it for the pack of cigarettes he'd left down here. He pulled one out, and slipped it between his lips. He then grabbed for the lighter and brought it to the tip, inhaling deeply.
The burning smoke calmed him and he allowed it to fill his lungs. Holding it for a moment, he then slowly released. Behind him, the Keurig gurgled, signaling that it was done. Turning around, Samuel took a spoon from the drawer as well as the mug, and moved them both to the island. Flipping back the top, he poured out a few splashes, watching as the coffee became only slightly lighter. He questioned himself if that was enough, then added a little more. Stirring it in, coffee went from black to medium brown to light brown. That seemed maybe right. Hopefully he hadn't just ruined a whole cup of coffee. He supposed he would find out. After putting the creamer back in the fridge, he then picked up the mugs as well as the pack of cigarettes. Samuel took his time walking through the hallway and back upstairs.

Downstairs Samuel busied himself with laundry and making their coffees. By the time he had finished nearly ten minutes had passed. He wasn't trying to stall by doing a few extra chores, merely lazy and not wanting to make more trips than needed up and down the stairs. With the drinks finished and his cigarettes pocketed, Samuel left the kitchen and made his way into the hallway. As careful as he could be, he walked the steaming mugs through the house and up the stairs, stopping a few times to avoid spilling. After another minute or so, he returned to his bedroom with the mugs in hand. "Sorry about the wait." he said, cigarette bobbing between his lips. Coming around the bed, he handed one mug to Micha. "Here's hoping I got this is to your liking."

Coming back into the room, everything was as he left it. He looked towards the bed to find Micha on his phone, though he quickly hid it away as he approached. Samuel was curious and wanted to ask if it was anything important, but didn't want to seem nosey. Moving around the bed, he offered the male his drink, smiling at his thanks. Bringing his hand to his lips, he took hold of the cigarette between his lips and turned his head to release the smoke. Glancing back he watched as Micha took a taste sip. When he seemed pleased, he proceeded to move back towards his own side of the bed, careful not to bounce too much as he sat down. Switching the cigarette to his other hand, Samuel reached into his pocket and, pulled out both the pack, and the lighter. "Here, I wasn't sure if you might want one of these. So I brought up another pack." he said, setting the items between them.

Micha was free to have his secrets, whether he was trying to hide them or not. Samuel would not ask him what was on his phone or whom he might have been talking to. If he wanted to tell him then that was his choice. After handing off his coffee, Samuel moved to his own spot in bed. While making himself comfortable, he dug out the pack of cigarettes and lighter to share. He knew that Micha wasn't the biggest smoker, certainly not compared to himself. But he had a feeling that as of right now he might need one. Samuel sipped at his own coffee as the male moved beside him. From the corner of his eye, he watched as Micha grabbed for the items and pulling one out. Samuel said nothing as he turned to take the ashtray from the night stand and set that between them as well. He flicked his own against the side, letting a few ashes fall before bringing it back to his lips. Beside him, he heard the male breathing deep. A moment later he was surrounded by smoke. He didn't mind, after all he was the one who provided Micha the cigarettes. Blowing out his own, he set his cigarette in the tray to return his attention to the still steaming cup of coffee.

Samuel assumed that if there was something to share, Micha would have told him. But since he said nothing, he didn't bother asking. Samuel couldn't say that he would be particularly bothered in knowing that it was Grisha messaging him. They had only met the one time, and he knew him to be Micha's friend. If not his only friend. So he didn't want to get in the way of that. Besides, he wasn't sure how much more conversation the male could take just at this moment. He would much rather him have his peace and relax than to annoy him with his endless prattle.
Leaning back against the headboard Samuel continued to sip his coffee while Micha smoked beside him. Despite the quiet between them, he could say that he was starting to feel a little calmer. Though he wondered if the same could be said for Micha. Glancing towards him, he saw him flick his cigarette against the ashtray then slipping the filter back between his lips. Turning his attention away, Samuel picked up his own phone. He hadn't gotten any responses to his work emails and there wasn't much else that needed to be done until the club opened. Like Micha, his own phone was dying as well. He couldn't remember when the last time he charged it was. Perhaps sometime while he was working or right before Micha came over, he couldn't recall. Setting the device back down, he glanced again towards the man. "What are you doing tonight?" he asked randomly.

Calm wasn't exactly the right word as he felt more defeated. He didn't know what else to say to improve their situation and didn't want to push anymore than he already was. He didn't know if it was the same for Micha, he was certain he wouldn't tell him if he did. As he sat there, Samuel quietly smoked, drank his coffee, and checked his phone. There wasn't much going on to keep him distracted so he set the device back down. A couple more minutes passed before Samuel said something. Unlike Micha, the silence was killing him. It felt as though he were being punished.
Glancing towards Micha, he watched as he turned slightly only to shrug. Samuel nodded, not at all denying that he had work. It was an obvious fact, he hardly ever took off. "I-yeah, I am." he replied. "I'm not trying to kick you out just yet, but if you would you like a ride back? Or maybe I could drop you somewhere?"
