Man, my mom's FINALLY getting around to making my kimono after promising me it several months ago. Now I find out that it's only a costume and it's held together with Velcro.
*grumble*

Question for everyone. I've been seriously thinking about becoming a teacher. (Either Science or Art) Do you guys think I would be a decent teacher? I know most of you dont know me in real life... but... agh! I dont know where I'm going with this. I'm just trying to get an opinion.

that depends, vin. can you deal with stupid questions on a regular basis? how about snotty students? how are you at public speaking? time management? are you good at thinking on your feet?
those are just some aspects of teaching that i know have turned off some people to being a teacher altogether.
evaluating myself as a teacher, i would answer no to all of the above. but i unwittingly put myself into a situation where one of the best jobs is to teach (college professor). and i am getting used to stupid questions/snotty students/public speaking/time management/thinking on my feet. it takes practice. there are some days when teaching feels great. there are some days when i feel like i've been hit by all eight tentacles of an octopus.
hope this helps ^^.

If you want to teach younger kids the list gets a little longer. While like cardi said, it does take practice, some people just have a natural gift for it. My friend is a teacher and she is wonderful at it and truthfully, I don't think it was practice for her, it seems more like a natural gift she has. Also to remember to add on all the things that happens outside the classroom.

Miriam The Bat Man, my mom's FINALLY getting around to making my kimono after promising me it several months ago. Now I find out that it's only a costume and it's held together with Velcro. *grumble* While not as cool as a real one that is still pretty awesome! ^^ I'm trying to learn to sew so I can make one... Simplicity has a pretty good kimono pattern that looks pretty authentic... I think it costs about 10 bucks...

Well, we're almost moved in to our new apartment complex, we just have a few more boxes to move and then we have to to clean the rest of the of the carpets. I'm starting to deal better with the loss of Mr. J, it still hurts but time does heal wounds. We are actually going to meet a new ferret today. Someone at Pete's work center has a 6 month old baby albino ferret that she no longer wishes to have. So hopefully we'll have a playmate for Harle soon. Well, i'm going to go get some more things taken care of and get my computer up and running soon ( on a friend's right now). I'll see you guys when I get back on <3

I'm pretty decent about time management. With the age group, I'm not all to sure about yet either, I would either want to teach like 6-7 grade science or 10-12 science or art.

yush, there are people who have the talent for teaching.
i'm not one of those people gonk . i was one of those jaded, why-am-i-here-again students, and that attitude is now coming back to bite me in the butt.
vin, if your college/university has public speaking courses, it might be worth checking them out. i took a public speaking course in college, which helped. the rest is practice and experience. i still get a little anxious right before a class, but i suppose that's pretty common among people who are just starting out teaching (it's my first time to teach full-time).
@bridge: i'm glad you're starting to deal better with the passing of your beloved pet. i'm sorry you're going through this, but like what everybody else said, mr. j is in a better place now.
@jen: as far as i know, the only recent mtv stuff are those released in the stores. unless i'm missing something myself?
so many new store items! gonk heart heart i want them all!
