Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart (( Its fine. XD;; )) She stood quiet, her expression changed and her eyes downcast. She could hear him, even with his soft voice.
"Your...mother....." she repeatedly softly, looking back at him, giving him her attention.(( i make small posts. .__.;; ))
He continued with his story.
"She got very ill when I was about Eleven. She didn't leave anything behind, except for this. She was on her death bed when she gave it to me. She told me to 'always look after it' as she paced it in my hand. Those were the last words I heard her speak..." He trailed off. His eyes remained dry, unable to produce any tears, though he was weeping on the inside.
And then I came to live here...all alone...
"..I..I'm so sorry..." She said softly at him. Green eyes downcast, then back at him. She walks up to him and hugs him, giving him the only support she can think of at the moment. This was very hard to not only think of, but to say as well. While someone may not be visibly crying, they could feel worse on the inside.
"I'm sorry.." She repeated again, hugging him tighter.
He was a bit caught off guard when she wrapped her arms around him, but he was immensely relieved when he felt the contact. An immense weight had been lifted from his shoulder the moment she touched him. He paused and then wrapped his arms about her waist tightly, clinging to her. It felt good to hold someone like this; it had been too long. He his his face in her shoulder, taking a deep breath, inhaling her scent as he did so. He let his air out long and slow, giving her a small squeeze. Lifting his head slightly, he left his mouth open so he could talk without being muffled.
"Chloe..." He spoke quietly.
"Yes Cross?" She replies, curious to see what else he had to say.((@Kizu: 3nodding Welcome Home! ))
He pulled back and looked at her with soft eyes, smiling a little. He took the locket, unfastening the chain gently. He lifted the locket to her neck, letting his fingers brush her neck gently as he moved his hands behind it, fastening the locket again. He pulled his hands away and looked at it, now fastened around Chloe's neck. He smiled, because it looked wonderful on her. The chain was at a length so that it fell upon the center of her chest, not too short, not too long. The golden heart shone lightly on her chest. He looked up at her, smiling still.
"It looks wonderful on you," He said almost sadly.
"..I..I can't take this Cross...Its yours...thi, this is something precious to you..an.." she stammers. Not that she was ungrateful to him or anything, but this is a precious item of value to him....it shouldn't be given away just like this.
"this..is too important.." She continues, glancing at the floor and at his face, her eyes tearing up a little.

It felt good to embrace and to be embraced, it was a nice, warm feeling. One that she rarely had in her life as well. Cross felt warm and safe, feeling a sense of comfort as well. She broke out of her small thoughts when she heard her name being called out.
"Yes Cross?" She replies, curious to see what else he had to say.((@Kizu: 3nodding Welcome Home! ))
He pulled back and looked at her with soft eyes, smiling a little. He took the locket, unfastening the chain gently.
