Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart She glances back at him, noticing he had the book in his hands as he stares at it intently, almost as if he was zoning out. She didn't know if she should say something right now, to break him out of his thoughts, but the awkward silence was starting to get to her a bit.
She sighs a bit before saying, "I..Is that...the book?" she spoke out softly, almost as if she was afraid to break his thoughts.
((Time for me to take my leave. Night night. ^^))
He nodded slightly. He gripped the cover tightly for a moment before sighing and opening it. Instead of there being pages of words inside, a small square compartment had been cut out of the center. Inside of it, something glistened. He reached his hand to the small compartment, taking out the object with care. He closed his hand around it and snapped the book shut, throwing it to the ground. He opened his hand and pushed the object gently around on his palm. When he moved his hand out of the way, the object was revealed. It was a small locket, shaped like a heart, made of pristine gold, with a thin golden chain coiled up around it. He let out a very small sigh, staring at it.
"I...its beautiful.." she breathes out softly, still looking at the locket.
He held it up to the light and stared at it for a moment, letting it dangle by the thin chain.
"It is, isn't it," He replied.
She looks at Cross, wanting to ask him about it, but she didn't know if she'll be prying or not, so she looks back down at the locket.
ooc: WHOOPS. I completely missed the post again. LOL.

He took the locket in his fingers and rubbed at the front of it, giving it a little polishing with his glove, although it was unneeded. In small script writing, there were initials on it, barely visible, almost rubbed away. The initials were: J.M.
"It belonged to my mother...," He said quietly.
