Arlen didn't move, he didn't even relax. Nor did he say anything. To say that he didn't regard Vincent as trustworthy would be a bit of an understatement.

"Ukaia..." he called, now looking rather sorrowful. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Look... can't we just talk?" he pleaded, then shot an annoyed look at Arlen, realizing that he was beginning to dislike the boy. "I won't hurt you, I swear..."

Ukaia hesatated then nibbled her bottom lip and timidly stepped form behind River
"May I mistress river?" she asked her..uncertinally.

Ukaai hesatently came down the stairs. She didn't feel threatned by Vincent.. a little.. hurt oddly enough. but not threatned. She'd just panicked at the thought of.. owning somone.

Arlen reluctantly lets Ukaia pass, but doesn't give Vincent an opening at River. If he wanted to attack someone, Arlen was determined to get in the way.

Vincent gave her a small smile, the rage now contained. It might explode later, under the right circumstances, but for now he kept it leashed for her sake. "I am sorry... I was just so surprised. I... didn't handle this well." he told her awkwardly.
Lily simply continued to watch from her vantage point, rather interested. "Hmm..."

Ukaia nodded a tiney bit and then nibbled her bottom lip as she looked at him. But the only thing that came to mind.. the only memory was.. a pain.. a betrayal. And she didnt want to tell him that.
"It's.. it's ok.. it just.. i.. i can't.. " she stuttered a little then looked away
"o.. owning somone.. else" she finally got out and then shook her head rapidly
"The thought makes me ill"s eh finally spat out

Lily finally moved, crossing to Arlen and lightly taking hold of his arm. "I think he's got it under control now." she whispered, looking between the two males.

Arlen stands firm a little while longer. "Fine," he says eventually putting an arm around Lily.

Ukaia nodded a little bit then looked up at vincent and frowned
"When i look at you i feel.. hurt.." she said puzzled
"I dont' .. remember anything but a hurt " she said completely confused as to why. She didn't understand it. Especially if he had ment the her owning him in the other way. as in.. love
"Why do you make me hurt inside?" she asked him quietly nibbling her bottom lip ancirously

Lily gave Arlen a quick hug, thanking him silently, then sighed. "Well... that could have sucked..."
Vincent closed his eyes, then took a step backwards. "I... I had to disappear." he answered, stone-faced now, emotions locked inside. "And I couldn't tell you. I just... I just left. I imagine that's why."

"Are you hungry?" Arlen asked, wanting to get out of the same room as Vincent now that he wasn't going to attack anybody anytime soon.
