WylrPnufh Skaeryll So I thought of something kinda cool for my pokemon game... those stupid gems instead of being like a one time boost or whatever they'd in my game change the pokemon's typing that holds it. So like an example would be like... giving a Squirtle the Fighting Gem would make it a Water/Fighting type so it would have all the weaknesses and strengths of a fighting type except you wouldn't get STABs from Fighting moves. Like Arceus, but they keep their original type? Also, what about dual-types? There sub type would be replaced.

Golurk is slow, and has tons of weaknesses, but 3 uneffectives is Awesome. And your first one may not exactly COUNTER Fighting, but you've got two Pokemon who can take fighting well. Chandelure and Jellicent. I do like your bottom team better though, but Trick Room is rough to pull off, I feel like. I do think your bottom one would be more effective though. Also, speaking of Trick Room. I've got an Alakazam/Shuckle battle I'm working on, but I need to evolve my Kadabra, but I need Aniu for it, since I have the WiFi problems. Double Battle. Alakazam and Shuckle. Alakazam + Spd Shuckle + Def Alakazam uses Trick Room first, but the speeds go on, and Shuckle keeps his Speed low. Other Pokemon attack, don't kill Shuckle. Shuckle Gets to move first, but has NO DEFENSE, so it's a tad counterable by Quick Attacks. Earthquake/Rock Slide (Kills both) Opinions?

And yu'd think so, being part ghost right? Then I realized/remembered that a lot of Fighting types have access to Rock and/or Ground moves, which bury Chandelure, and they all seem to be able to learn Payback, which is nasty against any ghost, although Jellicent's low speed and use of Will-o-Wisp helps fight that.
And the gems aren't all bad as they are right now. The Flight Gem in particular is great with Acrobatics. Using the move consumes the Gem and boosts the power, and then Acro's secondary effect kicks in and doubles it further. Pokemon with Unburden get a similar effect.
