I've never seen it spam me with PMs, unless you're talking about system messages like, " Listing Sold " " Remember that note you wrote in... " etc.

I get spammed with those Best In Bottle messages almost every day.
Not really complaining, since each one means I got 250 gold, but it was annoying when it was those items instead. I kept thinking, " FFS, I already got those things. Just give me gold. " and they eventually did change it to gold instead, so it's not really an issue anymore.
Sometimes it's funny though. I get voted Best In Bottle for some of the more retarded responses I make.

Man, the bottle things gave out so much gold when they first started doing it. before they nerfed it, you could get like 10x the gold doing bottles than doing booty grab

Originally you could only reply to so many bottles. I know, because even like 2 weeks after it's released, I can reply for about 30 minutes and then there's this, " There's no more bottles. " thing.
Now, there's like an infinite number, you just stop getting anything beyond 3 gold per bottle after about 20.
