Ukaia hesatatd then timidly took his hand and placed it on her ear nuzzling it lightly
"i'm sorry.. it hurts you.. when i draw back like that" she whispered soflty then looke at him
"I'm.. terrafied" she said finally admiting what was eating her
"E.. everyone here. they say they know me. know somone.. who is f.. f.. "s he stuttered over the word and wasn't able to say it
"who is.. not a slave.. and.. acts.. but.. I would never.. I could.. never do that.. any of it.. I'm a slave.. in birth.. and life.. and till i die.. it's.. the only thing i am.." she said to him trembling a bit

Arlen comes downstairs in a less than cheery mood. Half of the reason was he was worried about Lily, and the other half was because of who was returning that night. He didn't even greet anyone before heading into the kitchen to get something to eat before he looses his appetite, or so he has a reason not to talk to V.... He wasn't sure what reason it was.

Ritsuko continued to lean against him, "All chocolate is good chocolate." She said as if it were some sort of ancient proverb. She shrugged, eyes lulling comfortably. "I've yet to meet any that I didn't like."
Tomo smiled warmly at her and started to scratch her ear again. "Aww, Uka..." He bit his lower lip. "Even if you don't get your memories back, you'll learn how to be comfortable here, again." He assured her. His ears went limp as he thought about it. Their relationship was gone. The she spent here, were gone. Sure, she called him 'Onii-san', but she didn't mean it. He wished River hadn't told her to call him that. This wasn't Ukaia, his little sister. This was Ukaia, the slave.

"Ahh, I see." he said, reaching over and stealing a piece before she could bat his hand away. Popping it in his mouth, he closed his eyes happily and let it melt in his mouth. "Mmm.. " he muttered, and yawned, stretching his arms, the returning the one to her, and the other to his side. "I'm getting sleepy.. I should take this stuff back down stairs, and head to bed soon.." he said, rubbing at his eye in a childish manner.

Ukaia leaned into the petting letting the action sooth her before she said timidly
"I know MIstress told me to call you it but.. what does Onii san mean anyway?" she aske dhim soflty
"It feels important.. everytime i call you it" she added uncertinally trying to calm herself down.. concentrate on something that wasnt.. this person they said she was. A person who should be hurt terrably by ownrs for what they said she did. THat though completely terrafied her. What kind of pain had she ben in.. every day. What was the price she'd payed for.. there.. freedome.

Arlen came out a moment later with a plate of chicken stir fry and a glass of milk. "Hey Tomo, Ukaia," he greets to two glumly before he sits at the bar and starts eating.

Ritsuko nodded and sat up, "Yeah, maybe you should." She murmured, stretching a bit. She smiled at him. "Thanks for thinking of me, by the way." She said.
Tomo frowned a little, "Well, it means 'older brother'... That's what you used to call me." He took a deep breath, "But I don't want you to call me that until you get your memory of me back, okay?" He said. It wasn't so much a request as an order. "I... I know we keep telling you what and what not to say, but we're just as confused as you are." He said, stroking the other ear, now.

Ukaai blinked a fw times then grimiced as flashes ran though her head then she stopped shorta nd reached up touchign the collar
"you bought that for me" she said quietly blinking a few more times and wincing
"But.. a.. alright.. i wont'.. till i remember if you.. tell mistress?" she begged him quietly

He stood, and kissed the top of her head, before gathering the things up and onto the tray. He set the vase of dandelions on the side table, next to her bed, and took everything else with him. He wanted to say, "I'll be back." but, he wasn't sure if that was appropriate. Instead, he leaned in the doorframe, and smiled. "I'll be back up to say goodnight, just a couple minutes." he said, smiling and winking. "Don't run away, now." He definitely tried to live up to being silly, as everyone told him he was. Again, the concept of him being a grown man was still alien to him. He hopped down the stairs two at a time, and set the dishes in the sink, and tossed the empty chocolate wrapper. Putting the tray back in the kitchen, he headed back up the stairs. Instead of going to her room, where he had left the door open, he headed to his own and changed into his pajamas.
Once in a t-shirt and pajama pants, he walked across the hall, and leaned in the frame. "Sleep well, Ritsuko." he said, with a smile.

"I'd rather not talk about it, but I'm not to excited about someone who's supposed to be coming back tonight," he said a bit curtly before returning to his food.

Tomo touched the collar as well and nodded, "Yeah! It was supposed to be your Christmas present." he said, then nodded, "And I'll be sure to tell River." He added before looking up at Arlen, "If it is who I think it is, it might do us a world of good." He said, "Although I understand your displeasure."
Ritsuko looked up from her bed after having put her glasses and book away, "Good night Aerric." She replied, smiling as she blew a kiss.

He sneered, and blew an overdramatic kiss back at her, and laughed softly, as he bowed, and shut the door. After a few seconds of standing there, he opened it again and poked his head in. "Don't be afraid to knock on my door if you have nitemares." he added, and gave her a reassuring smile, before heading back to his room and climbing in his bed, extra blankets and all.

"Well if it doesn't help I hope you'll understand if I turn in early," Arlen said, slowing down the pace at which he was eating to try and make the food last as long as possible.

Ritsuko laughed and shook her head, "Good night, goofball." she said to the door, unsure if he heard her. She stood and pulled her day clothes off to exchange them for pajamas before she too climbed into bed. Within a few minutes, she was asleep.
