"We don;t get the results back right away, and those home check ones don't work, really." she admits. "Mum said that when she was pregnant with me, it came back negative on the home one..."

"Well, there's probably been a bit of technical advance since then, but I'd rather the more definite one anyways." They could spend all night talking about these things, but that would probably verge on depressing, and it would certainly be stressful, so he decides to change the topic a little, "Have you had supper yet?"

Corri blinks a bit. His first inclination is to feel a bit offended that she would tell Billy first... but judging by how shaken up she is, it's probably a good thing she talked to someone. Still, he has to ask, "You'd have told me first if I'd been in town, right?"

She looks at him and nods. "But I had to tell someone. I wanted it to be you..." she says, tears leaking out again. "I needed to talk to someone face to face and Billy's still my best friend..."

"Yeah, ok." He can't quite reach her phone from where he's sitting, so he grabs it and goes back to his spot. He doesn't need to leave the room for this kind of phone call, and he'd rather not leave Rave at all right now. He calls Billy.
