"Oh," Sabe said disdainfully, "No wonder. I wasn't there to see it."
He didn't have a clue of what was going on, mainly because he had to stay up in Serole and keep it in check. His son was down here with the gang more than he was, so it was better to have him help. Sabe got his phone out and called him.

"... Hello? Yes, Carter, this is your father. Good to know you aren't wreaking havoc right now. Your friends at HQ need you right now. ...? Someone was kidnapped. ....... If I knew my way around Durem, I'd go with them. .... You try staying holed up in a castle, then. ..... Get down here and don't give me any more mouth."
Sabe hung up the phone and sighed. He IS his mother's son.

"I'm not much use to you, Pen, so I'll be out of here. However, Carter's coming down here in a bit. I was really here to find Luciano for diplomatic reasons, but I've.... stumbled across the wrong one." he said, glancing at 'past' Luciano before leaving and using his phone to teleport back home.

Irwin re-materialized elsewhere. He spun around to see if Sabe was around, but didn't see anything but the world around him, which was dreamlike.

The sky in this world was a constant deep purple color, like an eggplant, and the dirt was a dull red color. Poppy flowers and sometimes hemp would grow in patches. Mushrooms grew near the indigo-colored trees. Something like water would come up through the ground until it was three or four inches deep and sink back down at regular intervals, like waves on a beach but vertically. The smell of it was intoxicating. There was an old mansion in the distance that was isolated on a small island.... or was that a huge moat surrounding it? Then Irwin noticed that it was raining over there. Like, literally pouring. There weren't clouds to be seen anywhere, but Irwin traced the rain's path and saw a massive kraken-like thing, the illithid larva, stuck in the sky. There were cracks in the sky all around it, as if the sky was just a glass dome. Irwin couldn't tell due to distance, but light blue fluid leaked from the cracks in the sky and rained down on the manor.

He was caught up in the scenery and didn't notice someone behind him. A bony finger tapped his shoulder, and someone spoke in his ear. "Nice, isn't it?"

Future Pen nodded and then look back at the group. "We have more than enough though. With three blasts from the past and the double of me, they won't know what hit them."

Pen then lead the group over to a nearby shack. It looked pretty run down and when they entered a man was taking a nap on the counter. Pen just shook her head and pushed the guy off so he rolled off and landed on the floor. The man then woke straight up and stood to meet his guests.

"Morning Doc."

The man weakly smiled and looked over to Future Pen. "Oh, its the missies. Didn't think you would visit me today. No gang war or high brow kills last time I checked."

Pen smiled then continued, "Yeah, I haven't planned anything for the guys just yet. Just been real quite lately."

Jade came up from behind the group and tried to get a better look but it seemed Pen did all she could to block him from the Doc's view.

"Can you work on a couple friends for me, Doc?" Pen could see that hiding Jade would be more difficult then she thought and the quicker she get him out of there would be the best.

Luciano walked up to the Doctor, he gave him a respectful bow and he said, "I appreciate you seeing us on such short notice, Sir." He slowly removed his Grizzly Hoodie, and then his shirt. Luciano winced as he took them off; The paramedics didn't do a good job, he assumed. If they did, he wouldn't be bleeding still. So he was hoping that this Doctor knew what he was doing.

The Doc nodded and went to work with the injuries of the gang. All the time he wondered why the group were being formal with him and the outdated wardrobe. Pen managed to get Jade out who was getting a little hard to hide. Outside Jade was sat down and given the low down on his gang.

"Soo you are the leader?"

"Pretty much, until Jeremy wants it. There wasn't much choice and the Don was fine with the arrangement. I'm still a Kuro Agent but my real job is your gang."

Jade was a little stunned by that info and Pen just sat next to him. They waited for the gang to finish up. From there they would save past Pen and be off to their own time. As she sat next to Jade, Pen tried to value their time together even if they were just sitting next to each other. After they go home she would have to go back to her life as an single mom, only left with the memories of him and her children to keep her company.

"Ohhhh, boy...." Waffle said disdainfully, "Well, let's see. Some package came in the mail and Pen brought it in to the office to look at it with Luc. It looked like a thermos with a number lock on it, really. So anyway, I was upstairs and by the time I came down again everyone was gone and some blue light started to fade. I don't know where they headed to, but Sabe and I figure they got zapped somewhere else and are trying to get back."

"Oh yeah, and Sabe's in the castle lab because he got jumped by an alien octopus-lookin' thing. He got it through the portal from 'a friend' and thought he was gonna make a seafood stew. I wouldn't recommend going into the kitchen. Forgot to clean up the blood and everything."

Irwin and Kassa were walking on a dirt path that they found until they got to the house in the distance. There really was a moat around it, except its bridge was concrete and unmoving. They crossed the bridge and scaled a small set of stairs before they got to the front door. Kassa stepped a few feet back, leaving Irwin at the door.
"Irwin. It would be better if you rang the doorbell."
Irwin stared at her for a while, then turned back. "Fine," he muttered. He quickly pressed the doorbell and waited for someone to answer.

Skotti's eyebrows raised "Wow, that sounds like a right handful of things happened while i was away" he said as he glanced up at his office.
"So..." skotti said "How much paperwork might all that have produced?" He asked nervously.

The coffee shop had apparently changed ownership multiple times over the years, at one point it was a hair salon, and then a bookstore (according to the lady at the counter), but it had luckily returned to a small cafe just a year back. Koji was rather embarrassed to still be in his pajamas, but he sat on one of the stools by the front window regardless, just so he could relax and look at all the people going by. For some reason, the lady at the counter had been generous enough to pay for his small cup of coffee when he realized he had no money on him due to his current wardrobe situation. As he took a drink a set of familiar faces walked past the window outside with a pair of children.

His hair was cut shorter, but it was easy to recognize his own face. The woman next to him looked almost as if she hadn't aged at all, and he recognized her instantly as his art assistant. The thought of having children with Foxi some day in the future made his head spin and he almost fell out of his chair as they continued past and went off towards the parking lot. He took a moment to note the irony of finding his future self when he had purposely left the group so as not to learn about his future before thanking the woman at the counter again and leaving brusquely to tail the family.

"I just wish that she wouldn't make such a big deal about it.." The man said as he scooped up the little girl in his arms.
"It's what they do. They have to parade around their achievements for everyone to see. Of course, my achievements become their own since they gave birth to me.." She rolled her eyes as she grabbed the little boy by the hand. "..and yours are included by extension, since you married me."
"Yeah, but what if I don't want an exhibit?"
"It doesn't really matter, they'll end up doing it anyway." She said with a sigh. "Besides, what's so bad about displaying your art? " At this point, the little boy chimed in.
"I think you should do it, daddy."
"See? Even little Salem agrees." Present Koji stopped behind one of the cars at the sound of the name. His head was seriously out of whack now, and he took a moment to breathe before deciding to give up on his curiosity. Unfortunately, by the time he rounded the corner and made it back to the park, the rest of his group was nowhere to be found.

Waffle covered her nose and mouth with a clean dishrag as she put a cleaning solution on the tiling. It gave off a vapor that stung her eyes. Should've made Tracy do this earlier.

A few minutes later she tied the dishrag around her face and got out the mop
