Miriam The Bat Anlina bp: I did two fat kitties, one on its back and one sitting. 4laugh Miriam The Bat *Is looking for a job* I want to work in a diamond mine in Canada but all the job openings are asking for experience. gonk Where does one go to get experience mining dimaonds outside of a diamond mine? What kind of position are you applying for? My brother is considering going to go work in one of the mines up north, because it just pays so amazingly well, but he's currently apprenticing as an industrial millwright where he currently builds drills for use in mines, and he'll have his ticket in a year. He just started out there as a shop boy, though. I'm getting my BS in Geology in May, so I'm looking for a kind of apprentance-type geology job (since I don't have the experience). There's a huge geologist shortage in Canada, apparently. My uncle and cousin already work for the Canadian mining industry. I'm thinking of just submitting a resume to the one my cousin works at, since he dropped out of music college and now gets paid tons of cash to examine, catalouge, and ship out core samples. Gah, I've never written a resume before. gonk There's a desperate shortage in a lot of positions in Canada, particularly skilled trades and people willing to work in the mines and mills in remote communities. Good luck with finding a position - hopefully it won't be too difficult to get one. There's a nickel mine in Thompson, Manitoba, and I think they're badly in need of people - my brother was thinking about going there, because on top of your regular wage they're offering an hourly nickel-bonus. I think it's down to $9 which isn't bad at all, but was closer to $15 earlier in the year (so he could have been pulling in almost $40/hour.) Fort McMurray also seems to be a popular destination for jobs lately.

BridgeChan Vincent Valentine-Jenova Hey Eve if it makes you feel anybetter, (that whole misury loves company thing) I was really looking foward to my Christmas break, now I just wish it was Thanksgiving time again. Now, why is it that you're beginning to dread X-mas break? I get three weeks for break, and for one of them, my mom is most likely going to be off, shes being trained to work with a new machine her office just bought. And I was told last night that a friend of mine is dying because of a problem with her kiddenys. So I have to make sure I spend some time with her. My neihbor also requested that I hang out with her over the break because she's been depressed for obvious reasons. (It's not like I dont want to hang out with her, we just dont have much in common any more.) *PM's you the last part.* This is something that I dont want my suitemates who are on Gaia to find.

Oh wow thats pretty ^0^! Thanks Bridgey. *snugs* That took me a good deal of time. I got the idea for the snowflakes from your floral print on that kimono+victoria dress. The gold ribbon I actually had to recolor mostly with the brush, the black didn't recolor right on it's own, though there was enough for me to know where to put the right colors. *giggles*
