"I want to help stop that...thing...but *he* won't let me." Maru said as a means to explain himself. He looked toward Solumone, who was still standing there as carelessly as ever. "And I cannot very well overpower him in order to get to the beast, so until he allows me to go there I must stay here." Maru sighed, still simply watching as the battle unfolds. Citedal's mouth had opened only to be filled with smoke, that of which nearly caused it to gasp and choke out. Yet mere moments after the smoke began to enter its mouth did a sudden, heavy force hit its stomach from underneath. The smoke spewed out from its mouth quickly after Scytheress' very wind struck. However...something had changed about the smoke, something occured only moments after entering its mouth. There was a deep, red tint lining the cloud which now spread. As it touched the tips of the grass blades, it burned them, desintigrated them quickly. Yes, the smoke had now become acidic from being within the beast's mouth, and continued to spread out. But Citedal would not be effected by its own acid...not that it mattered now, for Citedal quickly launched into the air with the aid of Scytheress' wind current.

This was unfortunate for Taqune, who had leaped toward Citedal and was now heading for the acidic cloud. Bad for Scy as well, still laying there as the cloud slowly spread across where she was. Oh, but things had to get worse, for Vicconious Kahn's fireballs were heading toward the both of them. And not but a moment after touching the cloud, did they cause the cloud to explode. The fire, mixing with the acid cloud, created a large burst of flames that would near instantly incinerate Taqune and Scytheress if they did not do something to protect themselves or move. Not even Taqune's regenerative abilities would save every cell in his body from being obliterated at the same time. Citedal was not done yet, for now he began his decent to the earth. He fell toward Shien, pressing both claws together and grasping them, both fists now joined as they aimed for the young man. A kind of "double-axe handle" move was being used, one that would not only tear into Shien but crush his body to nothing. With hardly anytime, the creature comes down, fists slamming against the ground. The moment they hit, a wave traveled over the ground, which soon became a terrible shiver and then a violent tremor. Cracks split throughoug the school grounds as the entire area shook with a sudden quake that would stumble and force nearly everyone on the ground to fall.

Maru, eyes wider now, tried to stand from his position on his knees. He would attempt to lift Sin up if he could, surprised by the tremendous force displayed by the monster. Solumone was...still standing however, and lightly placed his hand on Shien's shoulder with a smile. Yes...Shien's shoulder, the man who just moments before was under the pair of mighty fists ready to be crushed but now was right in front of Solumone standing. "Really now, dear boy, you must be more careful in such situations. An uncordinated mass of effort only leads to toppling once's own endeavers. But perhaps I could lend assistance to teach you and these young, impressionable minds, what for." he smiled simply, not even expecting to be given a glance back. Solumone's enigmatic words aside, the fact remained, Citedal did in fact seem keen to each and every attempt made on its life. And now, it turned on the others, such as Darius and Kahn, who seemed to be the fighters currently involved with trying to defeat it. Again, the black, crackling energies surged throughout its body...though more violently then before. There was a great deal of activity from the forces gathering over the creature, especially toward the center eye on its forehead. "Your moment to shine is near, Mr. Tangarian." Maru bare his fangs at Solumone, yet clearly ready at a moment's notice to strike the beast rather then the man who lightly insulted his pride. "As it is the same with you, my boy. If I recall, you are capable of using a crescent wave that cuts like a blade. Do you believe you could safely muster enough to perform another such attack on cue? The same goes for you as well, stranger...prepare your energy, and ready yourself on my mark." he didn't look at Shien, not Shin, not even Maru...his eyes were set on Citedal, and he did indeed expect cooperation from the three.

The dry grass crunched softly under her white tennis shoes as Nena's feet gracefully crossed upon the ground. Her eyes peering at the new school she would be attending. It seemed alot different than the normal type she was use to.

Slowly she made her way through the gate and studied the students outside and about in the main courtyard directly infront of the entrance. so many thoughts raced through her mind. The small girl sighed, and lowered her head as she walked, so that she was able to she were she was going but the other students couldn't see her face. Nena proceeded to walk over to the middle of the courtyard and sat down by the fountain. She lifted her head, her face was buried in hair, and with her hand she swept her hair back to its proper position. But a slight breeze blew more of it in her eyes, but the small girl paid no mind. She took off her bookbag and opened it, reaching in and pulling out a small novel. Nena was about to begin to read, when a soft whisper cam e out of her lips "Wonder if I will meet anyone my first day." She glanced around then opened her book and began to silently read.

Siren had only edged her a little closer when she the air around her change, it was stuffy and smelt like burning acid. Stopping dead in her tracks she waited, hoping that it wouldn't reach her, for if it did she would more than likely be killed. This beats was too much for one person alone to fight..that much she thought obvious. But what wasn't obvious was how to defeat it. So far from all the vibrations that ran along the ground and echoed through the air she could tell that each of thier attacks was doing nothing, whereas the Citadels, whos's vibration were much more powerful, could easily topple a building.
"We have to work together this is not going to work otherwise" she muttered to herself as she allowed the air to clear a bit before advancing from her point.

Knowing it was too risky to get much closer she crept along the side, clutching her chain to her side and staying prepared incase of a sudden attack. She was hoping to bump into someone, anyone and hopefully get them to listen. That if they wanted rid of this creature they would have to work together.
Slowly she crept, her long hair flowed behind her as she kept silent, so as not to draw attention to herself just yet. She crept like a shadow, you never hear them and they never make a sound..they are just there.

Dinah looked at the beast as the acidic cloud spread nearer towards a boy and another girl none of which she knew, but she still felt some sort of resposiblilty... She would of helped but when Citedal landed on the ground and caused massive cracks in the earth and voilent treamers, Dinah fell to the ground helpless as her legs were still in pain and bleeding badly. She wasn't able to keep herself stood up for long. She stumbled around on the ground a bit till the tremers setaled and she was able to crawl away form the large crack that had appered virtually right next to her, she had been lucky not to have fell downthe gap now in the ground!...

It took Dinah a while but she climbed to her feet and looked at the state of her legs, she would have to bear the pain as long as she hadn't broken any bones she should be able to move fast enough to escape serious harm from the acidic cloud, she began to walk backwards never taking her eyes of the beast and using her ears as a guide to where her footing was, she wasn't going to risk taking her eyes off Citedal if she did she could end up in an even worse prediciment!...

She finally decided she was far enough away from the acidic cloud, but she decided to do something else, she could feel her 'powers' building up from the injustice of her being caused more pain and so she hid behind a tree and created on solitry illuison of herself striaght infront of Citedal's mouth, stood on the ground of course...

Whilst the real Dinah had created several more shadow blades this time there where weaker and would fade once they got too far away from Dinah's person but they would still pierce the skin of Citedal if they hit. Dinah was sure there was no one behind Citedal meaning that she was safe to send the attack and besides once the shadow blades got past Citedral's head they would rapidly lose power and transfer back into normal shadow essance, hopefully...

Dinah directed the shadow blades striaght towards the third eye of the beast she was hopeing that was its weak point, she used the illusion to distract the beast by making it run; left and hopfully drawing its attention. She herself still hid behind the tree for if the beast saw them both it would guess something was wrong, all the time the shadow blades where heading striaght towards the beast's third eye, but would they hit or not? dinah moved the mouth of the illusion using her powers of course and shouted, well more of a scream

"Beast of hell!"

It was angar that had made her do so but she had proberly just ruind her whole plan!

Scytheress

Dangerous Lover

PostPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2005 11:43 am

With the monster off of her Scytheress's gaze was cleared once more but she thought for a moment she'd hit her head in the proceedings for her vision was coated in a red haze. But blinking did not wrent her of the malady and the fox quickly focused on the shifting red particles of smoke falling toward her. Her left ear had swivled to catch the sound of the fire spheres ready to make impact and she pushed the thought of Citedal from her mind to confront her new problem. Scytheress quickly brought her right set of wings up and across her body as she pressed off the ground with her left hand, sending her into a horizontal spin. Her wings sent a gust at the mist to blow it back from her, a few bits singeing her feather tips. Then continuing the rotation those same five wings came around at the explosions and the roaring fires seemed to get pulled to the black apendages like a strong magnet and the limb was set ablaze. Finishing hte turn Scytheress shifted to land facing the high building the fire had come from and beat the ignited wings forward, sending all the rage of the attack sailing back at Kahn in a streaming wave.

Scytheress followed her counter with a loud roar feline in nature, a mix of a woman's voice and the call of a panther it seemed. Her eyes narrowed in on Kahn, fixing him with an indignant gaze and she bared her fangs once more as a sign of warning. She didn't mind the fact he wanted in on the action, but if he, and others, didn't start wising up to Citedal's tactics she would kill them all should she survive the rest of this event. Turning then from the man she took a few steps back and looked over toward Citedal. Only her sight strayed to Solumone's trio, namely Maru. She'd not too long ago left his 'company', that is if stalking someone could be called being in their company.

Now wasn't the time however to return to studying the dark-haired man's perplexities as there was a bigger task at hand. Tearing her gaze from Maru she looked back to Citedal and his most recent failed attack. He was far enough from her that she wasn't immediately threatened, or so she figured. She tucked her wings against her back and ran a hand through her hair. This beast would meet its demise if she had any say in the matter. And then, that mission completed, she'd find Yusake.

Sin glanced up, gaining his full balance..."On your mark..." he repeated to himself.
He figured he must be good for something, his memory was slowly informing him of something. He closed his eyes to blink. When he opened them, there was no sound...everything was frozen.

He looked around at the people around him, at Citadel, and the offence. Nothing moved, nothing. The only sign of possible life was the sound of rushing wind, though not a cloud of dust stirred.

He turned in a full 360 degrees circle. When he came back, to facing the scene, something odd happened. He was no longer looking down at the Citadel, but at himself. He saw his figure, clean and white...like the clouds he had departed from moments ago.

He wrestled his vision away from his other reflection, and looked around him. He gasped in horror to find the petrified Citadel close to him. Too close...
He felt the feeling that the creature could not harm him, but it was creepy...he edged away.
Slowly, the creature followed...Sin moved faster. So did the beast...
He averted his gaze in somewhat terror to find that things where unfreezing...would he be seen?
Reality lurched forward...the beast at Sin...well actually, not at him, he was just in the way. For a second, Sin could smell it, but then he couldn't...at the same time he noticed his other self falter in appearance.

The creature went through Sin and continued its attacks...like Sin was a ghost. He decided it could do him no harm and looked back at himself, who in turn was looking curiously at Sin...the real one...maybe.

The other shook his head, as if clearing his thoughts, then seemed to concentrate on the air in front of him.

The ribbons tying his outfit together began to swirl and shake, the moved against the wind with a life of their own. The other Sin himself started to glow bright blue. Little balls of iridescent light faded into view, and rotated slowly around the shinning teen. As they moved faster, Sin began to raise into the air...his wings spreading out to their full expanse...

Trials of light started to trace the paths of the orbs...then they seemed to decay into flecks of rainbow. Those flecks gained shape till they took the form of deadly shards of glass.

The other Sin was now inside a enclosed cocoon of shattered Iridescent light...his eye, nails, hair, and tattoos where all a solid sky blue.

The shards started to file into streams, the rivers flowed out in front of Sin, entwining and twisting with each other till they fed into one mass of chaos. The tributaries kept flowing, endlessly, and the ball grew in size, till it was about the mass of a large medicine ball.

As the mass enveloped more space, a brighter, gray light could be seen shinning through the furious storm of confusion...threads and beams of light spurred forth from the thing...and created an ornate web around Sin, and flowed beyond him...

He threw both palms forward, and flapped his wings mightily...the ball, with much gusto and inertia. Trials of shards lingered and whirled behind it as it beamed forth, aimed at the creature's eye.

It hit real Sin instead, and he blinked. He was where he was, when he had first started his vision. He gasped almost, and looked around again.
He watched Citadel tear away, and then another weird occurrence took place. He, for just a second, say himself...staring right back at him...before the vision was masked by a rampaging monster. He smiled to himself..."I ready whenever..."

He knew what to do...his ribbons started to glow and move.

Shien nodded to Solumone slightly, ignoring the fact that Solumone had saved him. He'd have to thank him later, but for now, he had a really ugly beast to kill. He wiped a bit of the blood off his face and said "Tell me when you need it. I can hold it at max power for as long as possible." he said as he drew Snowfault quickly.

He put his right foot forward and his left back just a bit, and put his left arm infront of him. His right arm drew back a bit, holding Snowfault, and he began to slow his breathing. A small surge of energy was felt, and Snowfault's blade was covered with an eerie, shimmering white glow. Shien grabbed the hilt with both hands, and a small lightning bolt shaped bit of white energy flowed from his hands into the blade, causing the glow brightened.

He lifted the sword above his head, and if you looked closely you could swear one or two of his brown hairs were turning a gray color. His skin seemed to pale, and he staggered a small bit. "Ready." he said, his voice obviously highly strained.

Taqune saw the cloud coming at him,and he knew that it would kill him if he didn't protect his body...Letting a roar escape his mouth a barrier surrounded him just in time. The sound waves dispersed the acidic fireball coming at him making a nice hole for him to go through.Once he was through the cloud he disspelled his shield and began to drop lucky for him the breast was right below him and his ears being Taqune's target.Taqune readied a defting sonic blast that would at least make the creature disoriented for a few minutes.Right when he dropping by the creature he clapped his hands together releasing the sonic blast aiming right into the left ear.
After he hit the ground he would use his speed to get to a better advantage point alittle farther back by the other students.

Alef

Hilarious Loiterer

PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2005 5:20 pm

Alef quietly wandered into the courtyard. There was so much going on she considered turning around and leaving before she found herself caught up in everything. She titled her head to the side a little bit, carefull to stay out of the way, being sure she went un-noticed. She wasn't paying attention in the least, but seemed to successfully stay off to the side of whatever obstacle she can across. Letting out a soft sigh, she seated herself on a bench, watching everything.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2005 5:38 pm

Quietly as possible, a figure entered the Courtyard from the entrance to Ria. He had blood red hair that neatly fell to his waist and seemed well kept. He wore a black jacket, a black shirt and black pair of jeans. His brown leather shoes muffled his steps on the stone slightly, and seemed somewhat loose. His amber colored eyes were somewhat hidden by his hairline, but they seemed to shine through his hair somehow, making them plain as day even as they were hidden.

His eyes wandered over the fight in the courtyard, and he shook his head. He had just signed up, and honestly did not feel like getting into a fight on his first day. He stepped around the fight, passing by Alef and he sighed. Most of the benches were destroyed by the fighting, so he sat down on the ground next to one of the benches. He didnd't seem particularly interested in any one thing, letting his eyes wander over the fight and the fighters. He stopped on Citadel for a moment, and surprisingly there was no external reaction, he didn't even raise an eyebrow. As if he saw horrific demons every day.

He sighed and leaned back a bit, resolving to atleast watch the fight and pitch in if needed..Which, by the look of the rest of the people barely wounding the creature, he might just have to. He seemed to ignore Alef for the moment, even though she was sitting on the bench next to him. Not a social fellow, it seemed.

Alef let her emerald gaze watch over everything, and eventually come across a man with long, dark, red hair. She stared at him for a moment taking in his appearance. She noticed his eyes first off, as she always did with anyone else. Not feeling the need to stare at him, she watched from her parifial vision until he was out of her range of sight She was well aware that he was sitting on the ground beside the bench she had been sitting on for the last few minutes. After he did not say anything, she decided that the fight was not keeping her attention to well, and spoke first. "Hey..." Her voice was quiet. It always was, but not so, that he could not have heard her speak.

The raw energy continued its powerful gathering within the eye of the beast, now watching Scytheress as she remained in place. The ground shivered with a subtle rumble around the beast as pieces began to pick up from it, fallen rubble and ruin bringing itself into the air slowly. Niether sound nor shadow took Citedal's attention away from its task. It didn't pay any attention to the illusion, because the girl's close proximity would not make any difference for what it did. Her spikes of shadow, instead of impaling the eye, absorbed into the sphere of black forming and were soaked up. The terribly powerful roar...it was like nothing to the creature that seemed to simply ignore it. The grass around Citedal slowly dulled in color, until it was completely gray. The same began to happen with the open space about three feet around its entire body. The energy within its eye swirled, the sphere growing beyond the size of its own eye, and eventually half the size of its head. Then came new sounds...cries in fact. They were nearly inaudible, soft whimpers carried through the wind as if forseeing what was to come. Again the sphere grew, and still Citedal waited as it watched Scy. Then...within a single instant, the sphere erupted with an enormous boom. A huge wave of force spread from the sphere in a vertical circle that cut a path to the left and right of the monster's head through the ground, the wave sent itself across the courtyard, almost enough to knock back those hit by it.

[End Scream]

A horrible cry filled the entire courtyard, like the screaming whailing of countless, tormented souls almost. The sound echoed throughout the entire area and beyond...but that was not the devestation, no...for the exact moment this wave erupted and brought upon the distant screams then also came a terrible power. The sphere bent and contorted in Scytheress' direction until become a long, wide, deep black beam surrounding dull white and gray pillar like center. The beam was surrounded by many random, black, electrical sparks. It was an impressively wide attack of fifteen or more meters, coming straight for Scytheress! There was no defense for something clearly massive, a beam so terrible the dead echoed in pain from its very appearance. She would be completely wiped away in less then even a second perhaps, if she did not move from the path of the attack. Even more terrifying would possibly be the fact that the area six feet outside of the beam dulled to gray just like the area immediately around Citedal...almost as if the light itself were being absorbed to feed this attack's raw power. And still Solumone stood there, unphazed yet...no longer smirking. His right hand held tightly on the cane and his left extended out. "Ready yourselves...it is almost time." he said. Maru was near paralyzed though as he stood there, shaking slightly. Though he mostly remained stoic, his eyes were wider and quivering, as was his body.

Shien was too busy trying to hold on to the fleeting remnants of strength in his legs and arms to be too concerned with the beam, at the moment. He watched it through slitted eyes and muttered a silent prayer to whatever deity the Ryu-Kiu worshipped. Snowfault shimmered above his head, and the air grew eeriely chilled, an unnatural cold settling over the Courtyard.

The man glanced up at Alef and nodded to her "Hello." and let his gaze quickly wander over the new attack, before returning it to her. "Tell me, does this sort of thing happen often here? I mean the demons and such." he asked. His voice had a hint of an accent to it, although it was impossible to tell what, and it sounded slightly muffled, as if something was held over his mouth.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2005 6:13 pm

"What is that horrible noise!" Michio says. His dark sword would be getting smaller somehow right now.

"That is the wonderful sound of tormented souls, cool."

"Wait where is the dark energy goings o fast?"

"You caught me, I have been draining it whilst this was distracting you. It's time to control this wonderful body again." Evil disappears back into the mind.

"Wait, No!" Good follows, but is met with dark bonds, holding him still.

"Too late."

Michio's good wing and blade turn dark.

Dark Michio is back, with a vengeance.
