"We all do wonderful and terrible things in our lives. At any moment, we are showing ourselves how we wish to be seen to the people we are with. We try to please ourselves and those around us. These things you did in the past .. were terrible. Here, now, you are a much different person, a person whom I love with all my heart. Perhaps loved you too much and I have smothered you. If that is the case .. I apologize. I do not blame you if you dislike me and wish to cast me away. It is only natural, most people do the same." she said softly. Slowly she lowered her head. "The more we speak .. the more I realize how alike we are in our fears of ourselves. So concerned with how others view us that we cannot believe anyone could think of us in any other way but how we know has been truth in the past. Can we ever get past this?" she asked softly, again looking to his eyes.

Reevis chuckled only out of reflex at what she said. "You smother me? That was not the problem. I enjoyed being with you every chance I got... However, I did see how happy you were with other people. I saw you care for them the same way you would care for me, but you were normally happy with them. I... always seem to bring you pain." His grip tightened on the blade after he spoke. "Our past defined us, making us who we are now. However, unlike before, you mave many who care for you deeply. I am sure that, after some time goes by, you will be able to believe in yourself just as you believe in others."

"Do you wish for me to stay away from others? To spend time with you alone?" she asked softly. Blue eyes still watched him with curiosity and hope to find answers. After she said this, her clothes shimmered back to color-filled life, an unintentional action, which she did not seem to notice happened.

Reevis smiled slightly and shook his head. "No. The only thing I want is your ultimate happiness. Losing all your friends to be with me would not accomplish this, now would it?"
The two were no longer paying attention, so Twilight made her move. Moving silently she got close enough to Reevis to try something. Swinging her tail she aimed perfectly at the sword, knocking it from his hand and to an area away from him. Then with another movement the dragon had pinned him down to make sure he could not reclaim the blade.

"I would gladly consider .." her words were shortened by Twilight's actions. With surprise, she nearly threw herself between the two but this happened so quickly, Reeve was good and pinned before she could achieve anything. "Hey! Hey, all is well .. ok?" she said, smiling softly to Twilight. Gently she had her fingers find the side of Twilight's jaw. Touching her face with both hands, she looked the young dragon in the eyes with a bright smile before resting her forehead on her nose, sending serene images to the young dragon. "All is well .. or will be shortly. I believe this with all my heart." she said kindly to her. Lifting her head from Twilight, she looked to the dragon with a smile and kissed her nose before releasing her completely. She then turned her attention to Reeve, still smiling brightly. Reaching to his face, she touched his face gently with her finger tips. "I suppose that while I have an advantage .. I shall ask the impossible question .. Might we try again? Regardless of your answer, you have my gratitude for taking the time to even consider it." she said softly, looking to him with a tearful look. Before he was able to reply, she leaned over and placed a warm kiss on his cheek, where they once agreed to be the place that she would kiss to say thank you so many days ago.

The dragon sent a sense of pride to Ziven when the images entered her mind; Twilight physicaly seemed to be smiling. Despite a probably uncomfortable position Reevis simply syated there without struggling. Her question and actions made him think for a moment before he finally answered. "That would make me... happy. Yes, I thinkwe could try." He smiled slightly as he looked at her with ice blue eyes once again. Suddenly they seemed to darken as he spoke again. "... However, the next time somebody tries to... be with you in a way other than friendship, I reserve the right to harm them in whatever way I see fit." Though probably not a pleasent thought, it was probably the only way to avoid something like this again. "I might just tell them to back off, though." he added quickly.

"I would like to think we might be able to work through that when the time comes, yes?" she asked, though a smile shown on her face, her words were quite serious. "I would not dishonor you by sharing the affection and love I hold for you with another." she continued. Reaching to his face, she gently ran her fingers though his hair a bit, pushing some of his hair out of his face. "Might that ease your mind?"

The dragon removed herself, allowing Reevis to move around once again. He smiled slightly and sat up gently grabbing onto Ziven's waist. "I know that you would not do that to me intentionally, that is not the problem I face." He suddenly pulled her to him, holding her close. "But lets look at as if you were in my shoes. How would you feel if there were two women who were my friends, and you knew that both had great affections for me? And what would you do if, while you and I were together, they had managed to kiss me?"
Twilight watched the pair happily, then layed down to get some rest. It had been a full day for one so young.

She blushed as he touched her and then spoke. Blue eyes watching him with a sad sincerity as she made herself comfortable beside him, holding him as he held her. Inhaling deeply before she answered, she knew before she had started he would likely not appreciate her answer, but it was the truth and he needed to hear it. "I love you. You love me. I trust that even if someone were to do something that I consider is appropriate only between us, that you would tell them that you do not enjoy that with them, that I am the one in your life whom you share this with. It is up to their honor at that moment to accept the truth you speak to them and move on." she said softly.
Adjusting herself as she lay beside him, she smiled a bit more as she moved forward and kissed his cheek quickly before she continued. "In all honesty, if a female who desired you were to kiss you, I would be upset with her but it is still ip to you to tell her to stop, to send her away. If ever it turns out that your feelings change .. I would want you to go with the one you love." she said softly, running her fingers through his hair. "I have you now .. I intend to do what I can to ensure you are happy as often as possible."

He laughed slightly at what she said and gave her a slight squeeze. "And what if they were still persistant? Trying to worm their way closer to me every chance they got, despite what I told them? What would you do then?" He kissed her cheek, just as she had kissed his and smiled a bit. He was pretty sure he knew what her answer was going to be, but that did not stop him from asking.
Gently he ran his hands along her sides as he kissed the top of her head. "I assure you, my feelings shall not change. If they would, then why did I go to all the trouble of getting rid of my emotions? But if you ever begin to love another, do not hesitate to leave." He smiled to her and closed his eyes, sounding rather pleasent despite what he said.

"If they would not leave you, I would of course insert myself in the situation to give more weight to your words, show them instead of tell them the truth of our love." she said softly.
As he continued, she shown a brighter smile but it was not exactly that of happiness but of hiding. She tilted her head a bit which caused tears she did not realize had come to fall. She laughed and dried her face, not entirely sure why she was near crying. "I do love others. My love for you is .. so very different .. you are simply amazing." she said softly, looking him over with happy contentment.

That was not exactly what he had expected, but it certainly was close enough. Reevis opened his eyes to look at her just in time to see her begin to cry. Carefully he helped her dry her tears, a smile remaining on his face. "Your eyes betray your smile. You shouldn't hide from your emotions like others, including I, do. It never really helps a situation." He chuckled and kissed her for a moment before pulling away and staring into her eyes. His ice blue eyes seemed to be giving off a soft glow. "And I am only amazing because you came into my life. If you had not, I might have turned into my father." He smiled a bit at his attempt to make a joke.

When they kissed, her skirt and scarf moved around them for a moment as her eyes closed and she did not open them until after he finished speaking. A small smile on her lips as she spoke again. "I have always had to hide my emotions, no one but my master would care. It was futile to allow feelings other than joy to show to others." she replied simply. Gently she placed a hand on his chest over his heart. "You are amazing because of what is here. I may be a catalyst to making this possible more often, yet this here .." She pressed her hand against his chest a bit more warmly, ".. though you are who makes you Reeve, not I."

He smiled slightly and grabbed onto her hand, holding it softly yet firm at the same time. "That is also what brings forth my hatred. Without my love for you, that would be the only thing my heart would be bringing forth. The Reeve that sits here next to you is one of your own creation, whether you believe that or not." He pulled her hand up and kissed it gently, trying to make up for lost time. "I rather like this place, it is quite beautiful at night." He said as he looked up into the sky. What brought this forth was uncertain, but perhaps he was just trying to change the subject.

Blushing deeply, she curled up beside him, looking small in this moment. "You are yourself .. I could never create something so beautiful." she said softly, rather speaking to his side than to him. There was nothing more she could say to him. The night was indeed beautiful but this was one of the rare moments where she found beauty in something other than nature.
