cardi the omg boxes are a gamble, but that's half the fun!
the other half of the fun is selling them for lots of gold in the mp. i was trying to figure out how to extend the 700gc i have left over 2 pora and some extra omg boxes to keep.
so i bought lots of omg boxes with the 700gc, sold all but 5 on the mp, and had enough to get 3 more pora and 3 more narwhals with the gold. if i solely relied on the cash shop, i would've spent like 1500gc on all of them.
aa-aand now i am done collecting the new items rofl heart .
i r t3h cl3bar.
but of course, all experienced exchangers have figured out this strategy a long time ago.
THE PORA ARE JUST SO DARN ADORABLE!!!!11!!1
I haven't been able to purchase a Pora yet since I spent all my GC on the boxes :'3 I really want one though. Maybe next paycheck X'D Thank God for bi-monthly payday X'D

I don't even dare to buy the OMG boxes. Like Lucca said, too risky. I learned that with buying gift boxes and such. sweatdrop

yeah, i really wish we will be able to keep the initial pora pose. the pora is simply adorable. have i said that already? gonk heart
i jumped into the omg-box-opening craze before thinking about it. by the time my common sense sank in, i already ripped through 20 boxes. and that's when i realized opening more boxes for the narwhal and the pineapple hat was a huge gamble, so i just bought them off the mp. oh well. it was fun 'til it lasted.
i just got paid the other day. now that i am tracking my expenses, i am sorely tempted to donate to gaia. "i have a few more hundred dollars in my checking account! i'm sure i can live on $20 for the rest of the month!" i'm sure glad i'm not going anywhere for the holidays.

I want a Pora and a Narwhal plush, but I'm broke. Also, it's crunch time for College and I'm so severely behind that I have no time to sit around earning gold.
While I'm at it, My schedule of assignments to do:
Already Overdue: - Object design project for Design (I have to choose a hand-operated object and describe how it's design has changed/improved since it's creation. At risk of looking like a weeaboo, I'm probably going to write about chopsticks.)
Due Tuesday: - Description of a work of art from an art museum for Design (got this half done right now.) - Book report for Arctic Geography. - 3 out of 10 essays (1-2 pages each, all 10 need to total 15 pages) on senseless philosophical crap for Philosophy. - Extra credit 1-point thing for Design if I feel like it.
Due Thursday: - The 3 essays I wrote need to be returned to me so I can "revise" them because apparently they're not good enough the first time. - The remaining 7 essays need to be written. - I also have to write a short essay about "what I learned" in Philosophy. This essay will consist of the word "Jack" because I didn't learn jack in that worthless waste of time class.
Seriously, Philosophy was a horrible waste of time. All it was about was learning how to "critically think" (something I already know how to do) and sit around using big words to talk about your feelings. He also changed it to a writing intensive class (you need to take two WI classes to graduate, and I've already taken more than that) after the end of add-drop week, which is technically against college rules.
Design is also a lame class because the teacher also has the air of stuck-uppiness-for-design about her. Arctic geography is the only class I'm acing.
Damn gen-ed requirements...
"I'm science-ing as fast as I can!"

Snow wants a Pora and Narwhale too ;3;
I can't get Gaia cash as I'm Canadian and do not have a credit card or mailing address that is readily available.
D; Being in school is so not fun and Miriam I feel you pain I've got to finish a whole full body sculpture, bake and paint it. Render, texture, and light a full room in XSI. Do two walk cycles front on and side on and a head rotation. A 20 min. speech on Star Wars. Two coloring projects in photoshop. Storyboards, about 12 frames, in to full panel illustrations. Some other things I can't remember at this moment and all in two weeks.
My teacher hasn't even taught us how to texture yet D;
Also doing work on the F.A.C.A.D.E.S event I have to pretty much ban myself from the computer for two weeks D; to get all my school work done D;
- goes back to her work and silent suffering -

My family isn't doing a Christmas tree this year because no one will be home for Christmas and everyone fears what the cats will do all alone with a Christmas tree.

Our Christmas tree is up, but it's ugly because half the things on it are broken.
I want to put up MY Christmas tree, but I can't until I move to my new house and I have no idea if that's happening before Christmas...

the pora is very much in demand, huh? because it's so darn adorable! wait, have i mentioned that already?
i'll be spending christmas at home (here at my apartment in colorado), but i'm really not much for christmas decorations. what use will these christmas decoration have when i'll be sleeping the whole time, anyway? the only decor i'll probably have are christmas cards that i receive. which reminds me, i have to go send out cards as soon as possible.
i am also feeling the college crunch time. darn. you'd think i'd escape all of it once i graduated. let's see...
1. grade over a hundred papers and give them back on finals day 2. put together finals study guides (about 10 of them, for each topic) 3. put together two cumulative final exams 4. finish grading 5. deal with students who ask, "i know i stopped coming to class after the second day, but why did you give me an f?!" 6. put together five more lesson plans. i'm so glad it's the last week of class!
which reminds me, i have to get my butt to work. rawr.
oh, but before i go: i was a philosophy minor in college. i loved philosophy as a freshman. but then i had to take all these classes in metaphysics and epistemology. then in grad school i had to take more philosophy classes. i am not fond of philosophy anymore.
