it soon escalated into a gentle pillow fight.
both of them laughing and throwing.
Togan had never had this much fun with someone before.

that when he remembered that Gren said shed teach him how to fight.

"well i may be winning this battle" he said throwing a pillow at her.
"but i believe you still have to teach me how to use a sword" he said laughing.

Togan:
"ok well wait till she gets back then" he said smiling
it was clear to him that when he was with Gren he was the most happy.

"thanks for teaching me Gren" he said
"it means alot to me"

Togan:

"well so am i" he agreed
he wasnt that interested in fighting but if he learnt how hed be able to help Gren and Nebride when it mattered.
in the end it was just another way to spend more time with Gren

Jane listened as Gren and Togan began their pillow fight. If only her life could be so happy. There were very few shadow elves who could find love outside their race. "Nebride is lucky."

Jane knocked gently on the door before walking in. "Here you go Gren--I found you some clothes. I didn't know what style you liked, so I brought several outfits." She laid them down on a chair. "Call me if you need anything else." Jane turned and left the house quickly.

Nebride sat in the garden, digging to plant more seeds. It was calming to be able to sit and think to yourself. "This has been the best few days of my life. If only Mom and Dad were here to see it." She wiped sweat from her brow, smearing a little bit of dirt across her cheek.

Jane spoke with Gren with her mind since she had left the house already. "Just place them by the door. By the time you wake up in the morning they will be as good as new. I promise."

Sek:

he looked around at the elf village. he was cloaked and even if he was detected noone here would be much of a threat.
afterall he was the man who recaptured the hill of Farndworth from the Blood Masons a chaotic heretic cult.
he didnt like elves. they were crafty and untrustworthy.
since there betrayal at the start of this great war how could anyone trust them. LET alone marry one. But they were no threat to the empire. and Gwendar loved her that was certain.

Even with his rank he has no right to force his opinions onto another.
so he will act as a hero should act......as a friend.

Nebride watched as Gren walked away. "I wonder what she wants to talk about?" She thought to herself. It was then that she felt it. Somebody was in the village, and they were cloaked. "Witch Hunter---probably Gwendar's friend." She stood up and dusted off her clothes. It was time to find Gwendar and meet this friend.

gren:

i smiled at his eagerness and brought him into the living room. there, i pushed the table out of the way to give us a decent space. "i can't train you with the sword just yet. nebride was busy when i went to ask so i don't know where we can do that. in the meantime though, i can teach you to dodge and block punches, kicks, and how to get out of traps like headlocks and being pinned to the ground"

i spread my legs and leaned from side to side, warming up my legs, rolling my shoulders and shaking my wrists. i slid down into the splits and keeping my feet pointed at the ceiling, reached over to my right foot and pressed my temple against my knee. "you do this too. it's warm up"

i switched to my left leg, then bent at my hips, keeping my back strait, and brought my chest down to the floor with my hands out in front of me like i was reaching for something. i sat up, and brought my legs in until they were strait out infront of me, then lied back and rolled over my right shoulder. i tillted my head backwards and brought up my legs and my feet. i brought my heels over my shoulders so i could see my toes. "i don't expect you to be able to do this, but at least try to touch your toes to the back of your head."
