"Alright, you two," Mazarin groaned, standing up. He felt all of his joints pop from his waist down, and he had to admit; it felt good. "I'm gonna head on to bed," he turned coat and began to walk down to the guest bedrooms, "Don't miss me too much!" he called to them, entering an unoccupied room.
When he heard the door shut, Kilik laughed lightly. He looked over at the girl resting on his shoulder and he felt a light blush come to his cheeks. Quickly, he shook it away. Although Rena was highly attractive, she didn't seem the type he would like. Maybe too intellectual or something of the sort? No, he couldn't put the pin on it. Whatever the reason, though, he just couldn't see himself in a relationship with her.
She shifted slightly, pulling her legs up to the couch and scrunching up in the fetal position, clutching his coat a little tighter. Her eyes were still open, yet she said nothing. They were distant and deep in thought, and she really wished to say something to him. Lifting her head up, Rena placed her chin on his shoulder and smiled with a light giggle. "You've got a stray hair, Kilik."
The boy looked over at her from the corner of his eye as she lifted a hand and pulled one of his black hairs away from his cheek. It fluttered to the ground aimlessly. "Thanks," he smiled at her.

"If you're not collecting badges, what brings you all the way out here, away from Lilycove?" Keegan asked Sheena, stirring the embers of their fire with a long stick.
Sheena, who seemed to have found a second wind, was busy making them supper, which she promised wouldn't result in trips to the hospital. "I told you before," she replied, gently stirring the contents of a medium-sized pot that she'd pulled from her belongings. "I'm collecting cute Pokemon." She replaced the lid, content to let the vegetable stew simmer, and she leaned back to wait.
"There has to be another reason," Keegan mused, balancing a burning twig on the end of the fire poker. "I'm sure there were plenty of cute Pokemon around there."
"You're not wrong about that," Sheena smiled, removing the hair bands that kept her pink hair up in its bouncy pigtails. With a gentle shake of her head, it fell about her shoulders, and glowed with a rosy hue in the light of the fire. "I just wanted to get away from home. My family, well, they're really strict, and sometimes scary. They don't believe in real Pokemon battles, you know. They think it's barbaric to pit Pokemon against each other."
"There are many people who think that way," Keegan commented. "My mother is one of them."
"Maybe so, but she didn't forbid you from becoming a trainer, did she?" Sheena countered, looking at the ground sadly. Keegan said nothing, but shook his head. "My family did," she said quietly. "The only thing we're allowed to do is compete in Pokemon Contests. But they're not for me, you know? Having to worry about style and grace and composure, it's all too much for me. I just wanted to get away from all that and strike out on my own. Become a real adventurer."
"So you ran away from home, then?" Keegan asked, raising an eyebrow.
"In a nutshell, that's it," Sheena nodded, lifting the lid and checking the stew. "I think it's ready," she told him, handing him a bowl. "Dig in, there's plenty!"

Nina awoke, not solely due to the dream --she was getting used to them by now-- but rather, she had heard a bit of shuffling around; it sounded as though it was coming from inside the bathroom, as the door was slightly ajar and the light was on. Turning on her side and looking towards Whitney's bed, she rubbed her eyes to help clear her vision; she saw her sister fast asleep. Looking over her shoulder towards Raimundo's bed, she noticed it was vacant, yet the covers were messy, as if he had just gotten up.
She pulled the covers off of herself and swung her feet around to the side of the bed; as her toes touched the ground, a shockwave of coldness tingled up and down her spine due to the floor's temperature. She stood, still a little drowsy from just waking, and made her way over to one of the windows. As she approached it, she vaguely saw her reflection-- a blue-haired girl dressed in pink pajamas with members of the Eevee family adorning her outfit. Nurse Joy had kindly provided them for her.
Looking past her reflection and to the outside, she noticed the dark blue sky was dotted with a plethora of stars; they twinkled brighter than a diamond of the finest quality. Not wanting to be outdone, however, a full moon sat proudly above the stars, shining obnoxiously; to Nina, it almost seemed bright as the sun.
Ah, what the hell's the matter with me? she thought to herself. If I had a single shred of normalcy in my body, I'd have rolled over and gone back to sleep as soon as I woke up. It's probably four in the morning, and here I am, standing awake and staring at the stars like some sort of idi-- Her thought was cut off, however, as she heard some more noise from the bathroom. It was nothing to be seriously alarmed over. She turned her head and shifted her gaze to look towards the bathroom door. It opened all the way, and she saw Raimundo step out.
However, her jaw dropped and she turned a shade of red that was so bright it seemed humanly impossible to achieve such a blush. She clasped her hands over her mouth, and seemed to have forgotten how to breathe.

Raimundo jumped as he saw Nina up and about. At the moment, the only thing he was wearing was a pair of shorts. He held the shirt he had been wearing in his hands, and seemed to be going back to fetch a fresh one.
"Oh my god! Nina! I-I'm sorry! I didn't expect either of you to be awake!" He seemed to be genuinely embarrassed, although she wouldn't find any reason for him to be; she gave him the once-over several times. At the moment, Nina seemed to be having trouble with respiration; it would take a miracle for her to be able to even come close to be able to form a coherent response to him.
Instead, she turned and rushed towards the door. She fidgeted with the doorknob for several moments, trying to open it; eventually though, it surrendered. She practically ran into the main area of the Pokemon Center, closing the door behind her.
OH-MY-GOD! Nina thought to herself, in a panic. He looks like that... and he saw me in my pink Eevee pajamas! Gaaaah! She really seemed as though she was about to cry, due to embarrassment.

Shining wasn't really sure where the attack came from and looked around the water frantically. It didn't seem to appear and then she though for a moment and looked below. She saw an area of pressurized water coming forth from directly beneath her poor form. She was lifted out of the water along on a large bulge that happend to fling her hard into the edge of the pool. "Come on Shining get it together. You should be able to find it in the water somehow... " Let's see.. Mag thought back to the battle thus far. When Staryu used Recover or before with Wwater Gun, there had to be a way to figure it out and find the pokemon despite its nearly invisble shield. Then suddenly a smile crept upon his face.
"Forget looking for the body! Staryu's center gem glows every time it uses a move! Look for a flash and then dodge and attack it back!" Mag shouted to Shining who had found her way onto a platform again. Luckily the Water Pulse hadn't confused her in the slightest thus far. Nodding in agreement the Eevee looked about the water, waiting for the telltale glow.

A marvelous supper was then had, as Sheena proved to be a fabulous cook. They ate in silence, and also cleaned up in silence, Sheena looking at Keegan curiously pretty much the whole time. It was as if there was something she wanted to ask him, but she was afraid to.
Once they'd finished up the few dishes, Sheena was busy spreading out her sleeping bag. She looked up at Keegan again, who had Helios on his lap and was carefully grooming the Vulpix's soft fur. The redhead looked up, catching the girl staring at him. Finally, he decided to say something about it. "What? Why do you keep staring at me?"
"No reason," Sheena giggled, now brushing out her own hair.
"No reason?" Keegan repeated, frowning. "Well if there's no reason, then stop it. It's unnerving." He spread out his own sleeping bag, and kicked off his shoes, crawling inside of it.
"Well, actually," Sheena started, setting down her brush.
"Out with it, then. I want to go to sleep."
"I was just curious as to why you and your girlfriend split up. Was it because you're harsh and abrasive?" she asked, quite seriously.
"No, that's not... what?" Keegan asked, turning over to look at her again. "You think--"
"--That you're harsh and abrasive? Well duh. You're right about not being the nicest person around, but you're a good person deep down." The girl gave a cheeky grin. "So if she didn't mind the way you treat others, then what was it?"
Keegan sighed. This girl was hopeless. "If you really must know," he lied back down again, putting his hands under his head and looking up at the sky, many of the stars hidden by clouds of smoke drifting up from Mount Chimney, "it really was me, I guess. She always seemed to be distracted or in her own little world. It was like there was a wall there, and I just couldn't find a way in. Maybe I tried too hard, or maybe I didn't try enough, I don't know." He sighed, and closed his eyes.
Sheena put her brush back into her bag, snuggling down under the covers with Windy the Chimecho right beside her. "I don't think it was you," the girl said finally. "If she had a wall there, it was because she was afraid to let you in. Or maybe she thought you were too good for her."
"That's nonsense," Keegan scoffed, eyes still closed. "If anything, I'm unworthy of her. She's kind, and caring, and also the toughest trainer I know."
"Is she pretty?" Sheena asked, smiling at his words.
"She's beautiful," Keegan remarked. "Even when she's crying like a baby, or sound asleep. But most of all," he paused, smiling wistfully, "she's absolutely stunning when she's smiling."
Sheena thought for a moment, taking in what he said. After a moment, a sly grin crept across her face. "Do you love her?" she asked suddenly.
"... I do."

Just as Dante was about to head out on his way again he heard a shout. Raising an eye brow he looked down at Meowth for a second, the cat pokemon just shrugged. Glancing back he spotted a girl running up to him. She seemed to have long black hair that and a black bandana? Shifting a bit, not really expecting to see anyone out here so late or early however you thought of it, he waited for her to get closer to him. "Umm, can I help you some how?" He asked curiously when she was in earshot. Behind her a Slugma was doing its best to catch up with her. " I think you should wait for you pokemon." He was assuming it was hers. " Or maybe you should recall it." He said seeing that its lava like body was starting a small fire in the grass.
Pulling out Shiva's pokeball he let her out. "Shiva could you put out that fire?" He asked the jolly looking seal pokemon. The seal just barked happily before shooting a jet at water at the small fire. Now that that was done she started rolling around happily.

And just like that, it felt like a weight had been removed from his chest. Keegan opened his eyes, and looked towards the slowly dying fire. Helios was sitting next to him, loyal as ever. The redhead reached up with a trembling hand to pat the Vulpix, but paused. He was shaking. Him.
He chuckled lightly. "So that's what it's like, to finally admit something like that, huh?" he asked, his voice cracking slightly.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" Sheena asked innocently.
"I think I can breathe again," he replied, nodding.
"Good then," Sheena giggled, snuggling down under her covers. "Good night!"
"Yeah, good night," Keegan murmured, pulling the covers up to his chin, staring blankly at the dark sky above him. He jumped a little as the fire crackled loudly, and he glanced over at it. Helios was curled up, his six tails wrapped around him like a blanket.
It wasn't long after that he managed to fall asleep, although that very same dream that had been haunting him returned; the only difference this time was that Sheena was there too, and surprisingly enough, she said nothing, and also didn't sprout feathery wings and then fly away. He woke up several times during the night in a cold sweat, each time taking longer and longer to get back to sleep. Finally, when the sun started to lighten the sky in the eastern horizon, he got up, going about the campsite and getting things order so they could leave after breakfast.

Ky just nodded at M.A.'s comment, recalling Sting into his Pokeball. It had been a long day and witnessing so many battles and conflicts had his mind wandering. He never really met Rockets before, and this Kilik guy was as interesting as ever, though he did find him quite arrogant when Kilik tried to break his fighting spirit. Ky probably would have said something to defend those against the Rockets, but it'd probably fall on deaf ears. One thought definitely remained on his mind though. 'If Kilik left Team Rocket, why does he seem so similar to them? Is he some outcast? What does he do?' Ky thought. Ky didn't let it bother him too much as he noticed it was getting dark outside.
Ky then followed M.A. to the Pokemon Center, remembering Bugsy and how strong he was. 'He's so strong and yet so young,' he thought. Ky thought of tomorrow and whether or not he was ready to fight Bugsy. "Hey M.A., did you notice that Crenu got a new Pokemon? It looked like a water-type," Ky said. He then looked down at the Phanpy and pointed. "Actually, it looks like you have one too. I'm jealous."

Misty grinned. "You'd be surprised how many people don't figure that out until it's too late!" she called over to Mag. Staryu leapt out of the pool, doing several turnovers before landing in the water again, and disappearing beneath the surface. "Staryu! Use Rapid Spin!"
Again Staryu came shooting out of the water like a comet, its body gaining momentum as it hurtled towards Shining at an alarming speed.

((Hurrah for finishing work early.))
"Huh? Oh!" Linalee said as she noticed her Slugma. "Silly you know you're not supposed to light things on fire without permission!" She said picking the girl up. "So I suppose you have a case of Insomnia too then... Just thought I'd say hello since you were the only other person I've seen around." Linlaee smiled at the other trainer. "You have some unique pokemon."

Kasiya slept lightly, yet soundly, and awoke fairly early the next morning. She felt refreshed and ready to take on the world - right after breakfast. She showered and got dressed, leaving her bandanna off while her hair dried. As she ran her brush through it, finding a surprising lack of tangles, she almost missed her extremely long hair, save for the fact that it took a lot more time and effort to keep it neat and tidy and healthy. She skipped merrily into the common room of the Pokemon Center, and was greeted by a rather cheerful Nurse Joy, who also seemed to share her good mood. She gladly reclaimed her crew and quickly left the Pokemon Center to find somewhere for them to have breakfast. Today was going to be a big day, and she'd rather not start if off with mediocre Pokemon Center food.
Fuchsia seemed to be a busy, bustling town, and Kasiya was quite taken in by all the sights. "They have a zoo, and the Safari Zone is here too!" she commented, passing by a few signs that showed the directions of these various attractions. It was rather easy to find a restaurant that served Pokemon as well, and the sun shone down on Kasiya and her six Pokemon brightly as they enjoyed a rather hearty and well-balanced breakfast on the outdoor patio. "I wonder what the gym is like," she asked idly, shoving away her plate and leaning back in her chair. "Koga is supposed to be a ninja master. And he has a Crobat, too! I wonder what he'll think of Fang..." the girl trailed off, looking over at the fourth Pokemon she'd ever acquired. The green Crobat was hanging upside down on the inside of an unoccupied table's umbrella, and he was using his two lower wings to propell himself forward, making for a rather amusing makeshift merry-go-round. Ariel and Flash were sitting next to each other, occasionally glancing up at their teammate and shaking their heads. Hiro chose to ignore Fang completely; at least the winged buffoon wasn’t attacking him. Adamantine was happily preoccupying the ground next to Kasiya, munching food especially for Rock-type Pokemon happily, and Casimir was snoozing under the table itself; the Dark-type not really being a fan of the bright sun. For a moment Kasiya thought about rushing back to the Pokemon Center and calling Professor Oak to get him to send Shocker back to her, but stopped herself. She'd promised the Raichu a few days' rest, and that was what she was going to get. She couldn't help but worry that the moody Raichu would hold a grudge against her for missing the match, though, but Kasiya silently promised that Shocker would be there, front and center, when it came time to make challenges for her Marsh and Volcano Badges.

Now that the Staryu was out of the water it was easily visible. Good thing there is hardly anything faster than a Quick Attack. Shing had taken this opportunity to try and lead the flying Staryu shuriken into a wall, or platform, or something hard that might knock it out by running in short bursts with Quick Attack across the water. Finally she had made it over to one of the larger platforms. Lining herself up with the edge she waited for Staryu to get close enough for her to hopefully dodge it and make it crash into the rest of the platform behind her. "Grab onto it if it and don't let go if looks like it will hit you!" Mag shouted to her realizing the strategy she was attempting.

"Well not really insomnia..." Dante trailed off not really wanting to think of his rude awakening about two hours ago. Looking behind him and back to the grassier area he didn't see anyone either. "Well you probably haven't seen anyone because its, "He glanced at he watch. "Three thirty in the morning. I am sure it gets busier here later in the day. And as for my pokemon, well I can't say that yours isn't interesting as well." He glanced down at the Slugma in her arms and wondered how she was carrying the pokemon without getting burned. Maybe it was kind of like how Apollo didn't burn him when he was riding him?
Meowth who was watching the exchange and was wondering about the Slugma to. There were not many pokemon the cat had never seen, this just happened to be one of them. When he heard the unique comment though he smirked. "You certainly know how to spot good pokemon there miss."

"Yeah I suppose that might be the reason why." Linalee exclaimed. "Wow a talking Meowth! I guess I was right on with that comment." She noted the looks Cagomarg was getting. "Oh this is my Slugma Cagomarg. She is a real sweetie when she doesn't forget to control her temperature." Linalee said poking fun at her pokemon. It replied with an indignat "Sluu." and increased her body temperature for a moment. Linalee reacting winced and dropped her down onto the ground with a sploshing thump. "Not your best plan." Linalee said to her pokemon that pulled itself slightly splattered back together.
