XanatosGray LQ A silver flask that was probably worth more than the parish made in a year appeared in Sols hand. Opening it, he poured brandy into his milk and took a sip, a blisfull smile coming to his face. "Thank you, preist." He took another sip. "Is it really so difficult to run this place? It's not very big." A sigh passed through Jeromes lips and he shook his head, "No, it's not difficult. Just...lonely." He put the kettle on the fire and set about making breakfast for his superior. "Are there not other priests here? And surely you have travellers all the time." Another of those wry smiles touched his lips. "After the past two days, one would be inclined to think you would leap at the chance for some alone time." He drank some more of his milk as he watched Jerome prepare for cooking. "Why do you not give him some of the food that Saiki person made?"

And this," Jerome swept his hand, indicating all the visitors, "is very rare indeed. There are a few good inns in town that people usually stay at. And when we do get travelors, they leave the next morning..."

As it stands, you will have company for at least a few more days if that is any consolation." Sol sipped his drink again and was about to say something more when Rio interjected. "Where is the nearest town priest?" asked the emerald eyed boy sitting in the window.

"Down the road, about a five minute walk if you're going slow."

There was a hint of desperation and hope in both boy's eyes and voices as they waited for Jerome's answer.

After the boy had left, Atoshi steped away from Adonis "Do you need my blood? I have no problem giving it to you"

There was no agression, however, just that chaildlike eagerness. "In the past months, or weeks, or days, has there been news of a woman and a man coming through? Or any strange deaths? Any young boys or men or woman being led away?"

You'd have to go ask the people in the town."

Bright smiles were on both their faces, as if they had just found the missing peice in a difficult but nearly complete puzzle. A silent communication seemed to pass between them as Sol finished his milk and stood, looking at Jerome. "We might be leaving this evening preist." A faint teasing grin came to his face. "If that is any consolation."

He'd never get used to this but it wasn't a bad feeling either.

Rio all but danced over to the windowsill, hopping up and settling himself back down. The young boy was practically jittering with surpressed excitement, his tail twitching and waving so fast it was as if he was wagging the appendage like a happy puppy. His brother, on the other hand, remained calmer, more composed, but the same jittery eagerness was apparent in his eyes, which were alight with a blue so brilliant as to rival the sky. "Thank you, preist. I appreciate all you have done for my brother and I."

It wasn't natural for him to be so...peppy, "it is my duty and as such, require no thanks."
