*Hearing something in the bush make him go still... but he was still spotted, more than likely it was his pure black coat. Jumping back slightly he hissed. Croucheing low as he retreated backwards he called over to the other whom just ran into his side.* who... are you.. *being rather cold with the comment he didnt know what to say, being a loner most of his life made him get defenses against others.*

"Okay, Chukizo, you gotta stay away from the tall grasses. That's where the big predators lurk. Got it? I don't want you to become hyena food," Pakaa says, sternly looking down his striped nose at his charge.
The zebra stallion is standing under one of the large trees on the edge of the jungle, lazily wasting away the day in the summer heat. Next to him, squirming and looking annoyed with the 'life lessons' is a young colt, barely past weaning stage, still with the brown stripes that declare him a youngster. "Okay, Pakaa," The other whines, fidgeting restlessly. "I get it already."

"I'm...Itazura." The cub said, his tone suprisingly steady, though he didn't know if he was dealing with friend or foe. "I don't mean any harm.." He paused, digging his claws into the ground so he wouldn't be able to run away, as much as he wanted to at the moment. "I was just looking for some food. Don't take it personally, or anything..It's just..I'm STARVING, and I have a habit of jumping to conclusions." He laughed a bit, then stopping himself for fear of how the leopard would react. They were unpredictable, or so he had been told. "I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name. A-And you are..?" He stuttered slightly, not intending to in the least. He couldn't help his growing fear, it was in his nature.

((*meeps!* i wanna rp milia now..))
*standing up from her obviusly long rest she notices that her ancle is feeling slightly better.. at least she can now walk on it... giveing a sigh of relief she walks out of the bushes... though she comes to a disarray when she noices something... her herd is no where to be found. She remembers hearing of something that if the herd cant find her.... they seemingly leave her... not wnating to slow the herd to possible predators lurking around. Whinnying softly she stomps her feet... she was all alone.*

"W-Well of course n-not!" Itazura said, cursing himself on the inside for continuing to studder. "I mean..maybe if you were a rabbit or something..." He stopped, knowing he had said just about the worst thing possible to say in such a situation. "Which you're NOT, of course." He said rather quickly, hoping to make up for his previous blunder. "You're a...majestic and er.. not-edible leopard! I'm sure you'd rip anyone apart that came an inch near you with those claws, anyways..." The young cub immeadiately regretted his last statement, hoping he hadn't given the seemingly scary leopard any ideas as to what to do with him.

*shakeing his head he relaxes slightl, not senseing a threat from the cub much. His claws still out incase he tried to make a fast one on him though he replies.*its alright, haveing pure black fur can be a sin.. very noticeible if not hidden in the right places.*nodding to himself he relaxes again and sits down on his rump, his Spotted tail swishing back and forth slightly.* and no.. im not a rabbit.. and trust me.. im already full, i had a meal of fish a little while ago.

"Fish?!" He said suddenly, immeadiately letting his guard down at the smallest mention of any sort of food. Young Itazura was now fairy sure the leopard wouldn't hurt him, so he allowed his gaze to wander a bit. "Would you mind telling me where exactly the place you fished at was located..?" He asked curiously, his stomach beginning to rumble again as if in evidence of his sincerity.

"Pakaa, can I go play now?" The little child whines, prancing from one hoof to another. It's difficult to stay still at this age, and an elder's warnings just never seem to make a difference; it's not like he'll listen to them anyways.
But, for the moment, it's the stallion who isn't listening. His head darts up; a whinny! Somewhere nearby, too. Pakaa throws back his head and bugles a greeting.

"Er...is there any way you could find those tracks, again.?" Ita asked cautiously, his weight shifting from one side to the other as it became apparent he was quite hungry. "Or..we could just find another place to go hunting, whatever you want." He said quietly, his gaze shifting to the ground as he hoped he hadn't sounded like he was going to lead over the leopard. He was still weary of his aquaintence's attitude, of course.

*chuckling slightly he refrains to saying :want some bugs!? theirs plenty over there..* well... give me a few minutes.. let me go explore the tree tops. *Jumping onto the nearest tree he jumps from branch to branch and dispears into the upper brush for a few to look out upon the lands.*

"Eh..?" Itazura asked to no one in particular, his gaze following the leopard, even as he dissapeared into the treetops. He shrugged, now looking to the ground with his gray eyes. "Bugs, huh..." He said quietly, now silently searching the grass, his target being the tiny bugs that lined the ground. Spotting a large colony of ants, the cub immeadiately danced around, scooping up the creatures in his paws and eating them in mass quantities. "These are actually...good!" He exclaimed happily, and once he was satisfied for the time being, sat on his haunches and waited patiently for his new friend to return.

*Lifting her head and turning her ears towards the noise it seems slightly familiar, Starting to go into a limping trot she wanders towards the noise. Seeing in the distance some familiar striped animals instead of the rolling plains she tried to go into a gallop but finds herself triiping over her feet*

*returning a few second later he looks down at the cub and points to the east.* head east, i could faintly see a myst radiateing from the cataract. theirs some mighty good fish their.. but be catious.. their alot of life around that area and maybe competition for food... because it is near water.*noticeing that he has dirt around his mouth he blinks* you didnt actually eat the bugs did you? BLECK!*he shakes his head out of thinking of bug juices*

Itazura narrowed his eyes at the cub, slightly annoyed he had tricked him. "Actually, they were pretty good." He said flatly, looking towards the East for a moment. "You should try them before you practically throw up over them, ya know...Anyways.." He sighed, covering the insect hole with some dirt to prevent anyone else from finding his spot. "Should we be heading over now...? I mean, do you think there will be any animals that might feel a bit...bothered by our presence? Bigger cats, I mean."

*nodding to the other he sighs* im a bit of a loner.. but from what ive seen here theirs a few cubs... some annoying birds... one of which scares me o.o but sure.. lets go. Im going to stay in the tree tops.. ill look out for anything comming near here. *The panther nodded his head and Started to pounces from tree to tree heading in the direction of the Waterfall. Looking back to the cub he nodded slightly* you comming?
