Hi I'm new. I applied yesterday and just got accepted today. My name is Daleri and my interests are animals, having fun, acting like a kid (I love climbing things and running around outside and playing games), hiking and camping, swimming/snorkeling, dinosaurs/paleontology (dromaeosaurids in particular), Mexican food, and pink lemonade. I'm also a therian - my phenotype is a deinonychus.



My character is me as my therian side. I'm hoping to find some kind of RP going that I can play my character in. Here's the profile/description:

Name: Daleri

Gender: Female

Species: Deinonychus

Age: young adolescent

Description: Daleri has black scales all over her body. Her frame is covered in slate blue feathers, but her face, hands, and lower legs are bare. The feathers on her underbelly are medium grey. She has a crest of tall, stiff feathers running down the back of her neck from the base of her head to the middle of her shoulder blades. The crest feathers are black, grey, and royal blue. She has a black tuft of longer feathers on her tail. Daleri has red eyes, and her claws are black and shiny. Her body is slender and lithe, and her small size makes her fast and agile, as well as adept at climbing trees. She has no scars or distinguishing marks.

Mentality: Daleri is somewhat introverted but not shy, she just prefers to keep to herself usually. She doesn't trust easily and doesn't usually like the company of other deinonychs unless she feels they are worth her respect by judging their actions and leadership. She doesn't make friends easily, but when she does make friends, she is very affectionate and even hyper around them. When in a pack, Daleri is very loyal, but it takes a lot to prove the pack is worth her time. She mostly prefers being a loner, or just having a small pack of close friends to keep her company. Daleri is wary of utahraptors and strangers in general, and very afraid of acros. She is curious and mischievous, loves to explore and observe things around her quietly and secretly. She likes to play and can keep herself amused without much trouble - her favorite games are climbing, swimming, and chasing and pouncing furballs, or even imaginary furballs.

History: Daleri was born to a medium sized pack of deinonychs. The pack was composed of a few families, extended relatives, and their chicks. Daleri was hatched from a clutch of four eggs. She had two brothers from the clutch who were born almost a full day ahead of her, and the fourth egg never hatched. Since Daleri's brothers were hatched before she was, even though they were from the same clutch, her brothers had an advantage and grew bigger and stronger. They often played rough, and Daleri learned early on to go off to play by herself. She taught herself how to hide in small spaces and climb trees to get away from her brothers. Daleri didn't get along with any of the other chicks in her pack as a youngster, and became a loner early on. Her parents were the alphas of the pack, and they taught Daleri and her brothers how to hunt and catch smaller prey as well. Daleri's parents taught her about respect and also to be territorial to defend and protect oneself.

When Daleri and her brothers were a year old, they started taking on more responsibilities in the pack hunts to prepare for the day they set off on their own. Daleri was often at a disadvantage for being small, but she made up for it in speed. Preferring to hunt alone sometimes, Daleri perfected her skills to track smaller prey such as small mammals and even fish. The summer after Daleri had turned a year old, her two brothers set off from the pack together and headed further east. Daleri set off on her own as well, like most other chicks did, but she went alone and headed in her own direction. For a while she lived alone, getting by on scavenging and hunting what she could. Her wanderlust brought her to the borders of what is the Gaian forest territory.
