The White Scars commander has a nice power spear you could use. Or you could look at some of the WFB minis.

I'm just two mini's away from having my complete 2.000 points army list complete and all of the sudden I'm getting the idea of replacing some sergeants to remove the clone effect and add a little more character to the army. xp

Is this a common case, or something special?

Deathwatch can ally with any imperial amry. Could you imagine the boost they would add to guard... eek

@ Lt. Brookman: Yes it is common as the army achieves it final stages of glory that you choose to add a bit more to it or change something that will look better if changed...

Whew, I was thinking that it was a side effect of not taking my pills again. Welp, then I can safely buy those special things to give my army that extra "umpf" that I feel is lacking.

And about the Death Watch, yeah, the current squad rules can join any army, as long as it's Imperial. (it would be ironic for a DW squad to join forces with Eldar or Tau, not to mention silly.) DW squads would make excellent baddy hunters, as they can face monstrous creatures ans other nasties while the Guard can show the smaller runts the way they think about xeno filth.

The Alien Hunters codex could let you pick certain alien armies as allies, such as Eldar, Kroot mercenaries and Tau, though this is more of a thought from the designers then a real confirmation.

Well, in the latest US White Dwarf, there is a batrep between the new Tyranids and Imperial Guard with Death Watch allies. The Death Watch do more than double their points cost in damage, while the remaining Imperial Guard are dispatched with frightening ease. To be fair, the scenario is a long-shot regardless, and the IG player professes that he has never won with his IG army.
