He smiled back gently, tilting his head. "Quite a story, that one," he said, warmly, "It would make a wonderful preface for a fairytale, or a fantasy novel."

She nodded, "perhaps so. But regardless of the fairy-tale-effect it may have, it's true, and I do have a sister out there. Elvlyn walked out of my life after the first half century of my life. They were just starting to create the "car" then. More like an abomination to some people, but who knows what people really thought back then. I see them now, and they look fancy... then again, some look like giant bugs that should have been squashed ages ago. She never really said why she left. Perhaps she didn't like how everyone but us seemed to die out, maybe she went looking for the cause. Had she stayed with me, she would have found out ages ago. This worlds' magic... that's what did it to us. Some people have magic that can alter forms, but for us, it prolonged, or even sustains our life. I don't know if it gives out eventually... I hope it doesn't for another century or two. I want to see the future. I want to see... if the books I read project the true future with this world." She paused and shook the far out look from her eyes, then smiled at Cass. "I must appologize, I tend to ramble about the past when left lose. Please, if I ramble too much, just shush me." Her smile widened.
(( i know u can't really shush her, but it's amusing to say that xd and yes, she will have a sister, i just have to buy her first >.< she'll be an unlimited of the same look, but different skin tone... i think. ))

Anteros entered the library and smiled as he looked around. There was nothing like being surrounded by books to get you out of a bad mood. Because after all, who could stay in a funky while they were reading the painfully punny Terry Pratchet? Heading straight for the adult fantasy section he sought out on of his old favorites that included a young black girl falling in love with a tree...
((Or at least that's all I remember of it. And zombies. Lots of zombies. If anyone has the name I'll love you forever))

Kimiko suddenly realized... where Cass had been sitting, was only air. She blinked, then delicatly rubbed her eyes. Still air. She looked around, and saw him vanishing into the little cubby that had a "bathroom" sign over it. She laughed at her own foolishness. "And to think that I thought life jumped another hour or two... and he vanished like the wind." She picked up her book to await his return.

Wrecking Ball - Harvey Danger Band
((O ... kay. Whatever. =/ Don't godmode my charaters anymore, please.)) Cass had listened intently and, for all politeness and courtesy he'd learned from books, he had not learned that you cannot put a person down when you were bored with them as easily as you could a book. Thus, he did just this whenever the situation proved necessary.
Becoming bored with Kimiko's story, he'd gotten up and slipped off as she reminisced. This was not the girl he was searching for in stories and in life. In this case, he had no use for her.

Kimiko kept reading, wondering slightly if, or when Cass would return.

Time passed, as did the chapters in front of her. She glanced out the window, noticing the lower sun, barely peeking in the window. She looked sadly at the still empty and now chilled seat that had once held Cass. Sighing as she stood, she muttered, "looks like it was never." Her look went from sad to anger, and then back to sad, all within moments. She looked at the book in her hand, and in a minor fit of anger, she threw it down on the chair she had just vacated. "If I hadn't picked you, I wouldn't be feeling like this! Maybe the library is no longer my 'haven'." Then turned, and stormed out of the library as quietly as she could manage, bearing and glaring back at the angry librarian, and stalked the streets of the Underground.

Vampires Will Never Hurt You - My Chemical Romance
((You shouldn't have done it in the first place, it's just rude roleplaying, whether you said anything or not. sweatdrop Besides, if you're going to roleplay with us, you're going to have to understand that you're going to be waiting a couple of weeks sometimes for a post. You just have to be patient if you really want to RP with us.))

Headfirst For Halos - My Chemical Romance
((There are other ways to do that, besides godmoding, though. The fact is you never should have done it in the first place, whether you asked me or not. You just have to be creative, and trust that other people will be creative enough to find a way into the RP themselves. Better luck next time! ^^))

Catalina pushed open the large wooden doors of the library, and stepped inside. She stood still for a moment just admiring the massive collection of books, before heading off to look for the atlas. She wanted to figure out just where it was that she and Elise had landed.

When Tajiro heard the doors of the library open, he paused, becoming statue-still as he listened to the footsteps of whoever had just entered. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to be here or not. It seemed like a public place, but it was terribly empty. And if this was indeed someone's personal collection, he by no means wished to cause trouble. He bit his lip and slipped the book he'd been looking at back in place, and with silent steps made his way to see who had come into the library. It would have done him well to let his sister come along, as she would have know whether or not the place was public, but he prefered peace and quiet when reading, and his sister was not one to offer him that.

When Catalina finally came across the atlas, she walked up to it and brushed her hand across the cover of the large book, taking a streak of dust off the top of it. "Eww..." she said aloud before blowing the rest of the dust off the cover, then opening the book to the index.

As the girl's voice echoed over the room, Tajiro's lips curved into a smile. She hardly looked the part of being this vast collection's owner, though he knew that was a touch stereotypical for him to think. Rather than call across the room to her, he padded silently towards her, clearing his throat when he was close enough behind her. I don't mean to interrupt, but I just wanted to be sure that this was a public facility. He pulled a folded kerchief from his breast pocket and offered it to the girl, sure she wouldn't want to brush the dust off on her dress.

Catalina spun around as at the sound of the boy's voice "I sure hope so.." she said, taking the offered kerchief and muttering a 'thanks' as she brushed off her dress "it was unlocked when I came in, so as far as I know it is... I just came to find a map and find out exactly where it is that I've ended up..."
