Well, I liked it, but I didn't like it as much as the origanal Fushigi Yuugi, but the art is wonderful, as is the story.

i've never read any of the fushigi yugi series before.. this one here is my first and i totally love it!!!!
my friend has vol. 1-4 so i just borrow it from her.

me niether. Rimudo and Takiko (for the millionth time) are a great couple. They're not all mushy gushy like Tamahome and Miaka, but they don't completely stay away from one another, either. They also don't fall in love by the end of vol. one, it's a gradual thing, like in real life. I think the reason they make a better couple is because of personality difference. Takiko is a strong and independant girl, but on the inside, she wants someone to care for her. Miaka is just a whiny little b***h with no life and no redeeming qualities Miaka has never really had internal pressure before, so she's naturally wimpier. Rimudo/Uruki really just goes his own way, and isn't used to having anyone tell him what to do. Takiko came as a real surprise to him, where as Tamakins is just uberloyal and is a little more prepared for first love then our favorite gender-swapping prince of felines Hokkan. So there. You have just been lectured big time. mrgreen mrgreen (Hey, I'm not my English teacher from last year, so COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!)
