Her fury burned.

How dare they? To slight the legendary trio?

"Mere infrastructure makes no village..." Yokou retorted. "But it's people." There. The very reason why Uchiha Madara himself was so wary of Konoha... Even though without natural borders, because as long as its people existed, however scattered or wrecked, Konohagakure no Sato lives. Shodaime Senju Hashirama's legacy lives thus: lasting over centuries and many generations. And in more literal ways than one, since the resurgence of the Senju clan too was to Konoha's advantage...

She continued, delicately raising a perfect eyebrow at the so-called 'reports'. "To think, one of considerably such high re..." A wind stirred, blowing a few strands of dark-blue hair aside. Even as Yokou moved her hand to brush the long locks away from her face, she well knew who had arrived...

And as that person spoke...

That idiot! What on earth was he thinking!? He was only making it worse by diverting the Council's attention...! However, she froze and rather than defending her village first, her voice become cold as she spoke to them: "Even if at the receiving end, insults matter little (to me). However..." Her gaze hardened. If it came down to her family, her friends...her precious people and village... "I believe the inquiry was requested of me. Tsuchikage-sama has no-..."

"I beg your pardon High Council - this child just...!" The doors to the room had swung open and one of the ANBU tried to remove the child from the office (in vain) by tugging on his hand...

"Please, don't bother." Said Zephyr curtly. "You'll need more than a hundred elephants." The tugging stopped. "I tried requesting entrance nicely but guess that didn't work..." Good thing that slipping between the guards in his child form was much easily accomplished...even though that was the cause of the problem anyways.

Sighing, the child looked down at his own small hands. "I believe you have a misunderstanding here. See..." Easily brushing by the ANBU's grip, proceeding a few steps to Marcus, the child made a low, sweeping bow. He held the position and with his eyes downcast in a gesture of demurity continued...

"I swore fealty to Tsuchikage-sama here first. Within Konoha's nobility...it's just an informal customary tradition of Senju family that the other returns the gesture. Simply a gesture of trust and respect as in such the use of formal inter-clan address..." A pause. "Oh..." He thought for a moment...what was the name Ayame told him to say...? An innocent smile played on the child's lips. "...and Gesuikero-san is a very nice person. Right Yokou?"

Yokou was at a loss of words.

Konoha's High Council will kill Zephyr for this!

And for more reasons than one!

But numbly, she nodded.

"I understand that my student have behaved very unfittingly for a Sannin. Rest be assured that she will be punished... However, a Sannin does not equate to the feelings of the state." A soft pause. "Hyuuga Yokou will remain under probation from all matters and that concerning her position in Konoha's own High Council as well...and during this too shall remain under Jounin rank...until all damages have been properly compensated to Iwagakure no Sato." Undetermined temporary demotion. The worst slight to honor for a Hyuuga but...he saw no other way to appease these old men...

Not that he was telling these old men Moku's last financial report... Considerably, it was impressive but since his family had taken the vanguard again, stabilizing Konoha's gross annual production and restructuring the village was more than a success.

The man would look over the boy and wave a hand to disperse the ANBU. He would then look to one of the other Council members would begin to pull some cards from his pocket. Shifting through one by one, he would then pull a card to the forefront and toss it to the old man. (Think of what Kabuto did during the Chunnin exams)

The man would look the card over and back to the boy. He would then relinquish the card to one of the other elders. “Lord Hokage. How good of you to join us. Your title lies of your age… or is it your age that lies of your title…” the slithering comments continued on as he looked up to the boy. He would then stand and, for what little height he had over the man, look down upon him.

“I must say Lord Hokage, finding fault in ones students and not admitting to things one has done is no way for a teacher to go about things. Is it not true that many of the repairs on the head of Konoha come from your… unique artificial jutsu?” That word… was it really meant for the jutsu or for something a bit closer to the man. Of course, the… especially this Senju’s birth would have been a heavily guarded secret. But then again, if Iwagakure didn’t have its fair share of strength and competent spys, would there have been such a long standing feud between two countries so far away?

“Trees don’t grow so well here in Iwagakure dear Hokage… so why is it that there have been so many sightings of instantaneous growths and vanishings of the life giving plant since your arrival?” He would then look to the boy and his face turned even more distasteful…

“And I find your intrusion most disrespectful. Of course, what else can I expect from one that this mutt would consider a friend… Very well, we shall take the Lord Hokage’s word on the matter of garnering control or some other favor to the Land of Flame. But you fail to guard against this boy’s lack of control or structure. You’re village has seen its share of pain and suffering do to your lack of structure and support.”

The man liked to test peoples boundaries… and it was evident that Marcus was holding much back… so much so that his fist had begun to shake and drip with blood he had it clinched so tightly.

“What will it take… to shut you up…” Marcus managed to get out of his mouth through gritted teeth… only to have a smile be returned as the answer…

This man obviously knew very little about the strict echelon of present-day Senju.

"Quite incorrect." She snorted softly at 'artificial' jest. "Hyuuga family only dealt with Senju particularly because - the royal family itself at least - is indeed pureblood descendants of Shodaime Senju Hashirama himself. All carefully archived and traced back to even long before Shodaime's time." A cold sneer. "Though the rest of Konoha honors any of the three echelons just as equally. Perhaps, because the very reason why Senju diminished so in numbers was, from the start, protecting our dear village from certain...interested ones - natural resource speaking, of course."

Konoha was a primary source of the poison and trained shinobi animal market. But the forest wasn't all that there was to it: Konoha is nestled in a strategic area which holds access to a variety of different terrains, both mountains, rivers, hot springs, and volcanic sources and thus to a wide variety of natural resources. Particularly prized was the variety of semi-precious crystals such as amethyst and gems that required a natural phenomenon to form, such as emeralds. And of course, there is the continental transportation fees (eh...like why Europe searched for another way to get to the Silk Road)... All of this attributed to the village's quick rise to wealth in its early history - in addition to the advantage of its strong indigenous bloodlines, even though other shinobi villages were present for much longer - thus resulting in the ensuing Great Wars.

The very fact that Konoha stands today then is a testimony - they had survived through the challenges of existing great nations to their right to remain on the map and established themselves as a great nation. Trails that they face - each day a struggle - to even this present day. Even more so - the detestable Lightning Country - and more so that village, Kumo, who had attempted to steal the Byakugan line for its own and now is rightly merely ruins buried under snow...

To be exact, the exact relation of the ruling royal family of Senju was direct ancestry through a close nuclear relative. She remembered distantly her father telling her something about Nidaime Senju Tobirama...something about a niece? A nephew? Cousin? Anyhow, Shodaime's only child was a son, who married and had a daughter who in turn was the mother of Senju Tsunade and Nawaki. Not that this mattered much in the long run in Konoha's book - the same blood still flowed through their veins and it was still direct descendentship - provided many generations removed.

Zephyr probably could tell the story better, having undergone many long hours of brainwashing by the Senju Elders... Anyhow, once Shodaime and Nidaime passed away, the closest relations did not want to taint the bloodline. Most of the Senju family, tired and annoyed with the standing rivalry between Senju and Uchiha (which led to numerous tragedies) broke off from the clan and intermarried with the indigenous people of Fire Country. Thus, by proxy though unknowing, even today much of Konoha holds at least a drop of Senju blood in their veins.

The present day Senju clan thus was arranged...rather uniquely. The royal family came first - and as the pureblood descendants claim direct leadership. None dared contest that. Next came the main family - but very different from Hyuuga's sense. These were not pureblood descendants at all but rather those of the village who are first generation manifesters of Mokouton or their scion who remains but did not manifest Mokouton. Finally...the cadet branch...any of those who possess at least a drop of blood from an artificially created Senju. Here is what she couldn't understand: if those in the main family did not have Mokouton, it was all right. But if those from the cadet family have Mokouton...well...it would become a gift used as one would command a pawn on the chessboard.

There is some chance of rank mobility, but only available to those of the main family. Whenever a second-generation Mokouton user appears, they are technically incorporated as an extension of the royal family. Not that clan leadership would ever fall into one such member's hands. As then for born members of the royal family fro such extensions, generally they are born with Mokouton manifesting however...if not, they will be placed again in the lower echelon. The only consistency is within the head of family's direct nuclear family - to the present and next bearer of the title of Lord/Lady Senju - to which Zephyr is descendant from.

Overall, a cruel and demeaning selection... Yokou would have to say, considering all the nuclear families split up with such arrangement...it made even Hyuuga's clan division seem more humane. And as seal masters - oh they certainly had a way of branding...

"Quite true. I only do this to acknowledge my utter respect for the greatness and experience of everyone's years~" Said Zephyr, beaming, totally unperturbed. There was only the slight barest stressing of 'utter respect' - could be passed off as the strange rise and fall patterns of a child's speech... "You know, with height being a sensitive topic to some and all." It was proving very difficult to incense him...perhaps because Senju Shinrei was not exactly the same child Hyuuga Rasen had brought back. By then...by then, the beloved lost heir of Lord Senju and his wife was already dead and reborn: he bore and was referred to by a number for the first ten years of his life, fighting as a human weapon for the 'precious project' of those Fifth Dawn scientists who cursed him with a body that would stop aging.

Rasen gave him a name.

A mysterious smile, and green-gold eyes glittered. "...because, my dear Yokou...I am both direct descendant and not." A soft pause. "My good man, do you know what gold-colored eyes mean...?" A moment's pause. "It is a marking of the devil (born of incestuous ancestry). I doubt thus you need to ask the method how trueblood Senju exists..." He continued. "Though, I find it an insult that you refer to my cadet branch as such." His tone was still sweet but held an icy edge. "See, regardless of pureblood descendant or not, I claim my clansmen as people first - and Senju, naturally born, artificially made, or inheritor to a manipulated (genetically engineered/false) legacy - second."

Thus although Yokou knows he is a direct descendant and even if physically he is...Zephyr had long walked on that strangely thin line. Born of the royal family...but his parents never knew him. No, his foolish father certainly paid the price to trick God...for his wife, who was not supposed to be able to bear children, to have a child of their own... However, that turned on them. The same people they trusted turned out to be the worst sort. And now, today imagine - what scandal would it be to his clan and village - when they learn? Not a day past eighteen, yet seventeen years have come and gone. But there was no need to tell such a person why he chose this form.

Goodness no - he'll rather tell all of his villagers first.

...and that is really something to say, provided that he can almost 'hear' the accusations that 'the Senju Hokage is like the damned Fire b*****d!' After all, who in their right mind would want a leader that doesn't age...? Especially in a to-death job like the Hokage office.

But the beaming smile never left those childish features. "Oh~ No need to worry, dear Moku is doing quite well. Thanks for asking~ And nope, the village won't have to bear the burden. Goodness, I won't ever hear the end of it from the Council of Elders if that happened... I assure Senju alone have more than quite the sufficient means to pay." A mere month of the lucrative poison trade profits alone would be sufficient. And that's not even off of Konoha's poison trade. Senju itself grew herbs of their own.

At the Mokouton accusation, he pretended to look confused, giving the old man the most innocent look mustered for a child's visage. "Really? Sure it wasn't a Genjutsu? You know, the cool tree-killing one?" A shrug. "Hey, the sun is quite intense here. People get delusional." These people didn't need to know the soil his Mokouton rooted in just becomes a bit more rich in humus content...but that have to undergo testing and its under the surface anyways. Otherwise than that, no other traces remain. Not like he was going to suggest for them to start farming.

As for now, he'll have to ignore Marcus' protests. The only bad part of this is...well...there are those of Yokou's family in a good distance from the tower, watching the meeting... And since they could lip-read...well...!

He wasn't going to hear the end of it from them later...
PostPosted: Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:21 pm

They were being played... the council hadn't brought all this about s easily just to have a good old chat with them... they wanted something... or they knew something. The councilmen would listen and simply smirk to himself.

He never answered Marcus and soon simply turned away from Marcus all together and gave him a simple wave of the hand... as if dismissing a dog. "Lord Hokage... you take much upon your shoulders. Would that other leaders do such great feats maybe those under him wouldn't suffer so. Maybe those close to him wouldn't need for much..."

It was directed at Marcus even though he didn't even get so much as a glance out of the leader. This whole thing wasn't about Konoha... he understood this now. It was about getting Marcus out of the Kage seat and possible out of Iwagakure all togther. His grandfather never had much love for him... he knew this but to see him go this far...

"You all sing such sweet songs but they fall on death ears. I'd have you all leave the village as swiftly as you are able so that no more... misunderstandings may take place. You have till tommarows eve to exit the village and the day break of the next more to be out of our Countries boarders or we will consider it an act of war..."

"THAT"S OBSERD! There are hundreds of their people still in this village. Some are even out on missions right now! You can't possible expect them to pack up and leave just that quickly."

The old man cut Marcus a cold glare like one would do to a dog who'd acted out of place. His eye's searched Marcus and then turned to Yokou, "You will call back any and all members of your enterouge currently on missions for the village and make preperations. Are we made clear on this? Feel free to use any of our messengers that you like."

He had completly redirected the conversation... he did this because he didn't care for the tone that the others were driving it too. He didn't have control in the areas they were taking it and he only liked to speak on what he could completly grasp and manipulate.

"I won't allow this! As kage, I extend their stay till THEY see fit to leave."

The man's grin spread like a vile shadow. He had caught Marcus in something of sweet nature to him. Moving to the table, he would slip a piece of paper from a folder and slide it forward. "This is a page from the By-Laws of Iwagakure. As all nations know, only a member of the Taida clan may be in the seat of Kage. However, if the Kage is unable to perform his or her duties, the power of the seat fall to those of the Council. Our Kage has not be adequate with his duties and thus all power has fallen to us." The sheet was long and wordy, fully of uber techniqual and legal terms that you'd need a Ninja lawer army to read through half of. But in short, it was basically an Eviction Notice signed by all of the members of the Council... except him. The head had not signed it yet.
Marcus knew what this meant... he knew what was going on... it was a power play, pure and simple. They wanted him out and this was probably just the front edge of things they had planned. He was never good at these sort of things so this only infurated him more.

"Now... as leader of the council... I may veto this entire order and extend your stay here. However... our resources run low and even if your precious royal family could compesate us monetarily, that will be too little, too late... "

Even with Slipnir, the quickest someone could get from Iwa to Konoha was at least a weeks time and this man would willingly kick out so many with so little time to gather and say goodbyes. Some with children and elderly... It wouldn't be a sentence of Death for most but for sure, it would spell the end for some.

Marcus couldn't stand it... it made him sick to his stomach... he had to get some air and thus spun on his heals to leave...

"That's right..."

"Because, I know as well as you do, dear High Councilmen, that although you are certainly open to command an attack on us as of current - there are two primary reasons why that would be illogical, see. Firstly, the point as you have so kindly made - your precious village presently can't hope to afford the ensuing war." Zephyr replied cheerfully. Point taken. Iwa had not wholly recovered from the Earth Mistress' attack - if the gradual restructuring process on the wrecked part of the village had been any proof. Yet, in an even shorter span of time, Senju clan back at Konoha had already restored the village to proper running. As the Elder Taida himself had clearly stipulated - what Iwa 'wanted' was money.

"Secondly, this present Chuunin Exams. Last I checked, about half of the present participants in this year's Chuunin Selection happens to be from Konohagakure no Sato - and also to include, competitors of Suna and Kiri both." Two of the strongest allies from all the participating nations. The dare was there. Would the Taida Elder really risk Iwa's reputation? The present Chuunin Exams was a vital part to Iwa's current acclaim: as the only village to be physically feasible to hold the exams, due to the prior Masters incident and rebuilding elsewhere.

If the three major participating nations withdraw - and there too was Elruda-hime's connection to Ame's Fujiko royal family - then for all matters, the Chuunin Exams will be ruined. Certainly, it won't be very difficult for the withdrawing nations to hold their own - well achieving the required number of attending nations - elsewhere. Konoha had personally aided Kiri with rebuilding, she owes the debt to Konoha: and Konoha and Suna herself were finished.

The kind reminder wasn't intended so much subtly. It was no great secret that Konoha's former Hokage, Lord Rasen, was also mentor to Takigakure's ice princess and by proxy Uchiha family, Konoha's connection to Otogakure no Sato. Thus, they had always held a tacit understanding to the two shinobi villages that weren't part of the five great nations. Just like in the events leading up to the Second Great Shinobi War - except in that case they were alone - Konoha refused to be caught dead unprepared. The line of Hokages long before Zephyr had clearly expected political problems at some point and time and carefully balanced alliances - some stronger than others as in the case of present Kiri and Taki - others a bit more delicately scaled. It would be a simple matter, with Kiri restructuring and all and Suna herself settling in with a new Kage to offer...ah...some 'terms of understanding'.

"Really now, honored High Councilman...you really didn't think we wouldn't have kept in contact with Konoha herself? Not quite as isolated as you may believe..." A cold smile crept across his lips. "However, that would be rather pointless now, would it? Starting wars had been the talent of my dear teacher, Lord Rasen's princess, not mine." How scoffing. "And besides, that would be an affront." His role as a member of the medical order.

"...or did you not find it strange that although Konoha herself is well again, we do not return? Heh, isn't that a bit arrogant of an assumption now?" Konoha only initially prolonged their stay because of the Chuunin Exams...but of course that wasn't Zephyr's primary point now.

Marcus needed not to worry, anyways. Konoha's own High Council had demanded gradual return of her shinobi. The children and those most prone to harm's way were gradually sent to accompany ambassadors home. Only those already of Genin proficiency stayed longer - because they wanted to watch the tournament and build stronger proficiency in applying the Jutsu arts.

A soft pause. Marcus might not have much exposure to diplomacy, but Zephyr had. And as much as he hated political talk... "So, good Councilmen - I shall take up your little challenge. The most present problem as you say is resources and Lord Taida here have so graciously granted a two day's leave."

"So what if I can promise the payment within that time?"

Yokou paled.

Two days?!

How would that even be physically possible? Surely, even for Zephyr he was bluffing...

Zephyr seemed undisturbed. "Well? Aren't you going to start? I am well aware of the damage bills: Tsuchikage-sama had been kind enough to inform me. ...worry not, Yokou here can take notes - be it wanted in ryo payment or supplies - or a portion of both."

The gears of his mind worked quickly - the Chuunin Selection Exams inter-national contract and the compensation price offer was a meager thing compared to another goal. The goal was primarily to buy more time: because this particular immediate task, only one person will be vital to helping him finish.

The people he needs to meet with are all present but scattered. If not a single village would recognize the corrupt Taida Council as de facto leader of Iwagakure no Sato - then there remains the chance that Marcus would not be ousted for political value. Then, there remains the other possibility: rouse support from Iwa herself. All monumental tasks. But if he can complete the first immediately without fail, it would be proof to the High Council that he wasn't a dumb dunderhead. As for the latter two, he wasn't settling for one of the other but both.

A race to the finish, eh?

It seemed he would be collecting his favor from Fubuki Shinratsu earlier than expected.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:10 pm

He was playing their game and beating them at it... he really felt like a child in the end. No true hardships, no true events of misfortune... at least not compared to what he had seen or known others to go through... Marcus didn't belong here... he didn't belong on the seat of Kage. That was evident in his mind.

Hearing the boy speak so clearly of things that went over his head.... not that he didn't understand them but that he wouldn't ahve had the mindset or forethought to craft such events. He was more of a hear and now type of person...

Marcus would take his leave, head held low.

[exit]

The Councilmen had gotten what he wanted and thus simply sighed, "Fine, you call a good bluff dear Hokage. i conceed to the better politician." Considering Zephyrs stand on life, that was probably a lower blow than speaking off of his mother.

The man signed the veto on the eviction and simply filed it away without a second though. "Our business is done here. We have other matters to attend to now. Simply must find a new one after all..." he mumbled the last part and waved is hands in a shoeing manor.

A mock bow of respect to the older Taida, before the child gestured for the Hyuuga princess to follow.

"Come."

Yokou was shocked though her face remained impassive. ...after all that, was...Zephyr was conceding...?

"Yuuko?"

And this time, followed she did.

((exit tower))

As soon as the two appeared outside...Hyuuga Ayame spoke up first. "What on earth are you think-?" A slight gesture of the hand told that the Senju Hokage wanted silence.

"The concert probably is over by now. Ayame, find Fubuki Shinratsu. I request audience with him." The first task has only two days alloted... A pause. In actuality, there was no pressing necessity to finish it due to the reverse blackmail logic Zephyr had used concerning the Exams...however, it is even better if he can meet that deadline. Right now, it was a careful power play he was looking at...but this was no mere game of chess. No - politics was something more complex: a game of chess marks only a single battle but a game of weiqui marks a number of battles - a war.

Black made its move first and it was his turn now.

His aim was not merely to impress but also to create strategic maneuvers. Even though for now the imminent problem is off... Another more pressing problem remained. Clearly, the High Council are not to be trusted... Considering the Chuunin Exams is only in its second round, for international political reasons, the High Council most probably will not act immediately to choose and assign another Kage.

It would be a time most foolish to make a transition: considering the numerous foreign powers presently within the village (and a puppet was always taken as a sign of weakness). A month perhaps, a little less more likely, for the completion of the second and third goal before the third round of the tournament concludes. "Secondly, I will like letters written and addressed to Lady Takikage Michiyo Nakamura, to the Councils of Kiri and Suna...to the Fujiko Imperial Family of Ame, requesting formal audience each within half a week's time..."

"Impossible!" There came protests. "Traveling alone would-..." But Zephyr held up a hand.

He well understood the Hyuugas watched and translated the whole conversation from lip-reading. However... "...and I'm sure you all have questions... Think what you prefer of the little meeting - for now. I will explain it before the Konoha High Council soon enough. As of current, hold your peace. Your cooperation is necessary." A pause, before he gave his dismissal.

"Rei and the others - go gather through all the public data you can on Hyuuga Getsuikero-san and her companions. Search the documentaries that were sealed - I know we brought many. Roxanne - take care of Yuuko and Shika for me. Have Shika aid Rei if he can in the task - the more help the better. Make sure too that Hashirama goes to bed in time and gets some proper sleep... Elruda, Sakeme - come with me..."

((exit all))

When the two exited, a masked ANBU woman and her two companions appeared outside the office door, knocked and waited politely for the consent to entrance. It was Seiren - the same captainess who had mistaken Zephyr truly for a child back in the hospital. But why was she here? By the scruff of the neck, her sword wielding teammate dragged a burly looking man who presently had dizzied marks in his eyes - courtesy of her teammate, who knocked the buffoon in the head (with his katana). But she was feeling quite pleased...this mission on figuring out who had been illegally selling weapons that belonged to Iwa on the black market had been the embarrassment of her squad as the Council's patience gradually ran thin.

Of course. Because the culprit WAS from Iwa herself and not an outsider...Seiren and her team had looked suspiciously on Konoha and the other powers present. And believe it...the researching took a damned long time. It was only by a stroke of luck that Ikitsugi, who was visiting an injured friend in the hospital - saw this person thrown from the hospital for causing a scene by the head doctor - and thought to trail him.

Sakeme stayed with the others, quietly. She was shocked by the occuring events. Would she be one of the people kickec out of the village as well? She wasn't from Konoha, but she was from another village... As soon as Zephyr came out, he was giving orders. Sakeme paid ver close attention to know where everyone was going, and what they were doing. When she thought that he was done, she and Elruda were called up. It seemed as though the two of them just might have a part to play in this... Obediently, she followed again.

Marcus slunk into the window of his office. He had forgotten something in there was was trying to sneak in and out without being noticed. There was no telling if he'd succeed.

It had been a while since Zanza had received any orders. Weeks had passed since he even thought about training. His team had split up... again. He had been happy with them for a while, but just like last time, they left him. So after a little break, it was time to pick up where they left off. Off to the kage's office to pick up his new orders. He came to the front door to find it unlocked. He quietly walked up to the desk, only to find a few empty chairs. He picked up on a little noize comeing from the Kage's office and decided to check if someone might have steped away from the desk to gather something from the office. As he came to the door, he knocked softly.

Marcus stopped for a moment... wait... all the ANBU and higher ups in the village knew he wouldn't be in his office so... who the hell? Marcus arched a brow and moved to the door for a moment. He opened the door and soon glanced down, "Oro?"

Marcus arched a brow at the boy... why'd he look familiar... "Wait... that girl in... no... she was a bit darker... or maybe that one in... nah she had green hair..." Marcus would leave the door open and begin to walk back and forth trying to figure out what this kids deal was.

Zanza stood watching the man walk about the office with a confused exspression on his face. At first he wasn't sure what to make of him. He could tell that the man was some sort of ninja, and that he wasn't one of the office workers, but at the same time, the office matched his personality and looks. It didn't take him long to decide what to ask. " Umm.... Do you work here? " It was the most natural question he could think of to ask. After all, he had exspected to find a woman dressed in secritary atire, not this man.

(i forgot what the kage's name in this village was. isn't it Iwakage?)

Marcus stopped and looked to the kid. he then looked back to the desk and found a note. Flipping through it, it all became clear. This kid was on his team."Ooooooh ok ok. Your one of my kids. Ok, got ya."

Marcus nodded and soon looked to the boy, "Ok, so whats your name?" He completly ignored the kids questions. After all, Marcus was always a bit airheaded but still, he was a good soul.

He sat at the edge of the desk and crossed his arms. He was surrounded on either end by various levels of paper and things. "Names Marcus. I'm your teacher." he finally announced with a smile.

"I take it they sent you here to find your team assignment. Well... I sent out a notice to everyone but no body responded so I kinda forgot bout you guys. Sorry bout that. Anyway, we got a lot of time to make up for so what do you wanna learn first?"

No real introduction into his skills or nothing. That was just how Marcus rolled.

Zanza was dumbstruck. " One of your kids? I never got any notice. Besides, I just came here to check for missions. " He looked the guy over again and decided to play it nice. He looked decent compaired to some of the other people he'd crossed paths with that thought they could train him. " Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm used to being trained by the best. I was directly under the kusakage before her fall. I only follow the best and don't waste my time on anyone weaker than me. So unless your..... say, the Tsuchikage or something, I'll just be on my way. " He said laughing. Ignorance was shineing brightly in Zanza today.
