@JK: I know. We see genitals like, every day, even if it's just our own. The inside of someone's neck? Not such a common site.
Yup.
I will say that if I had to eat seafood, it would definitely be Japanese because of how they prepare it... but I can still taste the seafood in most things. I'll eat it if I can't taste it, so if there's like seafood miso or crab puffs, I'll eat those.
Yeah, I think my dream was letting the cat win because I wasn't playing any specific character; I just kept switching rolls depending on the situation (sometimes Yuugi, sometimes Jounouchi, sometimes the cat...), so having the cat win wasn't making me 'lose' in my own dream, since at some points I was the cat.
Oh wow, corn cooked in bacon broth...? Somehow I feel like that would either be horribly disgusting or horribly delicious. I know I can smell occasionally in dreams, but I taste more often, usually just water though.
@Hawk: You know, I've always kinda wanted to write a mature-rated Barney fanfiction about how a cult created him by accidentally cursing a stuffed animal, and he would lure kids in to kill them. I mostly wanted to create it just to see how many little kids would end up trying to read it, but then I realized that was horrible. XD

@Hawk - *shudders*
@Kits - But we might see the opposite sex, the horror! Heh, yea it's ridiculous.
I can't taste the parts I dislike in a lot of Japanese dishes, more often it's a texture that throws me off there rather than flavor (hence my dislike of some nigri...too unpleasant to feel in my mouth, as horrible as that sounds. xd ).
Hmm, ya know until you said that I didn't even think about your own role in your dream, haha. Just cat vs Jou and Yuugi. Hmm, this adds a whole new level to the madness. razz
I taste rarely as well. The strongest sense for me after sight and sound is touch. In fact touch and sound almost feel pretty close because I'll wake with a better sensory memory of touch than sound, although I'm pretty sure while in the dream sound would win out. I think it would be horribly something as well, and it at least smelled delicious.
Hmm...and once again, I immediately read Hawk's dream as I wanted to, hence the shudder. I assumed it was a sex dream. Perhaps I made the dream WAY worse than it should have been. I mean murderous Barney would be ok. But Barney and Sailor Moon getting it on would be creepy. I hope that wasn't your dream Hawk.
I also hope I didn't just put that image into anyone's head needlessly now. *is shot*

@JK: Oh noes, not like I don't see penises all the time in Life Drawing! ...or on /y/ in 4Chan. XD;;
Texture rarely effects if I like something or not. I think I've only had one thing I just couldn't finish because of the texture... I think it was flan. Yeah, I thought it tasted okay, but started to get sick after a few bites because of the texture. Generally though it's taste that turns me off to things.
Oh, yeah I often don't mention my roles in dreams because if varies so often. XD Probably most often I am controlling (pretty much roleplaying) a random character, both original and unoriginal, throughout the dream. I also dream where I am myself a lot, and then also where I keep switching who I'm in the role of, like the dream I was just talking about. Sometimes in those ones I'll even switch into my own role, myself, and then back to someone else. Finally I dream relatively often that I am just watching the whole things, like from a ghost perspective, or from a TV, or playing a video game... oftentimes though I'll end up watching it at first, and then just transitioning into someone's role that I was originally watching.
I think I actually use my sense of touch most in dreams... because I'll often dream that I can't keep my eyes open or hear anything, so I'll just be trying to run from something and can only feel where I'm going. I almost always feel everything I'm doing in dreams. Sight comes second, then sound, then taste, then smell. What's interesting though is if I'm not using my sight or hearing in the dream, I'm always aware of that, and afraid of why I can't.
Well, I did get the mental image, but thankfully it didn't disturb me much. All I ended up imagining was Barney on top of Sailor Moon, and he was in his dinosaur suit and she was clothed, so they kind of just sat there awkwardly realizing this couldn't physically work. XD

Oh noes indeed, hehe. We should censor life drawing. ^_~
Haha, flan is also something I dislike based on texture, but there are several other dishes and/or foods as well. Tofu is something where I absolutely abhor the texture. I probably couldn't ever be a vegetarian because I don't like most protein substitutes. When I went to a vegetarian restaurant they had tofu dishes that tasted like meat, but they didn't feel like meat, so I was kind of disgusted. I definitely preferred just sticking with vegetable dishes at that place.
I think I'm third person to a lot of my dreams and that's a lot of why I don't remember them. I'm much more likely to remember dreams better if I had a first person role in them, but I also tend to blur a lot of realities and lines because I'm not often me (and even when I'm me I'm never "me"). I don't usually change roles often within the same dream though.
I don't think I've ever been impaired in a dream. Taste and smell are usually absent, but it's more like I don't notice them not that they are realized as absent.
Hahaha, yea that wasn't the mental image I was thinking at all. Granted up until you described your failed image my imagination didn't get quite as graphic as it is now. Heh, creepy.

Lawl, I just imagined all the models posing with little black bars taped to their genitals. XD
See, tofu I don't mind at all. Actually, I love tofu. The texture doesn't bother me, and it's so plain it's just wonderful. I love plain-tasting things, and it also makes it so it doesn't really go bad with anything you put it in. And tofu turned into meat and stuff? Once again, texture doesn't bother me, and it's delicious. Almost makes me think of a mixture between meat and mushrooms, and it doesn't make me feel as sick as meat often does.
Yeah, I do tend to remember dreams less when I'm in third person, which probably explains why I usually end up switching to first person.
Being impaired in dreams is scary. And usually it's like... I try to open my eyes but they'll only stay open for a second, or I try to move but can only drag myself, that kind of stuff.
Somehow I'm managing to block a more graphic version from entering my brain.

I also dislike mushrooms, both taste and texture. Tofu it's just texture. I don't like things that are simultaneously hard and mushy I think. And I always think mushrooms taste like dirt. Even when they are cooked in something they still taste like dirt to me. Tofu does taste like nothing, and while I wouldn't particularly like something tasting like nothing (I like things spicy and flavorful) I would eat them if they didn't feel so weird in my mouth.
My mom used to dream about being impaired in some ways, but I never have that I recall. I hope I don't, it doesn't seem fun.
Haha, good for you, hopefully Hawk shall be as lucky. xd
Not exactly a YGO dream but kinda related, last night dreamt that I was playing cards with 3 people, one of which is a girl who I went to elementary school with but haven't seen since. I do know that she got pregnant in HS (went to diff HS) and now has 3 kids. She added me on FB awhile ago but not recently enough to explain her presence in the dream. She was always nice but quiet. Anyhow the game we were playing was Spades, but it was with her YGO cards. Somehow while we were playing it was Spades and it looked like a normal 52 card deck. However whenever shuffling it was 4 times as big and they were duel monsters cards. She had a giant book of more cards, featuring editions from across expanded series (including one that doesn't exist, and I'm pretty sure it's not the new one, had some random name my dream mind made up I think, def wasn't 5D or GX though). She totally does not strike me as a YGO kind of person. razz

I had a crazy dream I was at my university and stole a piece of bread without paying for it. I was kicked out for theft, but I went insane because I was looking for something in the cafeteria. Apparently I had left something my bag there. Well, all my stuff was everywhere. By the time I got everything back, I was kicked out and had to look for my ride home. My dad drove off without me. emo
I had a dream on Tuesday where Malik kissed me. I actually succeeded in making him appear this time, which seemed to be a lot easier when I was not taking Invega (I ran out of it during the bad weather which is so rare here it managed to close my university down for a week). I did some research and some antipsychotics give you nightmares. Invega does more to me than I realized, so I refuse to take it any more than I have to while I taper off it. I'll have to meet with my doctor and get my medication changed.
But I think being off Invega will give me better dreams, especially Yu-Gi-Oh ones. xD

That dream reminds me of being in the gaol (prison) in Dublin. They had this corner that talked about crimes during the famine and punishments. Almost all of them had to do with bread. Things like stealing bread would earn you two days in prison, breaking a window to steal bread would earn you a weak. Your punishment pretty much varied based on how you were stealing the bread. It seemed so silly but it's also kind of sad. People were literally starving and freezing to death. They weren't just stealing for food but specifically to get arrested. Prison conditions then were overcrowded, dirty and you were likely to get diseased and die. Yet, it was still better than outside. In prison you were guaranteed a meal, and that was more than what was outside.
Yea most medication in mental health has some sort of side effect, sometimes psychological and not just physical, which makes sense as those are the chemicals and such they are messing with. And they vary from person to person, so it's really trial and error to find out what would be the best medication for you. Good luck finding something that will suit your needs better.

@JK: I can see where you get the mushroom taste from; I don't like the taste of mushrooms on their own, especially raw, but I love the subtle taste they add when mixed with other things, like on pizza or in pasta or soup. It's enough where I can't taste the bad part, but still the difference the mushroom brings. I especially like shitake, as those I even enjoy plain.
I think I had a dream where I found a huge binder of Yuugiou cards to buy, and it had a bunch of rare ones... I was so excited, but it might've actually been Pokemon cards.

@Hawk - I'd probably be too, but hopefully you'll find something that really works for you and makes you feel better.
@Kits - I just don't like the subtle taste of dirt, hahaha. Mushrooms also have texture working against them for me as well, so they just can't win. I hate the texture even more cooked than raw. The only time I guess I didn't mind they were baked into this amazing spinach and mushroom pizza. Sounded horrible to me (I do like spinach though) but tasted great. I didn't taste or feel mushrooms at all though, so whatever.

See, they don't taste like dirt at all to me. XD And trust me, I've tasted dirt. Two different tastes to me, but I can also see why so many people don't like them, because it is a very different taste... I can't even describe if it's like... what? Salty? No. Spicy? No. Sour? No. Sweet? No. Bitter seems to be the only thing left, but they don't even seem that bitter to me. Mushrooms are just, um, mushroomy to me. XD And OMG I love spinach mushroom pizzas! That's like my favorite kind, besides just plain cheese and maybe olive or tomato. I especially love them if they have white sauce instead of marinara.

I've tasted dirt too, heh, and mushrooms definitely taste like dirt to me. Because yes they aren't salty, spicy, sour, sweet or even bitter. Most people say they taste like nothing. Which again goes back into mushrooms have a textured experience. I mean mushrooms usually absorb the flavor of whatever they are in (supposedly, again I just can always taste dirt) which makes sense in why they taste like dirt to me because they are grown in the ground. They are cooked in things and pretty much are supposed to just taste like that. Yet I still don't like the taste. But more importantly, don't like the texture. Mushrooms being close to unflavored on their own, dirt or not, it's probably the texture I really can't stand about them. Most foods (like actual foods and not just sauces and spices) I dislike it usually comes down to texture.
This pizza did have white sauce. ^_^
