"You get me wrong," Sayael said mildly. "I do use a saddle, but not like the ones you use... It's more... fitted, shall we say, to each specific horse and the rider has to make it himself. And there's no stirrups... or reins or bits, for that matter. It's much too noisy and our kingdom is generally... quiet." He stepped back outside the stables, preparing to bring his horse. Horses... living things... were much harder than bags, but he'd managed this before. He closed his eyes, brow furrowed in concentration, and began to murmur some things under his breath. After about a minute or so, his horse appeared. It was large, although smaller than many of the Ice Horses, and completely black other than some subtle streaks of deepest purple in the main and tail and not so subtle streaks or red and orange in the same and white "socks". The horse was saddled already, but the saddle was very unlike usual saddles. It seemed to be molded exactly to fit the structure of bones in the horse's back - much more comfortable for both rider and horse that way - and Sayael had not been lying, there were no stirrups or reigns or bits...
**
"Mmm... I'd say this one will only be of consequence for two days or so. After that, mother will have forgotten, lost interest or will have decided he's fit enough. We'll know, anyway, because the tag, whatever it is, will break which means she threw her end of the tag away. The tag is usually something that looks like him... but is illusion. So maybe an illusionary nose will split in two," he said with a bit of a shrug.

Although it all didn't make sense to Haar he still nodded as if he understood. It sounded like a complicated way to break a charm...as least more complicated than breaking any charm or curse that he knew of. "Interesting," he murmured as the two continued their walk towards the training hall. As he walked in a laugh escaped him. The poor knight was being ordered around, already trying to keep a plate full of cookies and pastries from falling to the ground. "I guess I shouldn't worry about him getting up," he said softly to Alti.

Mie-tanuki He nodded, eyes drifting downward again. He climed off the horse, running a hand absently through his long mane. He like horses, but wasn't feeling particularly pleasant right now... How could Faryn always manage to make him feel worse about himself than his own father had ever managed? With his father there had always been the wall of fear, resentment and pain to hide Jillian's feeling away in the locked box he kept burried deep inside himself. But he had no such walls with the prince in front of himself. "I'm sorry," he said again, bowing deeply. "You're right. I'll go take him back. And you needn't bother comming to tea today. I'm sure you have much more pressing matters to attend to," he said. His voice remained soft, although it was edged with bitterness. Faryn's packing had not gone unnoticed by him, just as it had not been unnoticed by Faryn's brother ((forgot how to spell his name >.>;; )) and he doubted now that he had ever intended to meet Jillian. He lead Cal away at a regular pace, this time careful not to trip while in the other's vision. Faryn had to force himself to harden as Jillian seemed to exhibit a pained vibe. To not feel. To not break in his coldness. To not ask, 'Are you okay?' and to not think 'I'm sorry... don't be so hard on yourself for my sake.' And what was with that ridiculous bowing? Faryn didn't like it. Servants bowed. Inferiors bowed. If Jillian wanted to be a potential spouse, how could he be when he couldn't even rise to Faryn's level? There was something about when he challenged the prince that flustered Faryn in a good way. The bowing didn't suit Jillian.
Watching Jillian's retreating back, the silver-haired teen rode his horse over to the other male and looked down at him, horse walking with Jillian's steps. "You're still required to attend tea whether or not I return from my ... little ride in time for it. And Jillian--" he rode in front of the boy to stop him for a moment. Brow furrowed slightly as he made the awkward order, "For the next three weeks... you don't bow to me. Ever." His black eyes darted to the side before returning their gaze to the diplomat. "Don't bow to other princes. Don't bow to my brothers or sisters. Don't bow anyone of any court except the King and Queen themselves. I don't want to ever see it, and I don't want you to do it. Understood?"
There was more care behind what he meant to say than Faryn would ever admit to. In essence, it was a directive to make Jillian on equal footing with him. Something... his pride had never withstood with anyone before.

Brown eyes followed the mage around the room with more than just mild interest. Although the young man's mind was a bit groggy, slow even, due to the potion, Xel was still very much aware of the fact that he was closer to gaining freedom from his father...not to mention that he had yet to be exiled or even removed from the castle. The men he had been traveling with had all been shipped out of the fire kingdom...and yet even though questioning had taken place he was still here. Blinking slowly, the dark haired man looked up, watching as Ceris continued his supposed cleansing. It had mainly consisted of healing away bruises that had appearedd during the night as well as any cuts that weren't just merely on his face. "I missed you," he mumbled, running a rough hand through dark lavender hair, gently bringing the younger man forward. Resting his forehead against the other's, Xel smiled, "I missed you so much," he whispered, closing his eyes briefly as careful fingers brushed down his scarred frame. He hadn't seen the other in...in almost a year and yet he had never stopped- The slender mage smiled softly, "I know, I missed...you too and Xel, I- I love you, I do and I'm just sorry...th-that this ever happened." Ceris was usually calm when it came to stressful or emotional situations, usually anyway. He was surprisingly...lost as to what to say...what was the best thing to say at least. The bed creaked in protest at the added weight as Ceris sat next to Xel at the edge of it. He had been...crushed when Haar had told him what happened a year before. That Xel had attacked him with some sort of ice magic and then...fled...without a word to him...and even as the recently promoted younger man cursed Xel's name Ceris couldn't quite make himself hate Xel.
"You're feeling okay?" Ceris asked, turning his head to glace at the slightly disoriented looking man. The mage frowned slightly, "Maybe you should go to sleep?" He suggested while placing a hand on the older man's upper leg, patting it for a moment. "I don't want to have to put you to sleep myself," he murmured with a teasing grin. Xel shook his head, "I'm fine, but a quick sleep doesn't sound bad," he said before he shifted his position slightly to lay on top of dark red sheets and blankets. Ceris rolled over atop the other with a coy grin, "This is my bed," he murmured, brushing dark green hair from brown eyes before he ran a fingertip over a thin scar that ran across the bridge of Xel's nose. Xel grinned, eyes sharpening slightly from their foggy expression. "I know," he mumbled, lips twitching into a soft smirk.

Alti smirked slightly. "I'd say he's rather enjoying himself... More so than I ever did, since no one back home listens to me." He walked forward and almost reached for a peach, but then decided that, no, he'd had enough peaches... for now. He might have taken a cookie, but thought Peyton might murder him with a death glare if he took any of his sweets, so he took somegrapes instead. He wanted to prolong returning home for as long as possible.

Jillian nodded. "Understood." He almost smiled, but bit it back. He'd never seen Faryn so... human. It almost made him forget that Faryn would most likely not be meeting him, although Jillian would have gone anyway just to see Treza. "Have a nice ride," he said softly as he passed the prince on his way back to the stables. He could see Sylvie coming towards him. She would be, of course, angry, but he would (hopefully) be able to deal with it.
** ((Aaaaand... I have had no reply from the guy who RPed with Rosaline, even though he's been on since then, so I can post Rosy! ><))
Rosaline had taken a carriage the night before, but the ride was a bit... long. He had fallen asleep on the way back home and was jerked awake by the driver. He flushed, uttering a soft apology before he climbed out. He had not, of course, given the man his exact adress, feeling rather embarrassed that such a "lady" would be living in the slums, so he had been dropped off at the castle, near the pastures and stables, which was closest his home. He waited until the carriage had disapeared before he began to move off, but then something stopped him. That... twinge. He looked back over at the palace. The prince was there... he could feel it. He had never actually met the prince, but he always knew when he was close... He frowned, drawing his hair back over his shoulder, a soft sigh escaping his mouth. He couldn't move away, knowing the other was close, but if he went towards the other he would lose his freedom... But he was a slave to his creator's intention and so he made his way up towards that feeling of closeness. ((To understand this, read his profile if you've forgotten. xD))

Peyton had no problem with seeing the knight again. It was his own fault for not showing his proof of service...and he had been highly suspicious, what had he expected the blonde to think? He also had no problems with ordering him around. "Not the cream filled ones!" He whined as he handed the plate back to the crestfallen adolescent. "I just...I'm sorry, I just...these don't settle very well with me," the blonde murmured with an almost innocently expression, asking for a different kind with a pout. His means of persuasion usually were hard to resist and the knight seemed to fall for them quite nicely, apologizing as he stalked off to find a different sort of pastry.
"Is this good?" He asked, holding up a round-shaped something with a berry filled center. Peyton looked thoughtful, "Nmmn, can I try it first?" He asked sweetly, watching with a suppressed grin as Cain returned to the blonde's side, confectionary in hand.
Haar frowned slightly. Yes, that boy was having a little too much fun with this. Oh well, as long as he stayed in his bed he supposed it was fine. Besides, being in the presence of someone his own age would be beneficial to the boy...or at least the commander hoped it would. He desperately wanted to break Peyton of his little admiration turned crush for him, this might be a good way- or at least a start.
Turning red eyes towards Alti, Haar walked out of the room, "Well, shall we get you an escort then?"

"Let's just hope he has a good metabolism," he murmured, watching with a slightly raised eyebrow as more pastries were brought to the boy. Alti looked up, a frown on his lips, as Haar asked the question. "No, that's fine. I'll leave myself once I'm strong enough. I really hate carriage rides and I'm sure it would be a nuesance, anyway," he said with a shrug. There usually wasn't much traffic between the Fire and Storms kingdoms, but he was only using this as an excuse not to leave.

Dax followed not far behind Sayael when he went outside. He made a point of remaining silent for the transporting of the animal. It probably wouldn't do well to disturb the other's concentration or else who knew what he could end up bringing here? When the horse faded into view he looked from it back to his own horse, Jacqueline, and back again. They were almost a complete contrast in appearance. Observing the 'saddle', he wondered how it would even help hold a rider on. "A beautiful animal," the blonde prince commented, taking it upon himself to approach the animal. He didn't take into mind whether it would be tame or not. Most animals he had ever been around were. "What'd you say his name was again?" He reached out a hand to run through the dark locks of the beast's mane.

"Isfahel," Sayael murmured, supressing a bit of a grin as the horse stiffened as Dax approached. "Watch out, he bites. But only if his pride is in jeopardy." Isfahel would, of course, never shy away from a hand - that would not be fitting of a Royal horse - but he had been known to snap occasionaly. He wasn't mean per se, but he was rarely kind to strangers. Isfahel snorted slightly, turning an intellegent dark eye to Dax that only too cleary said 'get lost' as he stamped one forpaw. He was not in the least tamed - a tame horse in the Kingdom of Darkness was next to useless if you wanted a stead rather than an a** for plowing.

"Well, there shouldn't be any worry for that then," Dax assured, his fingers lacing in and out of the dark mane. "I give no reason for degrading such a gorgeous animal as this." Catching that warning gaze he received, the prince let his hand run onto the horse's back before pulling away completely. He was yet to retreat away from the animal, however. If you showed a beast you were afraid, it would gladly take it to its advatage, he had been told when first learning to ride. "And I would like to keep all my fingers intact, if you be so kind." He turned an eye back to Sayael. "So, are you ready to ride?"

Sayael nodded and made a small sort of chirupping noise. Isfahel instantly turned away from Dax and ambled quite docily out to a clear space, his tail swishing slightly. Sayael leaped on with aparent ease, despite the horse's considerable height. His saddle bags were already fixed in place - a magic he had learned after some time and experience with traveling - and he waited patiently for Dax, although his horse was not quite so happy to wait, his ears flicking back in annoyance. "Stop that," Sayael said, slapping the horse's neck lightly. "There's no sense in being bitter or resentful."

[[*squee* Taaaaatoooo<3 *lovesuponthem* Ack!socute. I can't say we need more by popular demand... BUT, I can say, I would like more due to Sona's demand for cuteness. heart (And that last sentence was an epitome of cuteness, let me applaud you.)]]
Black eyes followed the attractive teen as he led the horse past the prince. Wait. Faryn snapped his gaze away and stared off at the village in the distance. Attractive?! What? No. No. No. That wasn't a proper thought. 'Though... I have to grudgingly admit... Jillian does have nice e--' NO. Jillian didn't have nice eyes! Not nice teeth! Not... nice... hair? 'Right? Right. Not proper.'
An annoying voice in his head opposed him, 'You don't think that. You know you don't. You can't hide from yourself! Just let a little control go, already!'
Faryn violently shook his head and gave two starter kicks to Whitley's sides a bit harder than necessary. The horse neighed, irritated, before starting a canter down to the town. He wasn't letting anything go. Not yet.
Meanwhile, Sylvia was beside herself. While usually relatively level-headed, Jillian had made her livid by using her horse without her permission! And to talk to Faryn-- someone who, in her opinion, was being a jerk to her and Treza in the first place! "Jillian! How dare you! I thought you above this! I should tell my father about this! I've known you forever, but you just can't do that to me!

Haar, distracted, looked down the hall. "Hm, you're sure? It wouldn't be trouble at all, I'm sure we've got someone already headed for the earth kingdom's capital today so you could just be dropped off," he murmured, obviously not realizing that Alti would prefer staying in the foreign kingdom rather than go back home. Turning red eyes back towards the younger man, Haar grinned, "Well, anyway, if you plan of staying you might as well meet our prince and other such, royals I doubt they could be anything but pleasantly surprised that Allora's son is here. Would you like to?" He asked, he needed to talk over exactly what happened last night with them anyway and make sure that their security plans would be updated, possibly reworked, he'd have to talk to the other generals about that though later.

Jillian nodded, fighting the impulse to bow, as he had been forbidden to do. "I'm sorry. It... It won't happen again. I wasn't thinking..." He felt rather like a child being scolded by someone else's mother, although he couldn't really understand that feeling... he had, after all, never really had a mother scolding him... His mother had been the healer, the kind one, and his father had been the one who made the scars. After apologizing very thuroughly and sencerely to Sylvia, he made his way back across the lawn, away from the castle. He had let his thoughts drift away from him until, suddenly, he caught sight of a familiar face. He stood, transfixed, staring at someone he hadn't seen in years and yet hadn't changed. "Rosy..." he murmured. But Rosaline was staring off in the direction Faryn had gone, his expression blank but edged with a silent pain. Jillian came closer and repeated, "Rosy" and the woman-looking man blinked and looked back up at Jillian. "Jillian," he said, gaping slightly. ((*luffs on Sona* xD Atractive... x3 Yuss, Tato, write more Ceris x Xel moments for us to fangirl spasm over. x3 "Shin, Shin, those girls are staring at us!! >It's scary...<" "Don't worry, Haro, it's not as if they're controlling us." xD ))
**
Alti shrugged. "I suppose. But I'll be a bit of a let down if they want any example of my... er... work. I'm not... a healer myself. And I'm an only child in a healer family. And I'm not even a prince. So I'm pretty much useless and a nuisance as far as everyone on my side is concerned." He kept his voice impassive, emotionless, with no hint of the bitterness that ate at his insides, his eyes blank, the bright spark seemingly gone.
