"No reason, Just saw the island and swam over" Darwin said, speaking loud enough for her to hear him from a distance. He also found his gaze lingering from her eyes to just a bit south. She's like the rest of the women here he thought to himself as he walked across the beach towards the woman who had called him out.

As he walked some of the more sublte features of his adaptation began to fade away. First to go was the webbing between his toes which receeded fast enough to go completely unnoticed. There were a number of other subtle features fading away as well, though many of them were internal.

*Purunrun Island. The little gem in the sea of deepest blue, home of myriad over-busted women with equally over pronounced rear ends, and home to the usual collaboration of males that followed such ladies around.
Purunrun Island, jewel of the blue seas.

And also, a place familiar to ANOTHER sort of woman. She'd called it hers, once. And now she was back. The skies darkened at her coming, and by the gods was she terrible, now. A scourge before, when last she had set sights on the tiny paradise, now she was a fully fledged terror, corrupted and immoral in every way.

True, it wasnt all her fault. True, her Shrine - her true one - had been corrupted and thus she with it, driving an already pyschoticly homicidal and dark mind further down the spiral of depravity than any sane man wished to think about but... she carried it well.
Long long legs, encased in a black cat suit, sat over by low slung red trousers. Arms that were shapely, yet muscular whenever she moved, encased in similar, gloves covering every elegant finger. A chest that was proportionate to her 5ft 8 height, and hair as red as fresh spilt blood, matched only by the ruby of her lips. A ten meter tail, black as obsidian, ringed with silver coloured adornments and bands from base to tip. Wings stretching back from her temples, the same jet black, the same colour piercings, with matching loops in her shaped ears. Horns that reared upwards toward a broken halo, the fractured motes hovering over her like doom foretold.

The Lady... the GOD... Roan DeSeer. Vengeance incarnate.

At her side walked two disturbingly large creature,s drooling acid onto the sand of the beach, their 'faces' leering visages crafted after the stereotypical Xenomorph. As one whined, she dropped her hand to its head, caressing along the long long line of its skull, elicting a rattling purr from the creature*

Shh, Brutus.... this is one of OUR places. There will be war. Always around us... there is war. Are we not Mars remade?

*Scratching both Xeno's, the woman laughed, her voice a clear clarion peal of sound that carried on the breeze as she walked slowly forwards. In her wake, bloody footprints stained the sand, tiny drops of blood falling UPWARDS into the air, adding slowly but surely to the ominous clouds overhead*

I feel our power still stirring... the lines still know me... how sad for all the PRETTY people.... so many... pretty.... people....

*Her leer was a terrible thing to behold as the two xeno's moved at her side, the rattle of their tails topped only by the ringing sound of the HUGE sword she bore as it tapped against the metal tops of her boots with every stride*

Play.... time.....

Rioushu could be seen moving at an extremely quick pace in the forest, eager to see what he had picked up. He continued his pace on his way to the beach, his finely tuned senses picked up a familiar presence, and yet, it seemed far darker, more evil then the last time he came in contact her.

Rioushu arrived at the beach shortly after Roan touched down upon the land, and what appeared to be two creatures that nature never intended to be created at her sides. As soon as he caught sight of her, a distinct mental groan could be heard inside his head, though it wasn't his.

Her again? She...it's still female right? Well in anycase, she's back huh? Well, this should be another rousing round of bragging on her part.

Not very intelligent are you? Don't bother answering that, you'll just end up embarrassing yourself. Anyone with a brain can see that she's not quite the same, one look in her eyes portrays that messages rather clearly. Now, if you'll excuse me, time to see what we owe this gracious visit to.

Rioushu decided it was time to make his presence known to her, although he assumed she already knew he was there. The mind link may not allow her access to his mind while he made an effort of keeping them hidden, but he had no doubt it helped her keep mental tabs of sorts on his location on any point in time that she was nearby. He walked out of the cover of the trees and onto the sandy coast of the beach. One could tell he wasn't quite as unstable before, he walked with a smooth sense of purpose, and one look at his eyes instantly portrayed a level of thought and concentration uncommon to humans of his young age. His attire was still the same, the same low cut, what appeared to be cloth shirt of which a the tips of a couple of scars appeared, with the arms of the shirt more then falling over his hands. The same black pants, loose with many pockets, same army style boots, and the two katanas, one at each side. His dark red eyes, which previously held conflict and strong emotion, held only a sharp, emotionless and piercing quality about them.

"Ah, if it isn't Roan DeSeer, our island's monthly visitor. To what do I owe this wonderful surprise?" Rioushu asked, there was no sarcasm in his voice, and yet no surprise or joy in his expression. He knew for one thing that Roan hadn't come to see him, and for another that she wasn't quite the same as he saw her last.

Goddezzzz.... iz it food?
Food for Brutuzzzz.....

*Roan laughed again, turning her mad eyes to Rio. Yes, she recognised him, and maybe he'd even see that somewhere within that visage was the woman who had FIRST come here so long ago*

Hmm... let me see my beloveds.... no, he is not why we are called. It is not him.... but... prehaps not food yet. For there can be no bloodshed without the RIGHT antagonist.

*Roan ran her hand down both her two pets, who stood up on two legs, revealing themselves in bipedal form to be taller than she was, leaving her caressing their gunmetal blue chests. Somehow... it was still SHE who seemed the bigger, and the badder*

Wonderful... suprise. Oh dear. You dont know, do you?

*She skipped forwards suddenly, faster than the eye coudl track, JUST so she could whiper in his ear*

Someone is calling us.... someone sneaking and wheedling and lusting. Oh how lustful.... and it calls... it calls and calls... we will answer, oh yes. Me and my babies will answer. How can we not? We are Mars remade.

*giggling like a deranged school child, she hopped back again, dancing between her two beasts, who keened at her sides, their malvolent eyes on Rio, clearly still thinking 'food'*

If Rioushu could feel amusement at all, right now would be the first time in a long time. Not only was she as mad as a hatter ((had to xd )), but now she had a couple of pets to reinforce her new image of a demented child-like daemon on a sugar rush. He watched with mild interest as the pets stood up on their hind legs and she rubbed their chests. Next thing he knew she was at his side whispering, though he could barely hear her. At 6'10", he couldn't even see her face over his broad shoulders, but his excellent hearing allowed him to catch her word nonetheless.

Rioushu watched as the deranged mistress of the DeSeer clan hopped back to her pets, his mind already moving through thoughts at a rate almost unheard of in humans. "First you were Rake, a rather delusional mix of two personalities. Then you were back to your arrogant true self, now what? Has Rayth decided to add his personality to yours this time?" Rioushu said, a bold assumption since he had only seen Rayth once in his lifetime, still that was enough to deduce what he had about him.

Dont blame me toots. In the immortal words of Shaggy... it wasnt me.

*Behind Rio, on a rock, the demon Rayth sat in his blue skinned glory, demented grin in place as ever among his mismatched locks. It would seem the fact he had been able ot manifest here in the past meant he still could in the present.

For her part, Roan didnt seem to have heard a word Rio said. Her head was cocked to one side, gaze travelling upwards, following the landscape as she grinned*

Calling....someone is calling...

*Almost in a daze, she turned 45 degrees and started walking forwards, the two xeno's moving sinuously between her legs as she did so, none of the three seeming to trip each other as they headed up the beach. Insane? Probably. Crazy? Most likely. Dangerous? Definitely. The land under her feet rumbled softly, quieting as she shushed it like a scolding teacher, then continued on her winding path*

On the south end of Purunrun Quint stared off onto the sea, restless. A message rang on his wristwatch, but he'd let it wait. His days had been like eating boiled goose each day: So bland. Suddenly, the watch turned up the bass, a loud ring piercing the evening. Probably just something beached itself.. Yawning, he looked down at the message it had. The way his eyes read the text was like finding a cool drink right after getting the house from a long game of basketball. First, you're surprised. Then, eager. Next thing you know, half of the glass is gone and you don't remember moving a finger. Taking into the skies off from his perch, Quint found himself looking down, and saw a reflection -- his past.

Back then, as today, he always felt that his place was in the thick of battle, cries of conquest and throes of his enemies about. Yesteryear he would enjoy every punch, slide with each kick. It was that spirit that attracted the succubus Morrigan, wasn't it? He believed so. But she, like anything eventually becomes, was gone. He tried keeping up in his fights, but they no longer had the same flare. Some called him eccentric in his need for a sense of danger in his bouts. Wanting to survive proves I still have some soul yet.

Which brings us to the present. Roan had been quite the 'lady'; couple blown up homes here, a thread that holds the overall ecosystem stable snipped there, you know, hanging out. Quint had thought he liked her style for some time, joining up with Roan and her family, until he found out what it really was. He figured it was one of those 'Beat in, killed out' sort of gangs, however it didn't explain why he was able to bolt so easily..

Alright. He clapped his hands together sharply in an attempt to get Rioushu's and Roan's attention, Let's try to settle this quick so nothing major gets blown up, okay? It wouldn't be too hard to guess that he was joking, but his 'duties' forced him to say it.

Ah ha! THATS the one!
Mizztrezz birdie?
Yes Bub. No eating until we are finished.
Yezzz Godezzz...

*She stopped and turned her gaze up to the newcomer. A slight, shy smile graced her full lips as took him in, identifying THIS as the voice that had been calling*

We are Vengeance, Quint. You called me here. Will you not greet me as I best deserve?

*Suddenly, the crazy aura was gone. What came in its place was MUCH much worse. Power. Awful power, surrounded by absolute arrogance and belief in herself. A god, if you would. Truly she was strong enough, like a leviathan masking its size by only showing its nose above water. Quint, and his restless lust for the battles she embodied, had drawn he rback to the island, back like a returning plague. Her gaze was fixed soley on him, intense and sure as the shy smile bvlossomed into a full, dangerous smirk, fangs and all*

We are come. Bring me your offering, childe, and we shall see what may be seen.

Roan DeSeer
((Hmm. Morning and no reply. Prehaps when I get in from work?))

((Yeayea got busy, people came in I wasn't expecting. I'll be on all day today.))

..We? Quint would ask, but he wouldn't have time to realize that Roan referring to herself as multiple people wasn't odd. Feet dragging in the sand, he was nearly bowled over by the intense force the Daemon gave off. But in the midst of trying to find his footing on the soft grains, he found a smile. Maybe not in the sense of needing it yesterday, but Quint had wanted her there.

Roan was the only person that actually scared Quint. She probably was beautiful to someone, since it seemed she tried to keep up some appearance, but it was her attitude that was downright ugly. As right now, with her eyes able to pierce steel, that arrogant, know-it-all style was what made him nervous. He knew that she was ready to kill, and she knew he knew, and so on.

Quint was no slouch to understand that talking wouldn't get him far, but that way of speaking threw him off. But he would do something different in not saying a word. At least physically. Welcome to the island, Lady DeSeer. Rolling his shoulders, Quint got into his standard stance, a personal variation of a boxer's stance. While I expect no quarter, it is my responsibility to insist that you seek out no other targets during your stay. Hell, he certainly wasn't sure if that line would stick, but that was all the more reason to win.

No need to guess if his bats thought this was retarded. Since their primary master had been absent, they listened to Quint solely, but this stunt took the cake. There were many complaints, but all soon got pushed aside. Listen. As your last time having to listen to this idiot, let's settle this. With such passion in his voice, the malleable wings on his body stiffened out, spreading to their maximum span: 8 feet.

Quint, having pumped himself up this far, wouldn't stop now. Whether it's impossible or laughable, great men open up their own paths in battle! Now his own aura flooded from him like a powerful waterfall, bandages on his arms taut from muscle contraction. If there's a wall in my path, I'll break it down! If there is no path, I will make one with these hands! Roan, to him, represented that wall, an impassible structure that seemingly would last forever. Until meeting her, he had fought every powerful person that was in his way, and won most of them. Roan was the only one to ever dispatch him without breaking a sweat. His desire to change that statistic was what make the water curl up into waves, what made the air gust violently. The heart's magma burns with flames! Everlasting combination: A man's supreme tenacity, and fighting spirit! Skies darkened, but not from cloudy weather. Off in the distance, the earth quaked beneath Purunrun's volcano.

I..we.. He corrected himself, Who the hell do you think we are?! Just then, the volcano erupted in spectacular fashion, lava forced to the surface by both combatants' raw power. A cry unlike any he's ever made emerged then, war-llike in nature, but much more powerful in feeling. Battling Roan was the single thing he wanted to do in the entire world, and at this moment -- Quint's feet dashing forward, sand flying as if fireworks were put into each step -- nothing could make him feel different.

Before long, he was upon Roan, right arm cocked back, and a smile on his face that seemed to say "Thank you."

Rioushu

PostPosted: Tue Apr 07, 2009 10:43 am

((Morning for you and us is completely different you must remember.))

Rioushu looked behind him when he had heard Rayth's voice, spotting him sitting on a rock, still with that somewhat disturbing blue skin of his. He then looked back at Roan to find her wandering away from him, along with her two pets. He shrugged, if she wasn't going to go after him, he had no reason to quarrel with her. Since their last encounter, Rio had done a bit of changing so to speak, where once was an unstoppable fire of rage, and the need to inflict others now only existed a barren wasteland, no emotion or anything similar to distinguish him from the dead. Of course, that was the real him, the real Rioushu, but none of the island's residents, or Roan, had gotten much exposure to his true self.

Rioushu sighed as he saw Quint appear what was now the battlefield, knowing what this was leading to, needing only to hear their words to see what was really going on. He turned away from the fight and moved over to Rayth's position on the rock, climbing onto it and sitting next to him, observing the fight from a distance. "So, if it isn't you, then would you mind telling me what's happened to Roan? It certainly seems like she's strolled into your part of town, mentally speaking of course." Rioushu commented. "Then again, I suppose it is a bit different isn't it? As if her entire presence changed to that of something that no longer needs to boast about it's power, it just need to exist for the rest of the world to know..."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:08 pm

*Rayth turned intelligent red eyes on Rio, looking him up and down, though his inane grin dispelled the image. he inclined his head, and even shuffled over to give Rio some space.*

Heh... you forget you lot only ever saw the, ah, worst of her. She has ALWAYS lived in her family manor. For her to be so changed she NEEDED to get away, to come somewhere like here... she wasnt herself to start with.

That said, althought this is CLOSER to her normal personality... this is hardly the real her. Like you say... she's wandering around MY streets at the minute, and Im not sure she's got a map.

*Rayth giggled, then produced a dog end out of nowhere to inhale upon*

We got attacked. Happens alot - warmonger clan and all that. Long story short, one of her sons got corrupted by the enemy. Half Cainite, half shifter, ALL crazed, he tainted her Shrine and her with it. Before you say it, she IS a God. In everyway that counts. Her heart has become a precious artifact, a relic. Once tainted, she went from the quiet power she was used to, to a fully fledged God of battle. EVERY person spoiling for war, for a fight, every battlefield and every soldier, were suddenly worshippers adding to her power pool. Scary, when you think about it. Small wonder she's mad any time she ISNT using that power, ISNT fighting. And yet, despite being more sane when in combat, by doing so, she drags everyone else into battle. Like a disease, a plague, all around her take to bloodshed, and as the plague grows, so they come to offer her the blood of their enemies in tribute. She's a vampire at heart. Imagine how that ends, if you would. A God doesnt need to boast her power. She just has it. The fact her two xeno's can talk these days is proof enough for me.

Frankly... I'd rather she was back to normal, and thats coming from the crazy demon.

*Rayth shrugged, drew on his dog end, which seemed unending, and exhaled.*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Meanwhile, Roan was smiling, arms crossed over her chest, beasts rubbing against her thighs as she listened to Quint.*

My dear boy... you are like a cabal to me... you spoil for a fight. A TRUE fight... one you cannot guarentee to win. Like those that opened up my power to me, you cannot die without honour, yet you fight for an end. I am Ende. I am Krieg. The more you desire my attention, my blood, the more you enhance my strength. Why would I seek another?

*She didnt even flinch as the volcano erupted. Her eyes were locked mesmirisingly on Quint. Blood red orbs, deep as the ocean, she took in every word, and every motion. Enough that when he charged her, she was ready to reach out and grab his hand before he could strike her, the strength in her fingers incredible.*

Who do I think you are? You are... my precious Jerusalem.

Heh heh... poor old Jeruzzzzalem....

Oi. You two overstated puppies dont have a clue, do you? This is going to be more like bloody Istanbul all over again. With less Mosques. Oi yoi, this aint gonna end well.

*With her fist wrapped over his, Roan simply stared at Quint, and if he were to meet her eyes, the lust for battle woudl only increase in him. With her power awakened, ready to fight back, she was basiclaly putting out an aura that was enough to drive anyone within ten meters of her to go into an almost berserker state of mind. As time went on, the effect would continue to spread outwards. All the while, for everyone who felt the aura, who took the strength and lack of pain of a berserker into themselves, she in turn gained more power. As if what she already had, passively, wasnt enough.*

Rioushu looked over at Rayth when he began speaking, Rayth's intelligent red eyes meeting Rio's lifeless red eyes, though unlike Rayth, Rio had no reason to be smiling. He looked back at the two and shook his head, as if disagreeing with the demon beside him. "I always assumed it was the worst of her we were seeing, I figured that out in the brief time I saw her interact with her sons, though I always did wonder what made her so here. Now I suppose I've figured that mystery out." Rioushu said, though it was more to himself then to Rayth.

"I suppose you and I differ on our definition of what a god is. Then again, what I consider to be a God is disputed by most of the world, so I could be wrong, or even thinking of another kind of being entirely. That being said, you called her a God of battle? Well, I can certainly see, or more accurately feel why." Rioushu said, as Roan's aura spread to his position. The only noticable difference in his demeanor was that he seemed to be slightly uncomfortable, as if suffering a paper cut that he could feel, too small to be a threat, but too annoying to be able to ignore completely. If one could look into his soul, they could see a flame ignited in the barren wasteland, though it was powerful, it had nowhere to spread and nothing to burn.

Rioushu turned looked at Rayth once more, raising an eyebrow as he looked at the demon. "Are you immune to Roan's power or should I prepare to defend myself?" Rioushu asked, though he made no motion to get into a better fighting position.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:58 pm

Im immune, you wont be. You WILL feel it, somewhere. The desire to fight. I watched sons kill mothers and mothers kill father and fathers kill daughters when she merely walked down the street in Durem, flexing her muscles as it were. Even the priests turned on their flock, the nuns turned convents to bloodbaths at her passing.

Though if I am honest... I am not even entirely sure it is the taint in her Shrine that did this to her.... so much as the death of her tainted son. You said yourself you saw her around her boys. Never have you felt sorrow so deep as the moment Iden passed away. Prehaps this is just the end of her scream of pain. Prehaps not.

*Rayth had been more sane in the last five minutes than he ever had before when he'd bee seen on the island, almost as if he was the other end of Roan's see-saw of personalities. He looked genuinely sad as he watched Roan, shaking his head despondantly*

Defend yourself. She is not much given to SMALL statements once she gets going. That said, do not approach. Any who step into her chosen battles tend to end up getting intimate with the digestive tracts of her pets. Really, someone should shoot Corbin for making them for her.

Rioushu watched Rayth closely, though he knew the demon wasn't lying about the immunity to Roan's power he was watching him for another reason. This may be the only time Rayth might have an extended period of sanity in his presence, and Rio intended to make the most use out of it that he could.

"I? Immune to her? I would certainly think not, as skilled as I may be, I'm still only human. That being said however, I do not believe I'll be giving in to my desire to fight any time soon. Not only do I have mastery over that particular human desire, but at this point trying that on me is about as effective as trying to put the fear of god into an ordinary cat, just as it lacks the mental capacity to even begin to understand what was happening, I lack the emotional capacity for such powers to hold much sway over me." Rioushu said, then nodded in agreement to Rayth's last statement.

"There's no chance in hell I'm getting myself involved in this fight. Her...xenos you called them? No, they do not concern me greatly, but she does. I still lack the ability to destroy her, and not destroying one of her kind completely is useless as they'll only return, possible even stronger then the last time you faced them. Then again, I doubt I need to tell you this."
