"...You see the surface, but my eyes see more..."He couldn't help but watch until the young man had left, watching him for any hint of what interest he might have in the blonde standing next to him. Genji wasn't the jealous type; his hand which gently took Minori's just now was reassurance enough of their relationship that he never felt the need to worry about anyone else. Still, there were reasons to be nervous about someone from the Capitol with eyes on her. Not having sensed any malevolence from him, however, he could only wonder what reason there was. For her part, she didn't seem to know what interest the young man had in her, but she also couldn't admit that there was something familiar about him. Lifting her hand gently to his lips without thinking, the berry-haired heir tried to get his mind off of it but knew it would linger for a while longer. Nonetheless, they had work to do. And while they would have to get into the thick of the battle protecting the town soon enough, it was nice to hear Minori speaking about the future...even in such uncertain terms as she was right now. He smiled faintly. They would see that young man again, wouldn't they?
"I have no doubt that we will see him again," Genji told her with some level of certainty, glancing in the direction he had gone one last time, before looking back to the front of the station where the town awaited beyond, "I am not sure what his interest might be, but there was something about him that was...familiar? He had a gentle, but strong air about him. Like yours." He kissed the back of her hand just once, eyes finding hers and then not leaving them for a few more moments.
The moment of truth for both of them had come. Fight, hide, live, die. Whatever the outcome of events might be, it all ended in the next 24 hours.

Heading back into Town had revealed several of the members of the Reason of Yosuga bullying a couple of lesser demons who were cowering in Junes, and watching the scene had given the silver-haired Senior some perspective on the nature of strength. He could see how some people would be seduced by the promises of the Reason of Yosuga, especially in a world like this one where everything had gone to chaos and those few who remained had obtained a rather remarkable power, using it to survive in a way that was impossible for any normal person. It made them special, but it made them safe, secure to a degree in a world in which there was no security otherwise to be found. Strength, to their mind, might rule all...but in the scene laid out before him, a few humans with extremely powerful demons forcing a trio of Poltergeist into a corner, cowering in terror, reminded him that even the power which let them survive in this world could go to a person's head and be used to a negative effect if you weren't careful. Survival was one thing, but power for the sake of domination, for the sake of selfish desire, was another. He raised a hand slowly before him and within his palm appeared a shimmering candlestick, flames flickering faintly as he looked on and decided whether or not he should intervene. There was no reason, really, for him to stop them...demons had overrun his town, killed his friends, and worse. And though those people were out of control, hadn't they lost people, too?
He should have kept walking. Really, he should have just let them be.
"Hey, that's enough!" he found his voice calling out to them, their sneers at his sympathy for the devils instantly putting him on his guard, "Those demons can't fight anymore! If they surrender, then there's no reason to kill them. We have to be better than this...we have to demonstrate to the world that humanity is worthy of salvation!" He pleaded to the better angels inside of them, but it seemed that while his words momentarily stunned them, they were too power drunk to really hear him. Calling out their demons, they turned their attention on him. He readied himself for the fight to come, a sad little sigh escaping him.
He should have kept on walking. Except he couldn't turn a blind eye to somebody in need. He couldn't build a world based on peace and second chances if he wasn't willing to offer them to everyone else around him. And these guys, too...after he showed them that their power wasn't everything...just maybe, he could convince them they deserved another chance to be decent as well?Quote: 49 Tokens

 Nix Gallen Nix was glad to see Genji and Minori again but decided to leave them be for the moment. Something had gotten their attention and she didn't want to be rude by getting in the way. So she told them she would be back later and went to search around Inaba. She first ventured into the Shopping District but soon learned it was a terrible mistake. The silverette was alone and in possession of a prize. An ambush should've been her main concern but it was too late to turn back time now. Several powerful demons surrounded her, claiming to be part of the Yosuga faction. They believed in strength above all else so it made sense that they came here in search of more power. They all jumped Nix, aiming to kill her for the candelabrum she held. Using her own demons, she barely managed to escape the swarm with her life intact. The bandages covering her left arm gained a fresh stain of crimson and pain radiated from the limb. "D.. Dammit.. That was too close.. I just have to.. survive today and do the best I c-can.." After the session of peace, and quiet with Fenrir...
Youmu had to draw her blade for combat.
"Come then..Let us spread the peace.." she called in a cool tone, the wolf of Ragnarok beside her drawing his own blade...As the horde was faced with a terrifying Force....And Youmu.
Ice magic coupled with slashes, and those that didn't fall to the initial strikes were taken out by the multitude of extra slices. They weren't a match for her, or Fenrir...
